It's the weekend! :D Are you excited? Do you have big plans? Or are you glad to finally be able to REST?
Today, I want to share a wedding card I made that was inspired by this card. It's not EXACTLY the same, but enough so that I want to give credit where credit is due! (I love Pinterest! :D )
I think my MOM must be influencing me this week! :D Every project I've shown has had yellow, and the one I still have in my mind is yellow, too. :D I sure hope she's enjoying it! :D
So, those are two of the Heart Framelits; I had completely forgotten I had them until just before Valentine's Day. I know, it's a sin. I love hearts! That's the perfect polka dots folder - and I did use my Boutique to do the embossing. That flower is the rounder of the small flowers on the Boho Blossom punch; the leaves are the pointer one, cut into fourths. :D The modern label punch is from TEENY TINY WISHES. The inside has two stamps from ABOVE & BEYOND. I didn't have the correct color brads to do the centers, and I didn't really want to add bulk to the flowers, so I used my Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker. :)
The colors are Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, and Daffodil Delight.
OK, I'm outta here! :D Have a WONDERFUL weekend, and be sure to make the time to stamp something.

Been a rough couple of weeks!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week. Today's is warm and sunny here; I think, once I get done blogging, I'm going to go sit on the swing for a little bit! :) Don't hate me, people with snow on the ground. At least you GOT snow! :)
It's been a rough couple of weeks for people all around me. I'm on the TN Stampers online group, and we lost a dear member early last week; her daughter is also on the list. This is the card I'm going to send her. This week, a member of our church was killed suddenly in a car accident. Yesterday, a dear online friend lost her husband to cancer. Ginny, please know we're praying for you. Wish I could give you a real-life hug.
I was inspired by this card; I found it on Pinterest, but it was originally posted on Split Coast Stampers.I really love the original, but I didn't want to add too much color. So I did my version.
I double-stamped the flower from BACKYARD BASICS; the second time I stamped, I off-stamped metallic gold ink, then stamped that second generation onto the card. I used clear embossing powder to give it a little more texture. The inside is stamped with two of the stamps from BLESSINGS FROM HEAVEN. The colors on this one are Very Vanilla, So Saffron, and Always Artichoke. The other ink color is Early Espresso.
OK, I'm outta here! :) I hope your week is wonderful. Be sure and tell people you love that you love them - and stamp them a card to show it. :D

Sympathy
Happy Wednesday!! Are you staying safe and warm?? I really hope that you are. What a mess the deep South is in - hoping they're starting to thaw out and sort everything out now.
Today's share is a card we did Monday night with our hostess club. Not everyone chose to put the "with sympathy" from TEENY TINY WISHES or the verse inside, because they wanted to use it for another purpose. But that's OK! :)
The flower is from FABULOUS FLORETS, and the designer paper is Modern Medley. The cuts are with the Labels Framelits. I'm really happy with the way this card turned out! :)
OK, I'm outta here. :) Have a wonderful day, and be sure to take the time to stamp something!

Yet another challenge card :D
Happy Friday!!! Are you glad it's here - or are you so busy anymore, the weekends go by in a blur? :)
Today's share is yet another challenge card, from last week when I was making all SORTS of cards. :D
The challenge was to take ONE color plus either Whisper White or Very Vanilla and do a complete fall card with it. So this is what I came up with!
Pumpkin Pie.One of my favorite fall colors. Paired that with the woodgrain embossing folder, which I applied ink to once I'd embossed it, the labels collection framelits, GENTLY FALLING - stamped and cut out, then mounted with dimensionals. To finish it all off, I used "Happy Thanksgiving" from TEENY TINY WISHES , embossed it with white embossing powder, and punched it out with the modern label punch. I really, really love this card. If you used two colors plus the Whisper White, it would be difficult to count the combos that would look great! :D
OK! I'm outta here! I hope you enjoy your weekend, whatever you do - and be sure to make the time to stamp something!

