Here I am, as promised!

Allison, you made me laugh out loud! :D Amy and I didn't talk too much about art, but we DID talk about her upcoming hostess party (when I get back from Oregon). :D

ANYWAY. :D I promised I'd post today. And here it is - this is one of the sets we made Saturday at the Ronald McDonald House class - class fee included the stamp set, $2 of which goes to RMH charity.

Colors are Very Vanilla, Tempting Turquoise, and Chocolate Chip. We used Stampin' Write markers on every card front, so we didn't have the TO - FROM info in the image. :) This was a fun set to make; that's the large polka dot texturz plate on both colored card stocks on the card, and only on the Chocolate Chip on the tag.

The tag's large enough that, if your gift bag was a smaller one, you could use it as the central image! This stamp set is SO cute! I had a blast designing for it - and you'll be seeing the results this week. :)

I'm warning you right now: I'm not sure if I'm going to have EVERY day I'm gone filled with a guest poster - if you'd like to do a guest blog spot, please let me know - and get it to me ASAP! :D But I will have posts running while I'm gone. I will be answering emails, so if you need me, please don't hesitate to contact me. I start my travels a week from Thursday - I'm just giving you heads-up. :D

OK, I'm off! Tonight's class is Big Shot & Fabric! :) The sewing machine's out, people!!! Look out! :D Have a wonderful day, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!!

I haven't forgotten you!

I've been super-busy! WOW, what a week already. :D I WILL post later this afternoon, I promise. Taking a break to go to lunch with Amy. :D

It's FRIDAY!!!!!!!!

I hope you're having a wonderful day, and have some wonderful, awesome times planned for your weekend. This is our last full weekend before Kenn leaves for Oregon! I'm excited - but SO much to do before we leave!!!!! :)

Last night, there was a party at my house. :) It was a small group, but we had a great time! I wanted to show you this one first; it was inspired by Robin Messenheimer; be sure and go visit her. She's incredibly talented! :)

But this is what we did last night:

Card stock: Daffodil Delight N, Pumpkin Pie, Marina Mist N

Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Marina Mist N

Stamp set: Punch Potpurri (level 1 hostess-only set!), Grateful Greetings (inside)

Accessories: Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker, 2-step bird punch, boho blossoms punch, dimensionals

Isn't it pretty?? We made it a birthday card with what we stamped inside; it would make a great card for lots of occasions!

OK, I'm off. I'm finishing a class for tomorrow, to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. I can't wait to show you those, plus the other two from last night! :)

Have a WONDERFUL weekend, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!!!

Pinwheel Technique, two versions!

Hi, y'all! Quick post today; so much to do, so little time to do it in. :D

So, this is another Technique Junkies technique, but I kinda separated it into two ways to do it; one uses designer series paper, and one uses card stock and stamped images. So, you're getting two pictures today!:)

This one uses Island Oasis DSP, which is not available after the 31st of this month - it's in the Summer Mini! Grab it while you can!!!

I really like this card. I think you could use it for lots of purposes - I just used my second one as a thank-you card. :)

That's a FIRE square rhinestone brad in the middle.

And here's the second - and I really like it. :D

I LOVE the music wheel!!! It's REALLY versatile!

If you have any questions about the SUPPLIES we used, please don't hesitate to ask me! :) And seriously. Check out Pat Huntoon's Technique Junkies - I think it's worth every penny!

OK, I'm off. I have a PARTY to get ready for tonight; I can't wait to stamp with them. :)

Have a WONDERFUL day, and be SURE to make the time to STAMP something!

Card stock: Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White

Stamp set: Watercolor Trio, Occasional Quotes (inside; level three hostess-only stamp set!!)

Ink: Rose Red, Certainly Celery

Accessories: I can't give EVERYTHING away! :D I will tell you we used the eyelet border punch. :D

The background is very shimmery IRL. :D

Have a WONDERFUL day! Leave me some comment love, y'all! :D And then go take the time to STAMP something! It's only 122 days until Christmas!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Silent Night Technique

I'm not quite sure why this technique got this name, but there ya go. :) It's a Technique Junkies technique; be sure and tell Pat I sent ya! :D

I know I'm early today, but I'm not going to be home much today. :) I'm being SOCIAL, and looking forward to being out and about today. :D SO, here's the share. Remember, I can't tell you everything about it - but PAT can!!! It's also got another technique from TJ, Torn Frames.

Card stock: More Mustard, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla

Ink: More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Soft Suede

Stamp sets: Autumn Splendor, Occasional Quotes (level 3 hostess-only stamp set!)

