I'm late, but it's still Friday! :D

Just a quick show-n-tell of a gift I gave a girlfriend from the theater for Valentine's Day; a decorated mailbox, three notecards plus one I wrote on for her, and one of the pillow boxes I showed you how to do in my last video. All colors are Whisper White and Riding Hood Red; this color is really growing on me! Just in time for me to have to say goodbye when the new Idea Book comes out in July! LOL! There's also a little Pirouette Pink on the flag of the mailbox. It's such a DELICATE pink!
That's all. If you have any questions, go ahead and leave me a comment!!! I'll be back Monday to show you what we did at workshops this weekend! Don't forget - if you're local, I have a MIXED BAG QUICK CARD CLASS Tuesday night/Wednesday morning!!
Have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy your time with friends and family!!!

NEW Box die!!

OK, everyone. I KNEW when I saw this in the book that I HAD to eventually have this die - we make so many party favors, etc., around here, that I just KNEW it would save us all time! Well! It's a WONDERFUL die; these are two we did the first four hours I had the die!!!!! One is a table favor we designed, a wonderful customer and I (HI, KATHY!! :D) for a baby shower she's having. We wanted to use a stamp set she already had; I already know she's going to change up the box a little, but I want to warn you that the scallop medallion on the pink set was in last year's Sale-A-Bration choices. (Want to know what's in this year's choices? Click on the top picture on the right!!!) Therefore, it's NOT available. They're ONLY available during SAB!!!!

Now, on with the show!!

This is the one I was talking about, that Kathy and I designed. Isn't it ADORABLE?!?!??!!? I wanted to make sure the stamping part was super-simple, since she's going to be making about 30 of these. :D Box card stock is Pretty in Pink. Bottom layer on the belly band is Regal Rose, and then Pink Pirouette that we put through the crimper. The scallop is stamped with Regal Rose on Pink Pirouette, then punched out with the scallop circle punch. SUPER simple, sweet, and will hold a good amount of M&Ms!! :D

This is the one I made that night for my dear friend, Cris. It was her birthday, and I gave her this filled with caramel-filled Dove hearts and a coupon for one of her favorite dishes I make when strawberry season is in! :D

The box is cut from Very Vanilla, and I rolled it with the So Swirly Jumbo Stampin' Around Wheel in Real Red. That's a stamp from CUTE & CURLY on the curly label punch, and the "with love" is from LOVE YOU MUCH, and punched with the small oval.

Trust me. This box is going to get SO MUCH USE - like I could USE my Big Shot any more than I do?!?!?!? :D And I want to hear what YOU are stamping these days!!?!?!??! (And let me know if you want your own box die, or need the Big Shot, too! :D)

Have a WONDERFUL day!

Edit: "Anonymous" left this comment:

What are the dimensions on the box? Can you take a side view picture, please? How much?

I can't of these two, I'm afraid; Kathy took her design home, and I gave the other one to my friend for her birthday last week. HOWEVER, I will have another one to show you MONDAY, so be sure to come back then. :)

DIMENSIONS for this box are: 3-3/4" LONG, 2" TALL, and 1-1/4" WIDE. This is Sizzix Box #2, item #114518. $34.95. Remember: if you order through my website, you'll also receive a FREE Idea Book & Catalog as long as the supply lasts!!!!

It's THURSDAY?!?!?

How on EARTH did it get to be this late in the week?!? I'm so sorry I've been absent so long. :::::::::::hanging head::::::::::::: So, I'll give you two posts today. :D This one will be on the last two Advanced Technique cards from last week; the next will be on the new box die.

SO! On with the samples and recipes! :D

Both of today's techniques I learned from TECHNIQUE JUNKIES - Pat has a WONDERFUL design team together! I highly recommend her - but I also recommend coming to my classes to get hands-on experience. :D

This one is Faux Background Paper. Isn't it a GREAT look?!? Very versatile - I can't wait to try doing this with Christmas colors and stamps! We DID use the "heartfelt" from HEARTFELT THANKS for the words, instead of this retired stamp from WONDERFUL WORDS. The fern outline is from WONDERFUL YOU, and the flower is also from HEARTFELT THANKS. Colors we used were So Saffron, Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, and gold (for the word). It was great fun to learn AND teach!