Another Amy Card!
Happy FRIDAY - the first in August!! Seriously. How did the year get to this point so fast?!??! I feel like the world is spinning, dragging me along! LOL!!!
Today's card is an Amy share - and I really like this one a lot! It's caught some attention in the Stamping Spot, too! :)
Isn't it great?!?! She used the stamp set, THE GREAT OUTDOORS, and TEENY TINY WISHES. I think she used Cajun Craze and Garden Green card stock, and assorted inks and Stampin' Write Markers. She distressed the two layers, too, which really adds to the rustic feel of the card.
I really love the way she cut out the images - I can't cut straight borders to save my life! :D
Oh, and the links to the stamp sets are for the wood-mount; be sure and check if you want the clear-mount instead! :)
OK, I'm outta here. It's been a really busy week, and we have another busy weekend coming up. :) Enjoy your time with friends and family - and be sure to make the time to stamp SOMETHING. With someone would be best! :D

Happy Birthday, A!! :)
It's Wednesday again! :) I hope your week is going well. Wow, can you believe we're this close to the end of the month already?
I told you that February was a big birthday month in my sister's family; this is for my niece, A - her big passion lately has been sewing. I've seen her do needlework; for a while, cooking was her passion. She's definitely a homebody, and loves taking care of people. So, I made this sweet card for her.
I was inspired by another card I saw that used an embossing folder that kind of looked like Aida cloth. So, I HAND-SCORED this whole thing with my Simply Scored. How's that for love?! :D
Then, I took my paper piercer and mat ad made the holes for the "needle" in the corners; every single diagonal was done with a ruler and a Rose Red Stampin' Write Marker!
The flowers are from FABULOUS FLORETS; by this time, you probably know by heart the stamp set the "happy birthday" is from. :D Yup, TEENY TINY WISHES. :)
I stamped off with Rose Red for the flowers before I stamped them on Very Vanilla; after I assembled the whole card, I put Dazzling Details in the center of them for a little shimmer and shine. I mean, most girls love a little bling, right? :D That is matted on Rose Red card stock. :)
It's all on a Pretty in Pink card base.
PHEW. :D
OK, I'm outta here! Have a WONDERFUL day! Go stamp something, will ya?!? :D

:) Another Challenge Card!
Happy Wednesday! :D The week's half over! Bet you're rejoicing... :D
Today I have another challenge card to share with you. Of course, I can't share the original with you - but it was to be a CASE - copy and steal everything - but I don't have the Pool Party Core'dinations paper or the Hearts a Flutter bundle, so I changed it up a bit. :)
Mine uses Real Red card stock and Real Red Core'dinations card stock; I used the honeycomb embossing folder on the Core'dinations, then used the new sanding block - which is pretty cool! - to expose the interior core a bit.
I created the banner with Cherry Cobbler baker's twine, and the two side banners are made with Summer Smooches DSP and punches. I made the heart with the Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and the third-smallest heart from the Hearts Collection Framelits. Everything is attached with Dimensionals except my bow. :) The "happy birthday" is from TEENY TINY WISHES, and punched from Whisper White card stock with the word window punch. It's stamped in Real Red, of course! :D
So, what do you think? Do you like it? It really pops in Real Red, versus the original in Pool Party. I think it would really depend on the recipient's personality.... :D
OK, I'm outta here! Have a WONDERFUL day! Be sure to take the time to stamp SOMEthing! :D

Commissioned Valentine's Card!
ANYWAY. A college student asked me to make a card for his girlfriend using their school colors. And he must have told me three times that "she really likes cheer bows" - she's an all-state TX cheerleader. GREAT.
I was stymied. I appealed to my group of SU! demos, and got one reply that gave me an idea of where to start. So, I went and found their college's colors, and got to work.
The colors are Whisper White, Midnight Muse, and Daffodil Delight. I used the retired heart border punch; the embossing folder I used was Petals-a-Plenty. The hearts are all cut with the Heart Framelits. I watched a couple of videos about making cheer bows, and then I used the Daffodil Delight seam binding ribbon to make one. The front greeting is from TEENY TINY WISHES, and punched from the modern label punch. The inside heart is cut out of the Whisper White card stock, then I used the "V is for Valentine" from the OCCASIONS ALPHABET set and embossed it with white embossing powder.
It's not frilly, which I think HE liked. :) But it had everything he asked for!
OK, I'm outta here. Be sure and check out my review blog, Life's Little Pleasures, for a fun treat you could easily make to put into a candy box! Have a WONDERFUL day, and make the time to STAMP something - then give it to someone. You'll both enjoy it! :D

