Carols of Christmas Preview - Take 2!

Good morning! I promised I'd continue with the samples; this is one I did because I already had the stars cut from gold foil and Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I wanted to show that the Card Front Builder Thinlits could be used easily with other things - and I wanted a simple card to show off the complexity of that gold star cut. I really love how CLEAN this design is.

Card stock: Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink: Versamark
Stamp set: Star of Light
Accessories: Starlight Thinlits, Card Front Builder Thinlits, Big Shot, White embossing powder, Heat Tool, Embossing Buddy, Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper, Gold foil sheets, SNAIL, Mini Dimensionals

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!!! And make sure to take the time to stamp SOMETHING! :D

Second Project from Tuesday night!

It's FRIDAY!!!! Have you had a great week?? :) Today marks the SIX WEEKS mark until Christmas Day, people! :D It's time to start thinking of Christmas cards - and I really love this one.

This is the Gentle Peace photopolymer stamp set. Yes, I've pretty much sworn not to purchase these - but it's the best nativity set we've got this year! :) You can see it at this link. So, I embossed it with white embossing powder, then cut out a mask and covered it.

Next, we used plastic wrap and put both Perfect Plum and Whisper White ink onto the surrounding card stock, to give it that unique texture. That's IT. So simple, but I really love it - and it would work in almost any color you wanted to use!

OK, I'm outta here - the next ten days are crazier than usual for me! :D Have a WONDERFUL weekend, and be sure to make the time to stamp SOMEthing!

She Likes Me! :)

Happy Friday Morning! Sorry about flaking on you on Wednesday - by the time I realized I HADN'T posted something, it was time for me to leave for twelve hours. I just couldn't make it happen. Mea culpa.

Hey, do you remember this card I showed you last week? Well, Mary Jo chose it as one of her favorite entries! How stoked am I? :) I really enjoy Mary Jo's work - it's always beautiful! She's also a Christian, and a determined demonstrator. :D So, I had to enter again this week, of course. :D

I actually killed two birds with one stone: this is a card that we'll be doing at Monday's Christmas Quick Card Class - if anyone signs up for it! (If not, I'll be having another PJ day, thank you very much. :D )

Mary Jo's sketch had a sentiment in the bottom right corner, but since I used the tag for my sentiment, I put rhinestones on that bottom corner. It's really pretty IRL! I hope SOMEONE will sign up for the class, so I can do some more of these. :D

Go play along with her challenge! See what YOU can come up with! I'm going to go look at the other entries, now that I've designed my own. :D Have a wonderful weekend! Be sure and stamp SOMEthing!

Challenge Card!

Happy Wednesday! Are you having a good week? Mine's FLYING - busy, busy. :D

Today's share is a challenge card I did for Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Challenge. :) You can see the sketch and her team's cards at the link there.

This is a REALLY unusual color combo for me for a Christmas card, but I LOVE it. It's so elegant IRL! Yes, that card base is Smoky Slate! With some Whisper White card stock for the strip and the inside. That specialty Designer Series Paper is from the Holiday Mini, Winter Frost - well, it's beautiful paper, I must tell you. (There's so much from the Holiday Mini I want! AUGH!!!! :D )

The stamp set is a carry-over from last year's Holiday Mini, called Evergreen. And the snowflakes that are stamped and embossed with Iridescent Ice are from Festive Flurry, available in a bundle!

OK, peeps, I'm outta here. :) Still lots to do today! I hope you have a wonderful day, and make SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!! :)

Welcome to Wednesday! :)

This is the third project we did at the Hostess Club; I try to do two cards and a 3D project. When the girls saw this one, I even HEARD one of them say it was too complicated.

HA! Did I prove them wrong! :D

Stampin' Up!'s new card thinlits - go here to see them in action! - make this SO stinking easy. All of us at the party remember having to measure, score, cut - well, no more. The thinlits do it ALL!! All you have to do is fold and decorate. SO fun.

And I LOVE the fact that they've brought back the Encore gold and silver ink pads. Embossing with them gives a whole new richness to it!

OK, I'm outta here. :) If all went as expected, we're getting home today. :) So go stamp something! :D

Merry Christmas!