Accessories: sorry, it's a secret! :D

Have a WONDERFUL day, dear friend! Thank you for visiting me every day. I SO appreciate you! Now, go STAMP something, will ya?!??! :)

Happy Monday!

Did you have a good weekend?? I want to know who filled my weekends up with so much to do! Hmph. :D

Yesterday afternoon, we did a paper bag class. These little albums are SO much fun to do! We did ABSOLUTELY no stamping, and very little punching or Big Shot work - and you can easily get three albums out of a Simply Scrappin' Kit. If you added some more scraps, some ink, yaddayadda - you could do an untold number of these! :D

Here's the front....

This is the Christmas-themed SS kit. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist, Old Olive, and Very Vanilla. SS kits come with 12x12 textured card stock, which makes it a lot of fun to work with. The word "celebrate" was one word, but we cut it to fit the page. :D

I fibbed a bit; we did do ONE Big Shot thing, just because I love the new snowflake die that's in the Holiday Mini - but we ONLY used them on the front cover. :)

Here's one inside spread; I also pulled out the pocket tabs a bit, so you could see them:

Yes, the color's a bit off, and I have no clue why. Oh, well. :) The light hit it wierd!!!

OK, I'm off! Tonight is the Advanced Techniques class - and it's gonna be awesome. :D You'll be seeing the cards this week, but they're all Technique Junkies techniques, so no details. You're just gonna have to come to classes! :)

Have a wonderful evening - and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!!

Yup, it's THAT embossing folder, AGAIN....

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!! It's a beautiful day outside my window; sun is shining, the birds and butterflies are flitting all around. I just love sitting at my desk and watching. :)

Today's project is, again, created JUST for you. It's a spin on a card designed by Connie Babbert. :)
She's SO talented!

Anyway, here's my take on it!

OK, so you can see I didn't copy STRAIGHT from her card. I was struck with how elegant the stamp set and the embossing folder looked together!

Card stock: Whisper White, Pear Pizazz N, Concord Crush N

Stamp set: Because I Care (level 1 hostess-only stamp set!)

Ink: Concord Crush N, Pear Pizazz N

Accessories: Big Shot, Elegant Lines embossing folder, Basic Rhinestones, 5/8" organza ribbon, medium oval punch, scallop oval punch, dimensionals

I'd love to hear what you think of this one. :) And if you've used any of the designs or layouts recently for inspiration, I'd LOVE to see what you've come up with!

OK, I'm outta here. We're canning again today! Have a wonderful weekend, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!

Thursday, August 19, 2010

:D So glad you liked it!

Thank you for the wonderful comments on yesterday's card. I haven't touched an ink pad since I got home. ROFL!!! I sure do LOVE my Big Shot; it makes things SO easy.

Today's is totally for you, too! All done with my Big Shot. :)

Card stock: Textured Chocolate Chip 12x12, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White, Crumb Cake kinda N

Accessories: Big Shot, Build-a-Bear die, BAB Kooky Spooky Die, Fancy Favors Die, Timeless Type Alpha Dies, 1" circle punch, dimensionals, 2-way glue pen, Sticky Strip

That's all there is to it! To make sure the bear's eyes, nose, and mouth are black, simply punch a 1" circle from Basic Black - not a bigger one, or it will go over the edge of his face, nor a smaller one, because it won't cover the whole thing. Then just use your 2-way glue pen to fasten it to the back of the bear's face!

OK, I'm outta here. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!

The EXTRA HOSTESS BENEFITS special is only good until the end of the month! You can click on the EXTRA! EXTRA! in the sidebar, and it will tell you the details. Call or email me today to get your party on the books!! And please, take the time to stamp - or papercraft!!! :D - something today!!

Showing off some new toys!

Hi, y'all! I know that many of my customers have now received their Holiday Minis, so I'm ready to show some sneak peeks with some new toys. :D

Isn't it FUN?!?!? :D The embossing folder and the snowflake die are both new in the Holiday Mini. And I DO love my snowflakes! :D

The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Tempting Turquoise, and Whisper White.

I know it's hard to see, but there is Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the Whisper White snowflake. :) We are going to be having FUN with snowflakes this winter, I guarantee! :D

OK, I'm off! I hope you're having a WONDERFUL day! Be sure, now, to take the time to STAMP something! :)

Simply Scrappin' Kits

Good afternoon! How are you doing today? Have you been stamping lately? :D

You know, I rarely purchase Simply Scrappin' (SS) kits. I get them if I have a plan for a class - like the paper bag album class on Saturday. But I keep forgetting what an incredible value they are!