This one is called FAUX FELT. The paper on the flowers feels like felt - it's way cool, especially since the big thing right now is felt accents. The colors are Sahara Sand,Cameo Coral, Mellow Moss, and Whisper White. The stamp is from SINCERE SALUTATIONS. We used the five-petal flower punch, the boho blossoms punch, the medium oval punch, and the eyelet lace punch. Yes, we got punchy with this card - but it was fun, and easy to do!
OK. Be back in a few with another post - hope you've enjoyed these techniques!!!

CD Folder Book Class

Hi, everyone! Here's Saturday's project; everything's done with Riding Hood Red and Whisper White. The CD folders you can order from ULine; I did a split with someone else, because you can get a large number for a really reasonable price! :) There's very little stamping, but LOTS of punching! We had a great time; if the clamor is great, I might put together a class you could order or offer the class again. Please let me know if you'd do one of the two, so I know to go ahead and prep! :D

As we go, if there's something special I think you need to know, I'll put it in; otherwise, enjoy the pictures! :)

Cover: 5-petal flower punch, Boho Blossoms punch, Naturally Serif alpha die/Big Shot

Tag corner punch, 3/4" circle punch

Eyelet lace punch

Heart to Heart punch, Beautiful Butterflies die/Big Shot, round tab punch
WONDERFUL YOU stamp set

DEFINE YOUR LIFE stamp setScallop Envelope die/Big Shot

NOTE: On this page border, I punched the Boho Blossoms randomly on a 1-1/2" strip of RHR DSP (Dontcha just LOVE alphabet soup? :D), and adhered the punched strip to the page. Then, I adhered the OPPOSITE side of the DSP into the negative spaces. Cool, huh. :D

Scallop Circle punch - cut into center area for each petal!
I can't wait to hear your responses to this project; it got a LITTLE frustrating for a little bit - if you don't pay CLOSE attention, it's easy to adhere something somewhere it doesn't go! - but that was quickly conquered! :D

Advanced Techniques!

Happy Friday! Goodness, it seems like this has been the longest and the shortest week I've had. :D We had the AT class this week, and had a GREAT time! I'll show you two cards today, and two on Monday. Enjoy!

Isn't he just the most fun?!?!? This was the fastest technique - I love doing MARBLING! (SEE?? You need to come to my classes!!!) That's the Sock Monkey set, with Confetti White, Whisper White, Summer Sun, and Real Read card stocks. We used Stampin' Pastels on the monkey to color him in.

I know this card uses a retired stamp, but I couldn't help it! I love my SKETCHES sets, and miss them dearly! It's also retired Designer Series Paper, but I know you'll forgive me. ;)

Anyway. This technique I learned from TECHNIQUE JUNKIES - Pat is AWESOME! Tell her I sent you! :) It's called QUILTED FRAME, and is a great way to use your scraps of DSP. That's Pink Pirouette on top of Whisper White, and stamped in Pretty in Pink.

Have a WONDERFUL weekend!! We're having an awesome class tomorrow a CD HOLDER BOOK. I can't wait to share it with the friends who are coming!!!!!

What are YOU stamping? ;)

National Chocolate Month

Good morning! Sorry about missing yesterday; I was completely wiped out, and only did what was necessary to get by. :)

SO! Monday night was my second annual celebration with my customers who chose to come of National Chocolate Month. We made one 3D project and one card. The only rule is that we stamp with chocolate colors. :D

This little basket is made with my Big Shot :D and the scallop envelope die. We also used one of the new Texturz plates to add dimension to the Chocolate Chip card stock panels that go all the way around.

The medallion on the front is a curly label punch stamped in Chocolate Chip on Pink Pirouette, with a Very Vanilla oval punch stamped in Riding Hood Red. Stamp sets for those are CUTE & CURLY and the Sale-A-Bration set, YUMMY. (You still have time to get your SAB merchandise, everyone! CONTACT ME to find out how!)

We covered mini KitKat bars in Candy Lane Designer Series Paper (it's SUCH pretty paper!!!), and then put a Chocolate Chip belly band around them. We punched hearts with the Heart to Heart punch, and used the two larger hearts centered on the front of the candy; the littlest hearts, as you can kind of see in the side picture, we put on the handle on the side. :)

These are SO cute, and easy treat baskets for any occasion!

