Whew, WHAT A WEEKEND!

OK, I'll confess - I'm doing this post several days in advance. We teach Friday, and I have a GIFTS FROM THE HEART class that day. Saturday, we're shooting a wedding in Murfreesboro, AND have a gallery opening at Springhouse Worship & Arts Center in Smyrna - it's a public opening, and quite the event! If you'd like to come, I can give you directions! :) Just LMK.

OK, here's the fifth item from the HOME & HEARTH class; it was definitely a favorite. :)


Ever since I saw the witch's boot going around at Halloween, I KNEW I wanted to do this one - it's an elf shoe! :) Isn't the red glitter paper AWESOME on this project?? We also used the mini jingle bells on the toes - it's SO cute! There's a box in the middle, so you can put candy in there as a gift. I just love this - I really kind of wish we had a cutesy room to decorate for Christmas. :D

Week 10 of the 12 Weeks of Christmas!

Good morning! I'm a little late with this today; I lost a day somewhere this week, and was thinking yesterday that I still had another day to work with. Imagine my chagrin when I woke up to Friday morning! :D

Another Easter Project!

Good Wednesday morning - well, it's barely still morning, but I'm counting it. :D

Aren't these ADORABLE? I got the template from Kimberley Morris's blog, HERE. Obviously, I didn't stamp ANYTHING on these cute Tic Tac boxes - they're made to hold a BIG box, but they will hold a littler one, too. :)

I used the 1-3/8" circle punch, the 1" circle punch, the small oval punch, and the Boho Blossoms punch for the bunnies. The colors are Regal Rose and Apricot Appeal; I took a 3/8" strip of Mellow Moss and cut down the "grass" with my paper snips. Once the strip was adhered around the box, I "mooshed" (Isn't that a great technical term?? :D) the grass down with my finger, so it looked like the bunny had some weight to him.

These were a lot of fun to make, and VERY easy! You could really fancy them up if you wanted!!!!

I'm really excited to announce that I'm going to be part of a Blog Hop later this month; a group of demonstrators is each taking a product from the Occasions Mini to highlight on APRIL 27. Someone will link to me, and I'll link to someone else - a circle of twenty blogs, all highlighting one product (although I'm doing a stamp set and the punch to match it!), and each link will eventually lead back to me. So you'll know when you've done the whole circle. I think it's going to be GREAT fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing the other demos' ideas!

NEW Box die!!

OK, everyone. I KNEW when I saw this in the book that I HAD to eventually have this die - we make so many party favors, etc., around here, that I just KNEW it would save us all time! Well! It's a WONDERFUL die; these are two we did the first four hours I had the die!!!!! One is a table favor we designed, a wonderful customer and I (HI, KATHY!! :D) for a baby shower she's having. We wanted to use a stamp set she already had; I already know she's going to change up the box a little, but I want to warn you that the scallop medallion on the pink set was in last year's Sale-A-Bration choices. (Want to know what's in this year's choices? Click on the top picture on the right!!!) Therefore, it's NOT available. They're ONLY available during SAB!!!!


Now, on with the show!!

This is the one I was talking about, that Kathy and I designed. Isn't it ADORABLE?!?!??!!? I wanted to make sure the stamping part was super-simple, since she's going to be making about 30 of these. :D Box card stock is Pretty in Pink. Bottom layer on the belly band is Regal Rose, and then Pink Pirouette that we put through the crimper. The scallop is stamped with Regal Rose on Pink Pirouette, then punched out with the scallop circle punch. SUPER simple, sweet, and will hold a good amount of M&Ms!! :D

This is the one I made that night for my dear friend, Cris. It was her birthday, and I gave her this filled with caramel-filled Dove hearts and a coupon for one of her favorite dishes I make when strawberry season is in! :D

The box is cut from Very Vanilla, and I rolled it with the So Swirly Jumbo Stampin' Around Wheel in Real Red. That's a stamp from CUTE & CURLY on the curly label punch, and the "with love" is from LOVE YOU MUCH, and punched with the small oval.

Trust me. This box is going to get SO MUCH USE - like I could USE my Big Shot any more than I do?!?!?!? :D And I want to hear what YOU are stamping these days!!?!?!??! (And let me know if you want your own box die, or need the Big Shot, too! :D)

Rub-On Revelation Class!

Hi, everyone! Quick projects for a beautiful Friday afternoon! :D Today's share is from Tuesday's Rub-On Revelation. It was SO much fun!!!!

We did CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS - some of the smaller letters/words didn't want to go on to some of them too well. Be SURE you clean the glass - we learned by experience. :) But they're SO fun - a new dimension for those re-inker-dyed ornaments!

We also made BOXES for them, with Stampin' Up!'s exclusive scallop envelope die. That's the holiday designer series paper from the Idea Book. The medallions are punches, but the images are all rub-ons!!! SO fast and fun!!!

2-4-6-8 Box Tutorial!