Hello, Baby!
Good Monday Morning!
Some weeks, blogging comes naturally. Others - well, this is an "other" week. :) So bear with me - I'm not feeling too motivated, even though I've got some fun things to share.
So, this is a card I did just because I wanted to. :D I wanted to try that textured background technique; it's a double-embossed-highlighting technique.
So, to do it, first I embossed with Petals-a-Plenty onto Pink Pirouette card stock; I highlighted that by sponging a little Pretty in Pink ink on top. Then, I embossed with the Stripes embossing folder, and highlighted that with Rose Red ink (which I brayered on).
I matted that onto a piece of Rose Red card stock, and then put that onto a Whisper White card base.
Then I stamped the image from EASY EVENTS with Jet Black Stazon and punched it out with the 2-1/2" circle punch. I colored that in with Daffodil Delight, More Mustard, Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, and Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Markers, then put the image onto a Pink Pirouette scallop circle punch. I finished it off by stamping the greeting - from TEENY TINY WISHES - in the bottom right corner.
Isn't it cute?!?! There are SO MANY things to do, so MANY different techniques, that by the time I play with a few, I forget about some of my favorites. SOOOOOO many! :D
OK, I'm outta here. My studio is a freakin' MESS, and I still need to blog on my food blog. So much to do.... :D
Have a wonderful day! Be SURE to make the time to stamp SOMETHING!! :)

Thinking of You Card
Happy New Year's Eve! How are you doing? Have you had a wonderful holiday season? Making resolutions for 2013? I have some goals, but I don't like "making resolutions"; it never seems to stick when I do that. :D
ANYWAY. I'm here with a quick share; this year is going out as crazily as it came in; we were gone 12 hours on Sunday, and I'm not gonna be home much today, either. Kenn and I are opening a show with our Lebanon group, S.P.A.M. (Sunnyside Performing Arts Ministry) on Thursday. Watch for more details! So it's gonna be a GOOD but busy week. :)
Wow. Talk about rabbit trails. LOL Let me see if I can tell you about this card before it happens again!
We did this card for my sister's party in Texas. The card stock colors are Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, and Crumb Cake. We took a Crumb Cake ink pad and made the background quickly and painlessly; the "thinking of you" from TEENY TINY WISHES is stamped in Cajun Craze, and the tree is stamped with Garden Green. How easy was that?!?!?!
OK, I'm outta here. I need to design thank-you cards, desperately - so that will be happening this week. I've placed my pre-order for the new Occasions Mini, and also for Sale-a-bration!!!! Are you excited about them?!?!!? I so cannot wait to get my new toys, and there's SO much more I want! :D
Have a WONDERFUL day! Be sure and take the time to stamp SOMEthing! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Christmas tag with Hostesses!
Good Friday Morning! Have you had a WONDERFUL week? I surely hope so! There's been lots flying around here, I assure you! :D
This is a fun tag we made last Friday night. It's a brand-new stamp set, called STYLIN' SNOWFOLK. It's SO much fun to use! :) (The "Merry Christmas" is from TEENY TINY WISHES. I'm telling you, if you haven't gotten that stamp set you, you really should!!!! SO versatile!!)
Colors are Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Early Espresso, and Gumball Green. It's one of the tags from the Two Tags Die. And the snow? Allllllll covered in Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I LOVE THAT STUFF! And this uses the Big Shot, too, and we all know....
I ♥ My Big Shot!