The card is one of my favorites that I've done in a long time - simply because it is simple, clean, classic, and FUN. :) We stamped the cupcake and the saying inside - both from CRAZY FOR CUPCAKES - with Chocolate Chip CRAFT ink, and embossed it with clear embossing powder. It's stamped on Very Vanilla, then layered on Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla - and all those layers are hit with the ticket corner punch - another one of my favorite toys tools. ;D

The next layer, the bigger Creamy Caramel, we ran through the Big Shot on the second side of the Texturz plate we used for the basket sides. (I'm falling in love with those plates!!! They sure make it easy to do a beautiful, FAST card!!) Then it's layered onto Chocolate Chip before being attached to the Very Vanilla card. The image layers are put onto the front of the card with dimensionals. SUPER simple!!!

OK. I've got to clean up my studio today - it looks like it expoded. :D I hope you have a wonderful day - and if you want to attend a class, CLICK HERE to see my schedule through the end of March!

By the way, what ARE you stampin'?????? ;)

Last scrapbook layout!

Here's the last layout from last week's class for you! Isn't it fresh? SUPER-SIMPLE, y'all! And have I mentioned latel, I LOVE MY BIG SHOT??? :D

The photo mats are the Top Note die (Stampin' Up! exclusive, you know!). The Summer Sun pages are done with the Stampin' Up! exclusive Texturz plates, then LIGHTLY brayered with some white craft ink (something I learned from Technique Junkies called CUTTLEBUG HIGHLIGHT). The daisies are scallop circle punches with each petal cut in toward the center. The centers are 1/2" circle punches, and the daisies are mounted with dimensionals. :) The journaling "box" is the key tag punch.See? Super easy, super fast, and super cute! To put the pictures on these mats, I'd cut them with the die, and then use paper snips to cut the pix on the dotted lines; there will be a 1/8" mat of the whisper white all around them!

SO. Have you purchased your Big Shot yet? If not, CLICK HERE and click the SHOP NOW button at the top! Get your Big Shot - I recommend the starter kit!! - and then you'll earn hostess benefits AND SAB freebies. There will never be a better time than during Sale-A-Bration to purchase!!!!! If you have any questions, PLEASE don't hesitate to email me!

Have a WONDERFUL day!!! :)

Two for One!!!!

Good Monday Morning! :) How ARE you today???? Did you have a wonderful weekend? I have so many things to post for you, I was going to double up and give you two projects today for the price of one - but Blogger's not having any of it. :D So, you'll just have to stay tuned in for tomorrow's installment!

SO. Today is number two of four layouts; it was the first one I designed, and its simplicity is part of its charm, don't you think? :D

Why, YES, I DID use my Big Shot for this! :D Again, not a single stamp was inked in the making of this layout!

Pink Pirouette Big Shot scallop circles are the mats for the pictures; That's Regal Rose card stock matting the DSP strips; the designer series paper is from the Hostess Paper Pack #2 that's ONLY available by having a $150 workshop OR placing that order yourself! (GET A BIG SHOT! I'm telling you, you'll LOVE it!!!) That butterfly (wasn't I clever to use lined DSP for a journaling box???) was also cut with the Big Shot, this time with the exclusive Beautiful Butterflies die. And everything's on a beautiful background of Chocolate Chip.

Oh, YEA! I got the second one to load up for you! You'll see why I wanted to double with this one; it's another super-simple layout, and I'm saving the big splash for the final reveal. :D

This is one of my favorite color combinations: Mellow Moss, Very Vanilla, and Always Artichoke. There's just something very restful about this combination - and I think it's great for men OR women!

Just a couple more things to tell you, and you'll have all the info you need to re-create this page at home! That is a new Jumbo Stampin' Around Wheel called FRIENDLY WORDS. It's rolled with Mellow Moss ink on the Mellow Moss card stock. The "wonderful you" is from the stamp set called - fancy this! - WONDERFUL YOU. :D It's stamped in Always Artichoke on Very Vanilla, then punched out with the word window punch; I ran the edges through the ink pad to get a little definition, and then put it on the page with dimensionals. I didn't use mats because pictures of friends can be all different sizes and colors, and we all have matting card stock. :D

OK! I'm outta here! :D Time to clean up my studio for tonight's class, the CHOCOLATE! Night! Wish you could be here - wait until you see the adorable projects we're making!!! :)

Seriously. Think about the Big Shot. You'll easily have your own workshop order, can get that paper pack for free, and more merchandise for free, too - and it's Sale-a-Bration, so you'd also earn LOTS of free SAB merchandise!! Just CLICK HERE and click on the SHOP NOW button at the top!!!