You get two sheets of four different colors of card stock. You get three sheets each of two different two-sided designer series papers. And you get two sheets of three different self-adhesive die cuts. That's a LOT of material to use! For the class on Saturday, each person gets a half a package. And that will mean lots to take home - I still have about a third of my die cuts, two sheets of DSP, and some good chunks of the card stocks!

So, I decided to show you today what I made with just a few of my leftovers! :)

Don't you just love the colors? This is the Christmas-themed SS kit; it came with Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla, and Marina Mist. Not a single stamp on here. Just lots of fun die cuts - and this is a 6x6 scrapbook page.

OK, I'm off! :) I'll be back tomorrow with another sample. I hope you're having a great week - why is it so hard to get back to work after a trip?!?! :D

Have a wonderful day! Take the time to STAMP - or SCRAP - something! :D

It was a beautiful trip!

We had a GREAT time when we got to play, and we worked HARD when we were working. :D I HIGHLY recommend the Huntsville Botanical Garden - it was BEAUTIFUL! Such an interesting, beautiful place! HOT, though. I still prefer my Pacific Northwest beaches. :D

This picture, of course, isn't from there. :D This is Fort Walton Beach, at the top of the stairs down to the beach from our hotel. I got to spend about 5 minutes there, taking pictures and videoing the water with my FLIP before a rainstorm chased me off and we had to leave for home.

I got some new toys today, and I'll be playing with them for future classes. :D Stay tuned - tomorrow will be another great post. :) Enjoy the photo today - and be sure to take the time to STAMP something! :)

Wedding Card

Hi, everyone! TGIF, right? Well, about now we're on our last leg to the beach - and it's HOT down there. :D But this is a cool card, so enjoy. :D

Let's see. The ONLY card stock I used was Whisper White; the ONLY ink was Marina Mist. I don't know if you can tell, but the edge of the ribbon is Marina Mist; I did that with a Stampin' Write marker. It's VERY clean, and IMHO, very elegant. :D

Of course, the Big Shot (I♥MyBigShot!) came in really handy, with cutting all the scallop circles I needed AND embossing the pocket and half the front scallop AND the card scallop! (You'll see the inside if you scroll down a bit!) The embossing folder is Antique Wallpaper.

To make sure your inside pocket is correct, insert the piece before you cut the card itself. That way, you'll have the flat place at the fold AND all the scallops in the correct position.

The front greeting is from TEENY TINY WISHES, and I used the modern label punch for it. The one inside is from Occasional Quotes, the level 3 hostess-only set. (I love that set, too!) I used the curly label punch for our signature. :)

OK, I'm off! Have a WONDERFUL weekend, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!!!

Christmas is only 134 days away!

GOODNESS, but it's coming quickly!!! :) Once again, I'm playing with the Elegant Lines embossing folder. It makes SUCH an easy, elegant card!

Yes, the color is a little ODD. I couldn't get it to work, no matter what!!! Colors are Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, and Early Espresso.

This time, I used the pearls we're now carrying - I LOVE them! SO easy to use! I did use some of my shimmer paint spray, but only on the large oval "Christmas Greetings", not on the whole card. It's simple, and elegant, and not your traditional card! :D

OK, I'm off. I'm sitting in the car on my way to Florida, so you know I took extra time to get this ready for you. :D Tomorrow's post will be the gift card holder/card I created for my cousin.

Take the time to STAMP something, will ya?!? :D

Inspiration struck!

Monday evening, while we were making embellishments, I was trimming down the card stock scraps after we'd punched them - and saw something in the negative space that made me want to play. SO, here's the result!

Isn't it fun?!? :D The pumpkin is a Sizzlit, the back is the small scallp punch (I used it because I already had it punched out!); the hat is from the Halloween Build-a-Bear die, and the face is the OWL punch! I punched out the horns and part of the head, and curved it around to make the mouth; I used just the big and tiny eye pieces. I think it's ADORABLE; my mom wants me to make some to stick in a gourd for Halloween. :D

Let inspiration strike YOU, too! Or leave me a note - I'm lonely, and I'd like to look at my email while I'm on the road this week and see what you have to say! :D

Have a WONDERFUL day! Take the time to STAMP something!

Embellishments everywhere!

You missed a fun class last night! I didn't post yesterday, so here's a peek at the embellishments we made last night. :)

First, a few flowers - using both sizes of scallop circle punches....

Aren't they fun?!? Peel one or two off, and stick them on a card - presto!

Next, some words - again, makes a SUPER-fast card!
These use the designer label punch, 1" circle punch, and modern label punch. The sayings are all from TEENY TINY WISHES.