Isn't it time for there to be HAPPY happenings?
I know you're getting tired of seeing them, but my need for sympathy cards continues. I liked that color combo so much last week, I decided to go there again. And I already had the woodgrain embossed piece. I used More Mustard on the leaves on the tree; some of it's more intense than the rest, which gives it that great varied look. I'm so glad Stampin' Up!®'s not gotten rid of LOVELY AS A TREE; it's a perfect set for sympathy cards.
If you have any questions about this card, please ask me! :)
Have a wonderful day! Be sure to stamp SOMETHING! (And send it to me! I need happy mail! LOL!)

Fun with embossing folders, day 1!
Good Wednesday morning! How is your week going? Are you having a good one? Done any STAMPING this week?? :D
So, I spent Tuesday afternoon designing *just* for you, my dear blog readers. I'm still recuperating from being gone last week, so it was a little touch-and-go when I started. But I came up with two cute little projects for you, one today and one Friday. I hope you'll let me know what you think! :)
Today's does use a non-Stampin' Up! die, the bare tree. I received it from a dear friend several years ago (Thanks, Becky!), and don't get a chance to use it too often. Since it's for my personal gallery, you get to see it! :D
The tree is embossed with the new Woodgrain embossing folder; it's Soft Suede card stock, and I inked the embossed ridges with Soft Suede ink. The swirls on the Night of Navy are from SCENTSATIONAL SEASON; they're stamped with Whisper White ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice EP. The owl is punched with Very Vanilla, and sponged just a bit around the edges with Soft Suede. The heart/beak is punched from Pumpkin Pie. The Googlie Eyes are so fun; I love to just shake the whole package and watch them dance! :D The moon is a 1-1/4" circle punched from Very Vanilla; I pushed it into Very Vanilla ink, and then embossed it with clear; it looks pretty realistic IRL! :D
So, what do you think? :D
I'm outta here! Lots to do today! :) Have a wonderful day, and be SURE to make time to STAMP something! :)

Twisted Easel for Friday!
Hi, everyone! Here it is, Friday again! I'm off to teach school - and I'm doing an example speech for the speech class. :) They're doing their first "official" speech on National Chocolate Day, *on* chocolate. I'm doing my speech on "A Simple Gift of Holiday Chocolate You Can Make", and showing them how to make brownie truffles - and showing them some quick packaging ideas. :D
ANYWAY. Today's share is another from an Advanced Techniques class; this one is TWISTED EASEL.

Card stock: Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade, Whisper White
Inks: Lucky Limeade, Cajun Craze,Chocolate Chip
Stamps: Inspired by Nature, Teeny Tiny Wishes (inside)
Accessories:Scallop Trim Border Punch, Modern Label Punch, water, Word Window Punch
I really like how this came out!
OK, I'm off! Have a wonderful day, enjoy your weekend - and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something. I know I'd better.... :D

Last quick card!
Hi, y'all. Last quick card, and I think it's a fun one! :)
Card stock: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso
Stamp sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Many Merry Messages (inside)
Accessories: Deck the Halls DSP, eyelet lace border punch, dimensionals
Cherry Cobbler, I think, is becoming my favorite of the new colors. It's such a RICH color!
OK, I'm outta here. Lots to do, lots to design, and lots to procrastinate about. :D Have a WONDERFUL evening, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!

Wedding Card
Hi, everyone! TGIF, right? Well, about now we're on our last leg to the beach - and it's HOT down there. :D But this is a cool card, so enjoy. :D
Let's see. The ONLY card stock I used was Whisper White; the ONLY ink was Marina Mist. I don't know if you can tell, but the edge of the ribbon is Marina Mist; I did that with a Stampin' Write marker. It's VERY clean, and IMHO, very elegant. :D
Of course, the Big Shot (I♥MyBigShot!) came in really handy, with cutting all the scallop circles I needed AND embossing the pocket and half the front scallop AND the card scallop! (You'll see the inside if you scroll down a bit!) The embossing folder is Antique Wallpaper.
To make sure your inside pocket is correct, insert the piece before you cut the card itself. That way, you'll have the flat place at the fold AND all the scallops in the correct position.
The front greeting is from TEENY TINY WISHES, and I used the modern label punch for it. The one inside is from Occasional Quotes, the level 3 hostess-only set. (I love that set, too!) I used the curly label punch for our signature. :)