Join my team!

OK, I don't usually do this kind of post, but I'm going to today. :)

The opportunity is too good not to offer to you; you can ignore it, think about it, or snatch it up!

There are two different groups I want to talk to today: the ones who might want to join Stampin' Up! for the discount, and those who might want the business opportunity.

The Starter Kit is normally $199. It includes $355 worth of product. Right now, you can purchase the Starter Kit for only $169. It's a GREAT deal! There's also an Optional Stampin' Memories Add-On for an additional $50. Plus, by joining now during Sale-A-Bration, you can pick out ANY stamp set from the Idea Book & Catalog for FREE!!!!!!!!! That's up to a $47.95 value!!!!!!!!! To find out what's in the Starter Kit, just email me - or call me at (615)497-4532.

For those of you interested in becoming a hobby demonstrator (that's how we refer to those of us in for the discount mostly), let me tell you this: right now is the best deal you can ever imagine! The starter kit is 15% off! And if you decide that you don't want the business supplies included, we can work a deal. :) And your obligation to keep your demonstratorship? Just selling $300 in retail value every quarter. That's IT. And it's not difficult to do! Think about how much you're buying right now! Some of you would truly save by becoming a hobby demonstrator. Shipping is free. You just can't beat this deal!

Think about what you love about Stampin' Up! products! I became a hobby demonstrator when I first signed up - I just wanted my discount. And that's GREAT - there's plenty of room for hobbyists! :) But what I wanted to be with Stampin' Up! for was mainly because of the color coordination. SU! makes it SO EASY to use the inks, papers, card stocks, ribbons, markers, chalks, etc.!! I KNOW when I pull out the YoYo Yellow ink, it will MATCH with the YoYo Yellow card stock. No questions! And Stampin' Up! stands behind our products! Did you know there's a 90-day return policy? You'll never find that in a store.

For anyone interested in the business: there's money to be made in this business. The crafting industry is still growing, in an economy where businesses are shrinking rapidly. And except for a few restrictions Stampin' Up! has in the contract you sign, it's COMPLETELY up to you how you run your business. They've allowed us to do a LOT more the last three years than ever before; we're a highly-competetive company, and there are lots of ways to draw in customers and downline demonstrators.

Right now, you can start your business for only $169! That's a GREAT opportunity! Enjoy the flexibility of setting your own hours and working from home; it provides part-time income and you are your own boss.

As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you'll be supported with:
A monthly magazine filled with project ideas and business training
A web site dedicated to providing you with training and information for your business
A Demonstrator Business Web Site where your customers can see the products and classes you have to offer, and even place orders with you
Beautiful, exclusive artwork and high quality products to offer your customers

And that's JUST from the company! I have a lot more resources that we can share, and you'll be getting ME. I've been doing this for almost nine years now, and I want to help you succeed!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me! And, if you'd like to sign up right now, CLICK HERE and then click JOIN NOW! The password you'll need is "keno1996".

I can't wait to see who responds! :) Be blessed, have a great night, and I can't wait to talk to you!

Is it summer yet??

It's sure felt like SPRING around here lately!! Temperatures have been as high as the mid-70s!! I've enjoyed it a little, but it's FEBRUARY, people!!!!! :D I don't LIKE heat, and I'm a little wary of how hot it might get this year. ::::::::::::sigh::::::::::: ;)

Oh, well!!! On with the show, as they say. :D

Today's card is another from the WHAT IN THE WORLD IS CRYSTAL EFFECTS? class. It MIGHT show up better if you click on the picture; there's Crystal Effects all over the lime, to make it look juicy and real! :) I love the colors in this card; it's refreshing and simple, in my VERY humble opinion.... :D

Here's the recipe! :)
Colors: YoYo Yellow, Only Orange, Whisper White, Green Galore

Stamp Sets: TART & TANGY, BOHO BACKGROUNDS

Accessories: Crystal Effects, Green Galore Stampin' Write marker, 1-1/4" square punch, 1-3/8" square punch, dimensionals.