NOTE: This is another version of the box I show in the tutorial; have fun with either one!



Easy, easy!!! This box is used a LOT by many demonstrators; we use it a lot at my house! :) I thought I'd give you a tutorial on it, since it's so simple. Shot fresh this morning, I hope you enjoy it! Be sure and send me pics - or even the real thing! - of what YOU do with this one.







What you will need: Card stock, 5.5"x8.5"; scissors or paper snips; bone folder, or cutter kit scoring blade; ruler; stamps to decorate the outside of your box (I'm using So Swirly Jumbo Stampin' Around Wheel); Sticky Strip; ribbon for closing, if desired. Grid paper highly recommended!




1. Decorate card stock as desired; turn over, and line up in corner of your grid paper - so you can score without having to measure first!










2. Start scoring at 2". Do so at 4", 6", and 8", also.









I drew pencil lines, so you could see the score lines easier!












3. Now, line your ruler up so it goes across your card stock, and score all the way across at 1 inch.










4. Take your scissors, and start cutting up to that 1" score line from the bottom; these are going to make your bottom flaps for your box.












5. Cut the small tab off on the corner; it should look like this when you're done!








6. Now, angle the ends of the small tab; this scan shows you what it should look like when you're done cutting!












7. Fold on all your score lines, toward the inside.








8. Grab your Sticky Strip! Put alongside the DECORATED SIDE of the small tab, and on two flaps - either numbers 1&3, as in the photo, or the 2&4. (That would be the ones NOT done in the photo!) This will make more sense later. :D Use your bone folder to burnish the Sticky Strip down, so the protective red plastic will come up easier.




9. Fold the side attached to the small tab in, as in the photo. This will make assembly SO much easier!









10. Fold the opposite side in to meet; once joined, flatten and smooth to adhere.










Tada! You have a rectangle! :D













11. Turn upside down; fold in flaps WITHOUT Sticky Strip. Now, peel the red backing off one side at a time, and stick down on top of the un-sticky flaps.











Tada! You've got a bottom on your box! Now, flip it over!




Take your bone folder and press against the bottom, to make sure your adhesive sticks really well.







TRADITIONAL CLOSURE: You can keep your box open, like the baby one above, OR you can form a closure for it.









12. Pinch sides together, so the back and the front meet at the top.




















13. Using scissors, notch sides while holding the back and front together - this is so the notches line up when you close it again!


Now, fill the box with whatever you wish.





14. Using ribbon or hemp, wrap around your box top twice, and tie. You may add a tag, or whatever additional decoration you wish!



Now, let's see what YOU do with this simple, versatile box! :)

Last one! :D

This one was a BIG hit, let me tell you! :D It's a snack-sized M&M holder, as you can see in the photo below. Take a 4"x11" piece of card stock, and score it at 1/4", 1-1/2", 3-1/2", 4-3/4", 7-3/4", and 9". Using our wonderful WORD WINDOW PUNCH, place a slot for the candy to fit into. We punched it so it overlapped in the center, making the punched-out place about 3" wide.

Put adhesive in the 1/4" flap, and fold it all together. It becomes a box that's 1-1/4" wide.

The M&Ms should sit comfortably inside the box. We took a punched-out piece and fastened it on the front with a brad, so you can tuck the top flap behind it - but whatever type of closure works for you, do it! :) I saw some of the gum holders on other websites, and thought that this would be MUCH better for our mommies and kids. I mean, M&Ms?!? Who DOESN'T love them?!?! :D

Don't forget to stamp/wheel/decorate the outside of your box BEFORE you fold and assemble. :D We wheeled it with the SPOT ON jumbo Stampin' Around wheel and Versamark in the cartridge.

FINAL Stamp Camp Project! :)

It's a fry box with a gift card lid! Isn't it cute?? :) I printed out the box on Whisper White card stock, and we rolled it in Real Red with All About Christmas, a new Jumbo Wheel. The designer label punch worked beautifully with this stamp from the level 1 hostess set, Party Punch, done in Glorious Green on Whisper White. Then, we just punched the corners of Glorious Green and Real Red card stock with a ticket corner punch, and that was DONE. SOOOO easy!!!

I HATE WAITING!!!!

Will the new Idea Book & Catalog NEVER get here?!?!?!? I'm tired of waiting for it!! I need some new things to PLAY WITH!!!!! :)

So, while I was waiting, I thought I'd play with a new pattern I wanted to try. As far as I know, I haven't seen one on Stampin' Up!'s website like this one! I need to get a slit punch to make the opening work correctly, but I have BIG plans for this box! :) The flower is from HEARTFELT THANKS, Brocade Blue colors. It's pretty easy, and a good-sized box!

This is going to be a rough week to wait through. Not only am I waiting on the boxes of books to arrive on my doorstep, I'm also waiting for a medical procedure I have to have done Friday. It's going to be a LONG week! :)