And now, my favorites: owls. :D
Aren't they FUN? All the bodies and eyes are punched from four colors: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Whisper White. The hearts are Real Red; the vests are from scraps of DSP of various kinds. I LOVE this new punch - it's so fun to use! :D

OK, I'm outta here; we're leaving Thursday to go to Florida to shoot my cousin's wedding. Lots to do, including TRYING to get posts ready for you. :) Have a wonderful day! Be sure and take the time to STAMP something!

It's FRIDAY!

And today, I've created yet another card just for you! :D

First, though, let me share! Most of you know that Kenn and I are headed to the Pacific Northwest for two short weeks in September. I'm SO looking forward to it - and I truly feel I need a REAL break. SO, I'm giving YOU something to look forward to, as well: I'll be having several guest bloggers! You're in for a real treat - and if I get more people than I need for that two weeks, I'll use them for the days before and after, so I can pack and unpack and not ignore you! :D Be sure and give them lots of blog love, so they know they're appreciated. :D

OK. On to my share!

Card stock: Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise

Ink: Tempting Turquoise

Stamp set: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Occasional Quotes (level 3 hostess-only stamp set) N

Accessories: Big Shot, Elegant Lines Embossing Folder (Thanks for letting me borrow it, Mary! :D) N, Basic Rhinestones N, Frost White Shimmer Paint, rubbing alcohol, spray bottle, modern label punch, dimensionals

SO super-simple, not a lot of stamping, but way sparkly and shimmery and elegant, with a very interesting color combo! :)

OK, I'm OFF. Fun, busy weekend planned. :) I hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend, and that you'll take the time to STAMP something!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Amy!

Tomorrow is my friend, Amy's birthday. She and I met for lunch today, and had a wonderful time catching up and finding out what we each needed prayer for. Here is the card I made for her; I got the tutorial from Sandi MacIver, a fantastic, incredibly-talented demonstrator in Washington. Be SURE to check her out - she's got fantastic ideas, I'm telling you!

Anyway. There are four photos, so here's the scoop: Certainly Celery and Whisper White, and ask me if you can't tell what I used! :D

This one's color is wierd!!!

OK, I'm off! It's been a busy day, and I need to get some more work done before getting ready for a busy day tomorrow. :) Be SURE and take the time to STAMP something!!!

Wednesday, August 4, 2010

Well, I swore I shared this one!

But it doesn't look like I did! Yea! :D

Again, I made this one just for the Inspiration Station!

Card stock: Soft Suede

Ink: Early Espresso N

Stamp sets: Inspired By Nature, Nature's Silhouette

Accessories: Wood Sheets Textured Cuts, oval & scallop frame die, Big Shot, paper piercer, gold brads, dimensionals

It's a great masculine card, don't you think? I think it's beautiful, personally... :D

Let me know what you think of it! Have a WONDERFUL evening, and be sure to take the time to STAMP something!

A Christmas card! :)

OK, so I know I'm late, but it's been one of THOSE days. This is a card I made just for the Inspiration Station! :)

The color's a little off on the background card stock; it's actually Cherry Cobbler, but looks like Cajun Craze in this pic.
Other card stocks are Crumb Cake and Night of Navy. Stamp sets: Occasional Quotes (level 3 hostess-only set!) N, Lovely as a Tree
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, Garden Green, Whisper White craft
Accessories: Stipple brush, white embossing powder, Texture Cuts Wood Sheets, oval & frame die, Big Shot, dimensionals

I really like this card; it's very old-world feeling IRL. :)

OK, I'm off to decide what to show you tomorrow. :) Have a wonderful evening, and be sure to take the time to STAMP something! :)

Christmas in July!

Hi, y'all! Sorry about Friday - time just got away from me. :) But today, I'm going to SHOW you all four projects from our Christmas in July Stamp Camp. I'm not going to TELL you about them, because if you wanna know about classes, you should COME to class. :D But you'll love the projects!

First, this is a cork square, perfect for a gift for some special person.

Next, have a gander at the mini milk cartons all decked out for Christmas greetings!

Then, there's Dasher, glowing with shimmer - a really fun, easy card to do, inspired by one that I saw in a photo from SU! Convention 2010.

Finally, my favorite project: a candle. This one isn't like our normal ones, where we stamp on tissue. Instead, this one is a stamped card stock image, framed with lace and attached to the candle via more lace - and this is one of the new ones in the Idea Book, SO great to work with! And there are two more new products on here, rhinestones and pearls. Be sure to look at the larger picture for more detail!

OK! I'm off to work on more great projects for the next three months - we start kicking Christmas into high gear in September, with our first Christmas Card Class Trio meeting!

Have a wonderful day - and try to think CHRISTMAS; it's SO much cooler in December. :D Now, then. Go take the time and STAMP something! :)
