Fun With Punches, Take Two - Merry & Bright

It's FRIDAY!! I'm HOME! I bet you didn't even miss me... :D

So today's card is a little hard to tell the colors - I couldn't get them to "read" quite right. It's Smoky Slate and Night of Navy. That's gold spritz on the background; the stars are punched out of gold foil "paper" and popped with dimensionals. "Merry & bright" is embossed with silver embossing powder, to give it a nice change of pace.

I think it's a simple, kind of elegant card - my mom "ooooh"ed when she saw it. :D It was fun to make, too. :)

OK, that wraps up another week here at Lori's Stamping Spot! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Stamp away! :D

Fun With Punches - I Love You!

Welcome to Wednesday! Are you having a good week? I'm still gone. :D I love fall, and I LOVE getting away!!!

The rest of the week, I'm going to post projects that I've used punches on, AND this set, GOOD GREETINGS. It's available until the END OF OCTOBER when you host a $300 party - it's an EXTRA HOSTESS EXCLUSIVE BENEFIT! :) It's a lot of fun - I really like the cute font, and the sayings are all different, kind of like TEENY TINY WISHES, but bigger. :)

For this one, I used Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, and Melon Mambo, 1" scallop circle punch and modern label punch, and Versamark and Tangerine Tango embossing powder. Don't forget the dimensionals! :D I think it's a fun, cute card, bright and eye-catching, and easy to switch colors on and still have it be fun!

OK, I'm gone. :D Have a wonderful day - and be sure to make the time to STAMP something!

MDS Monday - Celebrating Kenn

Happy Monday! Did you enjoy your weekend? Kenn and I are off on a little break; we'll be back at the end of the week. :)

ANYWAY. I wanted to share this project with you; Kenn's birthday was last week, and we had a get-together with friends who could join us that night. It was a small-ish crowd, but we had a good time, and Kenn's always blessed by being loved on. :D

I know the bottom bows are a LITTLE girlie, but I liked the texture the burlap gave it. :D

OK, I'm outta here! Have a wonderful day! Go try MY DIGITAL STUDIO, will ya?!?! It's a BLAST!

Christmas Tree Gift Tag

Happy Friday!!!! I hope you've had a wonderful week, and have big plans for the weekend! We do - we leave tomorrow to spend a few days in Indiana! Rest, relaxation, harvest time, and being away from the computer for a while. I can't WAIT! :D

This is a bit difficult to see, but this tag is made on our Silver foil paper. We stamped the tree in Always Artichoke, then embossed with clear embossing powder.  Because the Blendabilities are alcohol-based, we can color accessories and it won't rub off! So we colored pearls to use as ornaments. :) We put on a tree skirt with one, too. :D That's the main Cherry Cobbler marker, in case anyone was wondering.

Don't you love that tag punch? That's the Scalloped Punch Tag Topper. It made it SO easy!

OK, y'all, I'm OUTTA here. :D I hope you have a WONDERFUL day, and even better weekend. :D Make sure to take the time to stamp SOMEthing!

Lobster Card

Welcome to Wednesday! I thought I'd show you the rest of my hostess club projects from last month. :D

The background is plastic wrap - I really do enjoy doing monochromatic cards! - inked in Marina Mist and pounced onto Marina Mist. :)

We stamped and embossed the lobster with Whisper White, then tore him out and put him on a piece of Whisper White, which we tore out and sponged around the edges with more Marina Mist. :)

I think it's a fun, quick birthday card! It looks ice-watery, like where a cold-water lobster belongs. :D

OK, I'm outta here! Have a WONDERFUL day! Be sure and make the time to STAMP something!!!

MDS Monday - Fall 2014 Bucket List

Welcome to another Monday! :) I hope you had a great weekend!

So, y'all may remember that I did one of these last year. It was such fun to see hanging on the wall, and mentally review the list - and the memories. So, I did a new one for THIS year! :)

I had fun with this one. Do you see the graphic I used for "Take a fun fall photo together"? I took a cat stamp, and a mouse stamp, and posed them. :D I just had a good time making it - and I've already done one thing on my list. Kenn's birthday is tomorrow, and we'll be celebrating with a few friends - and we leave for Richmond, IN, on Saturday - with a stop along the way! - to fulfill some of the rest of them. :)

If you haven't tried MY DIGITAL STUDIO yet, what's stopping you? I mean, it's SO fun - I can use retired stuff, play with colors and DSP and embellishments, and not have to worry about the mess I'm making. :D All you have to do is go to mydigitalstudio.net and download the free trial version! Seriously. What do you have to lose? :)

OK, I'm outta here! Have a wonderful day - and be SURE to make the time to STAMP SOMETHING!!!

Kindness Blendabilities Card

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

So, I wanted to show you this card really quickly. The STEM of the flower is a regular Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker, but the flower itself is done with Daffodil Delight Blendabilities. I mixed up the colors a bit; that's Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry as the background. :)

So, what do you think of the Blendabilities? Have you had a chance to play with them? Do you like what I've showed you? It's NEVER too late to host a party, y'all, AND you have until the end of the month to host a $300 show and get an extra stamp set for FREE!!!!!!

OK, I'm outta here! If you have questions, please ask!!! :) Have a wonderful weekend - find time to STAMP SOMETHING!!!!!

More Blendabilities: Daffodil Delight

Welcome to WEDNESDAY! :)

So, I promised updates as we went along with my color choices for Blendabilities. As you can see, my second set is the Daffodil Delight trio.

This is ultra-enlarged, so you can see my coloring mistakes pretty easily. Please forgive me! :D The Blendabilities are really fun to work with, and  the colors are intriguing, to say the least. I think I'm going to be doing a little more coloring, just because it's so much easier to shade things now. I've never been a GREAT colorer, and having a little trouble with old-age eyes now, but I still enjoy seeing something look a little different than flat color! :)

If you come back Friday, I'll show you what we did with the hostess club get-together last month. :)

I'm OUTTA here! Have a wonderful day, and don't forget to MAKE the time to stamp SOMEthing!

MDS Monday - Clouds

Welcome to MONDAY! :) I hope you had a great weekend! Here's a quick MDS page I put together. Kenn called me on my cell when he drove in the driveway and insisted I grab my camera and go outside to shoot the sunset with him. It wasn't what I wanted to do, but I did it. :D And I have a cute scrapbook page to prove it! :D

MDS - quick, easy, and free to try! :D

OK, I'm outta here! Have a wonderful day - and be sure to make the time to stamp something!!!!