That's it for today - I have to go finish designing my class for tonight - SCRAPBOOKING! If you'd like to know what classes are coming up, please CLICK HERE! Stay tuned for samples from the SB class - and let me know what YOU are stamping! :D Have a WONDERFUL day!!!!

Put a little SPARKLE in your heart! :D

Hi! I hope you're having a wonderful week - it's WEDNESDAY! Halfway through the week. Got big plans for Valentine's Day? :)
Well, last night was our Crystal Effects class, and that "stick..." brand has NOTHING on what we did last night!!! You can sparkle a whole BOTTLE of CE with any of our fine glitters if you want - or use an empty embossing powder jar to mix a bit of each in.
We mixed red SU! glitter with CE, then used either a paintbrush or its handle to freehand the "drops", and I did the hearts freehand, too. We do them on wax paper, and allow them to dry thoroughly - no putting fingerprints in them!!! :)
Tonight, I peeled them off the wax paper and put them on Whisper White card stock after I ran the card stock through the Big Shot (Yup, I hear that - I DO love it!:D) with my SU! exclusive Texturz plate. (This is a 3"x3" card.) The sparkly elements are stuck on with a TINY bit more Crystal Effects. The white card stock is 2.75" square, and the Basic Black is 2-7/8" square. The Real Red card stock card is cut 3"x6"; it's a great card for a gift or to include with flowers or candy. ;D
If you try making some sparkly elements, let me know what you do! I'd LOVE to see what you do - and you can always CONTACT ME or CLICK HERE to go shop now and order some more Crystal Effects and glitter! Let me know what you're stampin'! :D

What do YOU want??

Why Should You Become or Remain My Customer?

It has occurred to me that people may not know why they should become or remain my customer. Customer service matters in a world where so many people are in the same business, and customers need help differentiating multitudes of service levels and providers. Today's article is to help you separate the wheat from the chaff (I would be the wheat of course! :D).
Note: You will NOT find this level of service in your local chain craft stores.

1. I am more than a product. Actually, I am BOTH your Creativity Consultant and your Creativity Coach. What's the difference? As your consultant, I advise you on products, projects, color schemes, and techniques, among other things. I can give you one tip or I can give you several, depending on what you want. As your coach, I provide crafting and creativity workshops and events specifically designed for you to discover your own creativity for yourself. I work from the assumption that you are already creative and resourceful and simply need supportive, guiding processes to leverage that creativity. In the process, I will often observe an opportunity to step into the consultant role and teach you a new process or technique. Bottom line: I pay attention to YOU!

2. I have a communications background and conduct YOU CAN DO IT! workshops and events. I philosophically don't believe in just demonstrating something new and leaving you alone to just watch and try to "get it" based on that. It goes against the value of hands-on practice so critical to learning. The exception is where you need to be shown how to do a particular step. In that case I will demonstrate the step as a means to aid the learning process, but then I have you perform that step right away. You are always getting practice, practice, and more practice with me. Sometimes I make a project right along with you so you can observe particular steps in process while doing them yourself, and sometimes I'll show you how to do a whole project and then be available while you try it - so you can ask me questions or show off your great ability with the same ease! :D

3. I strive to time my workshops with project completion accurately, so you don't have to feel rushed or leave with an incomplete project, which is so prevalent in classes at craft stores that rush so quickly. It's more important to me that you feel you can duplicate the projects if you want at home, and that you're PROUD of your work!

4. I provide SOLUTIONS in addition to complimentary and integrated products. Craft stores are limited in their offerings. They can offer you a host of separate and independent products that you may or may not have any idea what to do with. But what then? Here are some questions to consider:

  • How often do they give you specific projects, ideas and training to match the plethora of products on the shelves? (I do)

  • How often can they tell you multiple uses for a product? (I can)

  • How often can they accurately tell you how to integrate those products together for future projects? (I can)

  • What knowledge do they have to answer highly technical questions surrounding what to do with those products? (My knowledge grows every day)

  • I provide training, information, solutions and products, and offer ways to integrate your products into future projects to extend their life and usability. I then train you to do so.

5. I treat every product you buy as an investment. I take seriously the responsibility to show you multiple uses for your products so you receive a full return on your investment. I also take seriously the duty to show you how to care for your products to extend their life and usability. I know YOU!