Happy Friday!!! Have you got big plans for the weekend? I do! I have a show tonight and tomorrow night - if you want tickets for this or next weekend, get them NOW - last week's crowds were big, and I think it'll be bigger!! Oh, and a Stampin' Up! party Saturday morning - I so cannot wait to stamp these projects! You'll enjoy seeing them, but there's nothing like doing them together. :) If you want to place an order with our party, let me know - I'll get you the hostess ID number, and you can place it online and get it shipped to your door!!

ANYWAY. :D This card looks MUCH cuter IRL. :D It's very glittery from the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details (PLEASE make sure you go through my business website to order, to make sure we all get the credit we're supposed to! :) ) And of course, the basic rhinestone on the tree. I had a great time putting together the tree from two scallop punches! I did score the lines for the Dazzling Details to lie between on my Scoring Tool. Super easy, super cute - it's 4" square!

OK, I'm outta here! Time to get busy! Have a WONDERFUL weekend! Be sure and make the time to stamp SOMETHING!!! :)

Christmas Stamp Camp, take 3! :D

Good Monday Morning! Goodness, it's been BUSY around here - more and more to do as the open house and my departure draw near! PHEW. :D

Today you're seeing the card and envelope we made; the card is a custom size, to fit the word - so the envelope had to be, too. It didn't take me too much time to figure it out at all, with the Simply Scored; I started off with an idea of what I needed to do from a measurement template, and tweaked it to perfectly fit out cards. :)

OK, I'm outta here!!! You won't BELIEVE how busy I am. WHEW. Say a prayer or two for me, will ya? :D Have a WONDERFUL day! Don't forget to go STAMP something!!!!

Second Hostess Club Project!

Hey, y'all! A really quick post today - AUGH!!!!!!! Time FLIES!!!!!!!! :D Are you planning to come to my open house on the 2nd?

Anyway. :D You probably recognize most of this card - it's the one I won the contest with from Chattanooga Regionals, just done in Cherry Cobbler instead of Midnight Muse.

I really do love the COME TO BETHLEHEM set! I know you see it a lot from me, but it's so easy to make a great card with it! :)

As always, if you have any questions, zip 'em to me! :D I'm off to get into another project - now, YOU go stamp something! :D

Another Sketch Challenge Card!

Good Monday Morning!

Gravy, has my weekend been SLAMMED with stuff. And I'm coughing, STILL, and UGH. :D

Anyway. Today's share is a card that I did for a SUDSOL challenge; it was a sketch, and this is what I came up with.

Card stock: Pacific Point, Whisper White

Ink: Pacific Point, VersaMark

Stamp sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Chock Full-O Cheer

Accessories: Silver glimmer paper, 1-3/8" square punch, 1-3/4" circle punch, 2;1/2" scallop circle punch, white embossing powder, clear embossing powder, heat tool, Smoosh Spritz, basic rhinestones, Dimensionals

If you have ANY questions on how or what I did, please don't hesitate to ask! And YES, Ginny, that lovely Silver Glimmer Paper *is* a Stampin' Up! product. :D It's VERY sparkly!!

Have a WONDERFUL day! Be sure and make the time to STAMP something!!

SUDSOL Sketch Challenge Entry

Good FRIDAY Morning! Have you had a good week? I got notified today that the things I ordered for my prize are on their way here. I'm so excited! LOL!

Today, I'm showing off the card I made to meet the sketch challenge with SUDSOL this week. I really, really like it!

Now, I will tell you this: the red glitter paper scallop isn't securely stuck down. I'm out of Tombow Multi, so until I get it, there's not a lot that will make it stay down. But I really like this card!

Here's the "recipe" - if you have ANY questions about what I used, or what I did, please let me know!

Card stock: Whisper White, Real Red, Early Espresso, Silver Glitter Paper, Red Glitter Paper

Stamp sets: Lovely as a Tree, Come to Bethlehem

Ink: Whisper White craft, Always Artichoke

Accessories: Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker, 3/4" circle punch, white embossing powder, Embossing Buddy, heat tool, Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details, Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details, Snail, Dimensionals

The card's on an easel, and it's at my eye level, so the top of the card is slanting away - that's why it seems a bit fuzzy in focus. :)

OK, I'm OUTTA here! It's going to be a busy, wonderful weekend here - hope it is for you, too!!! And don't forget to make the time to stamp SOMEthing!