It's still Monday here, so this still counts! :D
Hi, y'all! What a WEEK the last seven days have been - plus a few on the other end that were crazy, too. :D But I'm here on a Monday night to post a beautiful card for you, so I hope you'll still count it as Monday, too. :D
Isn't it beautiful? It's called STENCIL COLLAGE, and it's a technique from TECHNIQUE JUNKIES. (Tell Pat I sent ya!)
Card stock: Whisper White, Basic Gray, Basic Black
Ink: White craft, Basic Black, Jet Black Stazon
Stamp sets: Watercolor Trio, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Close as a Memory (inside)
Accessories: sponge dauber, stampin' sponge, Vintage Ornaments 1, Whisper White satin ribbon
We had SUCH a great time with these cards, ladies. This card is as striking in real life as you think it is! :)
OK, time for bed. :D Have a WONDERFUL day, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something! See you again SOON!

Rusty, just like me! :D
Hi, everyone! It's still Tuesday morning, so I'm doing well today! LOL!
Today's card is another from the last Advanced Techniques class; we had a great time, and I really enjoyed this one. It's another from Pat at TECHNIQUE JUNKIES; please be sure to tell her I sent you! :)
Card stock: Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Soft Suede
Ink: Dusty Durango, Very Vanilla, Silver Encore, Basic Brown
Stamp sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Accessories: stipple brush, full heart and modern label punches, and more I can't tell you about! :)
It's a lot of fun, and I can see lots of Western-type applications with this. I put "Happy Retirement" on the card because I thought it was funny. Get it? The card looks aged, and like it's been through a lot...?? :D
OK, I'm outta here - tonight is SCRAPBOOKING! I can't wait - it's gonna be fun! I hope YOU are taking the time to STAMP something, too....

Sneak Peek from the Summer Mini!
Well, ONE stamp, anyway.... :D
My mom absolutely loves this color - Barely Banana. It's one
of the colors that's going away with the new Idea Book, so I'm using it while it's still here! :)
Card stock: Whisper White, Barely Banana, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Stazon Jet Black; Pumpkin Pie, Cameo Coral, and Summer Sun Stampin' Write Markers
Stamp sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes, All a Flutter (SUMMER MINI!)
Accessories: Big Shot (Yup! I♥MyBigShot!) :D, Manhattan Flower folder modern label punch, dimensionals
SO super easy - you just color and layer up! - and beautiful! :)
OK, I'm off - I still have a scrapbooking class for tomorrow to prep and Mom's gonna color my hair. :D Have a WONDERFUL day - and be sure to take the time to STAMP something!!!

Technicolor Watercolor, showing off! :D
Good morning! What a beautiful day here in middle Tennessee again - it's well on its way to the 70s, being 66° at 10:37. Wow!
Today's share is a card from last week's Technicolor Watercolor class. I'll show you my FAVORITE from this class on FRIDAY, so be SURE to come back by then!

SO fun! I wish you could all have come to the class - but since you couldn't, you'll just have to OOOH and AAAAH over mine, and get a few friends together so you can have a private class! :)
Card Stocks: Whisper White, Garden Green, Not Quite Navy, Watercolor Paper
Inks: Versamark, Garden Green Craft (which needed to be re-inked, so my second card looks MUCH darker on the embossed turtle!)
Stamp sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Nature's Nest
Accessories: Earth Elements Watercolor Wonder Crayons, clear embossing powder, gold embossing powder, embossing buddy, heat tool
Ta da! That's it! :D
OK, I'm off to enjoy this beautiful day. I hope YOU have a wonderful day - with a bit of time to STAMP something! :)