6. I am accessible! You can call or email me with questions, challenges, or requests for specific information or types of help.

7. I will work one-on-one with you. You don't have to wait for formal workshops for help on a project or technique.

8. You have 24/7 access to my blog and my website.

My blog provides:
Articles
Project ideas
Tutorials
Workshop schedules
The latest specials and promotions

My website provides:
More creative ideas
My workshop schedule
The full catalog of Stampin' Up! products in an easy "store" format
Online ordering, which is available to you 24/7
You get all that without ever having to "go to the store!"

9. You have access to my monthly newsletter including class schedules, tips, techniques, stamping, scrapbooking and/or crafting articles and the latest Stampin' Up! news. Just email me to subscribe!

10. You can earn an invitation to my annual hostess appreciation events which are free, fun and designed just for you! I treat my hostesses REALLY specially; after all, as a hostess, you are my PARTNER in my business. I appreciate YOU, and want YOU to know it!

11. With Stampin' Up! I can offer you a 90-day guarantee on your product. This means you have 90 days to exchange any new, unused product for something else (as long as the product is in the current catalog and original shipping condition). It also means you have 90 days to exchange damaged or defective items for a replacement. I am happy to help you with either process. Where else do you get 90 days?

Remember, I am not after your wallet but collaborating with you to get what you want in ways that benefit us both!

So what are you waiting for? Let the service begin!

Here are your options!

1. Check out my workshop schedule HERE!

2. Call me at (615)497-4532 to schedule a workshop in my studio, or your home, and learn how to get FREE stuff!

3. Check out the variety of projects on this site and contact me to place an order if you'd like me to make something for you for a special event. I would LOVE to help you out - need birthday invitations? Table favors? Shower gifts? There are SO MANY things we can talk about!

4. Most important - contact me to let me know how I can best serve you so you can receive what you want. Isn't that what it's all about?

My thanks to a fellow demonstrator who let me borrow her format for this! :)

Have I mentioned new toys lately? :D

First, I'd like to say HI! to all you new subscribers - I can't tell you how glad I am that you like what you've seen enough to want to continue with me for a while! :) I'm not the best stamper out there, but I LOVE what I do, I LOVE teaching people that creativity isn't about being able to DRAW, and I love PEOPLE. :)

SO. That said, let me share a new project with you!!!

This is a birthday card for a friend Kenn made when he was working on CAPTURE MUSIC CITY; Nancy Diana is a very gifted photographer, and a very lovely, Godly woman - I've had the privilege of meeting her at the unveiling of the project book.

Sunday night, her husband invited us all to the church where she leads worship to surprise her, and have a party after the evening service. (I'm writing this before the party, so I'm looking forward to it!!!) Kenn decided that I should make her "one of my cards". What does THAT mean?? Oh, well. So, I set out to make a special card for Nancy. I KNOW she'll appreciate anything she receives - which ALWAYS makes me want to do something even more special for a person. :D

So here it is. I'll list the "ingredients", then include a detail photo of the butterfly and the rhinestones - and you'll be able to see a little more detail of the background in both shots. Plus, you can ALWAYS see a bigger photo if you click on one of them. :)

Card stock: Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla, Vellum PAPER (not card stock weight)

Stamp Set(s): Inspired by Nature (INSIDE: Happy Everything, Define Your Life)

Inks: White, Regal Rose, Garden Green, Almost Amethyst; Stampin' Write Markers in Garden Green, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Big Shot :D, Top Note Die, Pretties Kit, sponge, Crafter's Tool Kit (to pierce card stock for rhinestone brads), SU! exclusive Texturz embossing plate, silicone rubber, imressions pad, brayer, butterflies die, dimensionals

Let me know what you think! And tell me (or better yet, SHOW ME!!!) what YOU are stamping! Ummm, you ARE stamping, aren't you???? Don't forget to check out the Sale-A-Bration bruchure over there to the right!!!!