Christmas is Coming!

Happy Monday! :) Did you have a good weekend? Did you STAMP anything? :D

Hey! Did you know I have two other blogs? You can find them in the blog list on the right side of this page. :)

Well, it's getting to that time: decide on your card design, and start in on them! :D Some of you make lots of different ones, I know; some of us make one - and make a silly amount of them. :D No matter how many times I count, I always, ALWAYS have to pull out my supplies at least twice more. And then I usually still need more, but refuse to pull it all out again. :D

I really like this one. I was trying to do something else, which turned out to be a complete DISASTER, and then decided to play with this one. :D Not too bad, right??? (Please agree...! :D )

Here's the "recipe"!

Card stock: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Brushed Gold

Stamp set: Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: VersaMark

Accessories: designer label punch, Antique Wallpaper embossing folder, Northern Flurry embossing folder, Big Shot, Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details, Cherry Cobbler embossing powder, modern label punch, heat tool, MY DIGITAL STUDIO 2 (WISHES & GREETINGS, CHRISTMAS LODGE)

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me! :) Have a WONDERFUL day! Be SURE to make the time to stamp SOMEthing!

Scraps!

Good morning! I hope you're having a great week.

It's definitely been an interesting, exhausting, emotional one here. I'd like you to meet our family's newest addition, my niece, Naomi. :) Isn't she beautiful?!?!

OK, now back to work. :D

I made this card with things I'd already punched or cut; the only thing that wasn't done was the "Merry Christmas" modern label. But that was simple enough to put together! :D

The gingerbread are stamped and embossed, and cut with the Big Shot! (Hey, I haven't done this one in a LONG time! Ready?!? :D I ♥ My Big Shot! SOMEONE, make me a bumper sticker! :D)

Colors are Early Espresso, Winter White, Cherry Cobbler, and Gumball Green. :D

If you have any specific questions, LMK. :D

I'm outta here. Have a WONDERFUL day, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!

SUDSOL Challenge Card

Good Monday morning! How was your weekend? I'm on my way to a doctor's appointment; UGH. I hope you enjoy today's post - someone ought to enjoy SOMEthing. :D

The challenge was a layout; the pieces that are curved were, in the sketch, straight rectangles. You know me; I can't make anything without tweaking it a *little* bit. :D

The stamp set is a new one for me, EASY EVENTS. I like this stamp, and it wasn't the original one I was going to use, but when I got out my DSP, it just had to be the Christmas card. :D

So, here we go with the ingredients! :)

Card stock: Very Vanilla, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler

Ink: Early Espresso

Stamp sets: Easy Events, Sounding Joy (retired)

Accessories: Gumball Green Stampin' Write Marker, White Gel Pen, Labels Collection Framelits, Be of Good Cheer DSP, Big Shot, Dimensionals, Snail

Isn't it simple and pretty? When I get the More Merry Messages set, I can use one of those inside. I'm afraid the retirement of last year's sets wiped me out! :D

OK, I'm outta here! Have a WONDERFUL day, let me know what you think - and Mary, THANK YOU for being SO encouraging! It's so nice to know you're out there! :) Be sure and make the time to STAMP something!!!

Retiring Sets - they're almost gone!

It's FRIDAY! :) Are you excited??

Well, I have bad news and good news. The bad news is that there are lots of stamp sets leaving the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog forever. The good news is you can still order stamps until next Thursday!

And even better news? FRIDAY IS THE NEW IDEA BOOK & CATALOG RELEASE! It's also my annual Open House, and I'm having a HUGE craft rummage sale! PLEASE come take some of this stuff off my hands! :D

Today starts my farewell to some of my favorite stamps. These are all from my Quick Card Class last week.

This is Dasher, and also MANY MERRY MESSAGES. Pear Pizzazz, the base card color, is also going away - at least until SU! does their next color shake-up. Then, who knows?!? :)

Enjoy your long weekend! Make sure you take the time to STAMP SOMETHING! :)

Baby, it's cold INSIDE!

Woke up this morning and went down to the studio - and the heater's BROKEN! Hopefully they'll be able to fix it this afternoon - but was it COLD. :D

So. Sunday was the open house, and boy! was it FUN!!! We had LOTS of people here; if you didn't make it, you sure missed out. I was so glad to see a few of you who haven't been able to be around much the past year. I hope, if you weren't able to come this year, you'll come next!

Here's a quick share - I'm working for someone else right now, so I have to be able to answer the phone any time - that we did at our hostess party last month. (I really love how it turned out!)

Isn't it pretty? I really love the Holly Berry DSP - you can still order it, but only for a few more weeks! The same with the stamp set, THE SOUNDING JOY. The world that I punched out? It's from WORD PLAY - and I've really enjoyed using it this way! :) Isn't the ribbon pretty, too? It just is all very simple, but it all came together beautifully. In *my* humble opinion, anyway.... :D

OK, I'm outta here so I can be ready to say, "Hello!" :D I'm going to TRY to get caught up with the 10 Weeks emails this weekend. I know what I want to do, but time and cameras just don't coordinate!

I'd love to hear from you. I'm kinda lonely. :D

Have a WONDERFUL day! Be sure and take the time to STAMP something!!!

How are you doing??

It's a cloudy day here, but a perfect day to continue getting ready for the Christmas Open House! If you haven't gotten details, and want to come, email me at Poohisstampin@aol.com! Or leave a comment and LMK you want info! :)

Anyway. :D We FINALLY get down to the card that started the colorblock craze for me. :D

Isn't it pretty??? I really fell in love with this one. :)

Card stock: Elegant Eggplant, Baroque Burgundy, Perfect Plum, Wistful Wisteria, Whisper White

Ink: Whisper White craft ink

Stamp sets: Many Merry Messages, Delightful Decorations

Accessories: Corner rounder punch, ornament punch, white embossing powder, heat tool, dimensionals, SNAIL

Ta da! Isn't that easy??? I really love the color combination, and the cleanness of the layout. So fun to do, too! :)

OK, I'm outta here. Miles to go, every day. :D Have a WONDERFUL day, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!

Phew! TGIF! :)

Phew! This week has been full of on-again, off-again, slow-busy, calm-crazy moments! Tired? Why, yes I am! :D

This is a card from our FANCY FOLDS class last month; I really like this card! I'm going to show it to you in two different colors, so be sure to look at both. :D

Card stock: Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White (second card, Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White)

Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Versamark

Stamp sets: Tags Til Christmas, Many Merry Messages, Delightful Decorations

Accessories: Ornament punch, Crumb Cake Stampin' Write marker (On second card, Sahara Sand). Wild Wasabi (Silver) embossing powder, heat tool, embossing buddy, Whisper White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon (Whisper White Satin Ribbon on the second card!)

So, what do you think??? Do you like them?

When we did them in class, I had converted from centimeters, and we called it the disaster card. :D I got it fixed, however, and sent out the correct scoring measurements. :D

OK. I'm off! I get to meet up with a new group of stamping friends tomorrow in Smyrna; I'm really hoping they have a good time. We're doing three fun projects! If you'd like to be a hostess - and it's not difficult, you can do it here at my house, and you can earn LOTS of free stuff (my last hostess earned $50 worth!!!!!!) - contact me!! I've got more free time than I thought now! :D

Have a WONDERFUL weekend! Be sure and take the time to STAMP something - I will! :D

Christmas and Scrapping!

Hi, everyone! I hope you had a great weekend - does anyone else have the problem that your weekends are so packed, you're not rested??? UGH! :D

Anyway. This is a 6x6 card from our CHRISTMAS IN JULY class; you could easily put a family photo on the front, or simply leave it blank for simplicity's sake.

The bottom photo is the inside; the greeting is right where someone could put a photo from their Christmas celebration! To use as a 2-page 6x6 layout, they'd simply cut down the fold. Voila!

Colors are Sahara Sand Cherry Cobbler, and Early Espresso.

OK, time to get busy again! :) I hope you're having a WONDERFUL day - and be sure to take the time to STAMP something!!!!