Another new toy! :)

OK. You know how much I love my Big Shot. :D This is a NEW toy for it, called Sweetest Stem Embosslit. It's like a little folder that you put your card stock into, run it through the Big shot, and you pull out this cool piece that's been dry embossed AND cut out. The possibilities are ENDLESS - and it's only one of five embosslits in the new Idea Book & Catalog - FOUR of them are Stampin' Up! exclusives!!!!
So. The designer series paper is the new Raspberry Tart, punched out with the Heart to Heart punch. Colors of the other card stock are Whisper White, Real Red, and Basic Black. I used Real Red and Garden Green to highlight the embossing on the flower itself. The stamp, "with all my heart", is from WONDERFUL YOU - it's stamped and embossed in white.
You can find any of these products if you GO HERE, then click on the SHOP NOW button at the top of the page. It's a GREAT site to browse - you never know WHAT you'll discover! I'd really love to see what YOU are stampin'! :) BE BLESSED!

Showing off some NEW STUFF! :D

Take a look at some of the new toys - er, ummm, TOOLS! - that I got from the NEW Idea Book!!!
See that background? That's an exclusive Texturz plate for my Big Shot - and what do we know about my Big Shot? Yup, I LOVE MY BIG SHOT! (I think I need to make a bumper sticker...!!!) Anyway. Took a piece of Bordering Blue - one of my all-time FAVORITE colors!!! - and spritzed it with some water, so the embossing would be really deep.
I highlighted the embossed background (this is DRY embossing) with my brayer and some white craft ink. I matted that with Riding Hood Red, and took a strip of Riding Hood Red and used my new Eyelet Border Punch - isn't it PRETTY?!?!? - to make a decorative design for it. Then, I mounted the whole thing on a Whisper White card.
The "Just my type" is from PUNS FROM THE PAST - and I love this stamp set!!! :D I stamped it in Bordering Blue onto Whisper White, then matted THAT onto Riding Hood Red. I took a 2-inch piece of Riding Hood Red 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and dovetailed it, then stapled it onto the image. I mounted that onto the front of the card with dimensionals.
Isn't it FUN???? Popping with the colors, and lots of simple textures - just my style! :) I really like this one - and it was fun to stamp, too!!!
So, what are YOU stamping????? Hmmmmmm?? I haven't seen much from you lately....! :D
Have a WONDERFUL day!!!!

Hello! I'm so glad you dropped by! :) This is another card from the Fancy Folds class last month; this one is called a "joy fold". The blue piece unfolds toward the right, and the piece with the Riding Hood Red Candy Lane DSP unfolds toward the left.

We spelled out the "You" with stamps from the DEFINE YOUR LIFE ALPHABET, and the "ribbon" stamp is also from that. We stamped in Whisper White and embossed; the inside has the definition of "you" from DEFINE YOUR LIFE. It also says "friend to friend" from LOVE YOU MUCH on the inside bottom left corner. That's a flower and half-pearl from my Pretties Kit; it helps keep the card closed. :D The colors are Baja Breeze and Pacific Point; all the DSP is from Candy Lane. I LOVE that paper!

So. What are YOU stamping?? Have you checked out the Sale-A-Bration brochure yet?? It's just to the RIGHT!!! Click on that and browse it to your heart's content! Placed an online order this month for your FREE Idea Book?? You can click on that link on the right, too! LOTS of free things coming your way from Stampin' Up! right now!!!! Check it out now!!!

Color EVERYWHERE!

Good morning! Just a quick post for today; I will be back later to talk about SALE-A-BRATION! It's ON, ladies and gents! :D

Anyway. This is a card I put together on Friday - I was supposed to be cleaning up for my Open Stamp & Scrap Night, but why not procrastinate even longer? :D The background is a BIT hard to see on the scan, but it's one of our new TEXTURZ PLATES. They're INCREDIBLY fun to play with - super simple to get a great background! You'll see more later, when I've had more of a chance to play with them.

The stamp set is currently on the DORMANT LIST, but I LOVE this one. It's called INSPIRED BY NATURE. I stamped it in Basic Gray on Whisper White, then did a technique I learned from TECHIQUE JUNKIES. The colors in the sky are Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana, Almost Amethyst, Bashful Blue, and Brocade Blue. Then I matted that onto another piece of Whisper White, to pop it a bit, and off-set a piece of Cameo Coral as a mat. It started out as one idea in my head, and came out quite differently! :D

I hope you'll look into TJ; Pat Huntoon is WONDERFUL, and has a really talented group of designers working with her. WELL worth your investment - and tell her I sent you! :D
