Mea culpa!

I'm SO sorry it's Thursday already and I'm just getting back here. I thought Tuesday was going to be an easy afternoon/evening day, but it wasn't - I plumb wore myself out! :D And yesterday, I couldn't recooperate very fast. So, here I am. And I'll post three projects, OK? :D Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday!

Tuesday

This is one of the cards from the Quick Card Class. I really like the medallion stamp - and will be very, very sad when it retires! :) The color combo is one my dear friend, Pat Huntoon from Technique Junkies, cannot get enough of - so I thought I'd do a card with it. :D

Card stock: Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White

Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White

Stamp sets: Fabulous Phrases, Medallion

Accessories: heat tool, Embossing Buddy, white embossing powder

So, what do you think? Do you like the color combo?

Wednesday

This card was from our punch art class; if you look around the Web, you'll be able to find out how to do it. I LOVE this card; the design's almost like a Celtic cross.

Card stock: Whisper White, Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder

Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush

Stamp sets: Blessings from Heaven, Awash with Flowers

Accessories: Designer Label Punch, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Big Shot, Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plates, Snail, Dimensionals

It's just PRETTY. :)

And finally:
TODAY

Today's share is a scrapbook page I did for a demonstrators-only email group challenge. Since I haven't shared any photos from our anniversary with you, I'll share one that showcases Kenn's meal. :D

Dungeoness is Kenn's favorite crab - it's from the West Coast, and is the meatiest crab there is. We were truly blessed for our anniversary this year, and dinner was FREE. God is so good to us!!

OK, there you go! Three projects, and I've GOT to tell you: not very many of you have purchased MY DIGITAL STUDIO from me. I don't have kids, but I'm having a BLAST saving our story. Even if no one else looks at my books, I have them to cherish and remind me when I need it. :) Interested? Email me, or go to my business site and click SHOP NOW to purchase it!

I'm off!!! By the way, it doesn't look like I'm going to be doing the show this fall; I couldn't get the cast together. :( But that means I won't be as wiped out as I thought! LOL! Have a wonderful day, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!

Color Card Share

Well, I was HOPING I'd posted the cards today's share (and future shares!) were done with, but I haven't; I'm hoping that my hard drive will be back next week, and then I'll show you. Those of you who came to the studio during July, August, and the first part of this month will remember the IN COLOR section, where I had the petal-like cards showing you where this year's IN COLORs fit into the color picture. Well, here's what I did with one of them - I'll be showing them off and on until they're all up. And I'm saving my favorite for last! :D

Card stock: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Peach Parfait

Ink: Versamark, Chocolate Chip

Stamp set: Day of Gratitude

Accessories: corner rounder punch, scallop square punch, 1-3/8" square punch, heat tool, embossing buddy, Tangerine Tango embossing powder, dimensionals

Yeah, I know it's a little crooked. :D Straight doesn't happen often here.... :D But isn't it a fun and EASY card? And we all have lots of scraps, right? (Please don't tell me I'm the only one with scraps coming out of my ears!!!)

OK, I'm off. I am having ONE more night of auditions, in hopes of being able to cast this show! Have a wonderful day - and be sure to take the time to STAMP something!!!

Mix and match!

Good TUESDAY morning! TONS to do today, so a short post. Oh, BTW, I had yesterday's post all ready to go - but forgot to set it up. Sorry - but it's there now! :D

Card stock: Whisper White, Always Artichoke

Ink: Rose Red, Always Artichoke, Whisper White Craft

Stamp sets: Four Frames, Day of Gratitude

Accessories: Doily Triple Layer Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper, Circle Fire Brads, Frost White Shimmer Paint, alcohol, stampin' sponge

This is so far out of my comfort zone! But I think I like it. :D What do you think? I'd love to hear!

OK, off to work some more!:) Have a WONDERFUL day, and be sure to take the time to STAMP something!!! :)

I do so LOVE glitter paper! :D

Good Monday morning! I hope you had a great weekend! We had a really busy, really fun one, and this week's going to be the same. Family and friends coming and going!! :)

If you missed it, the red glitter paper is in the new Idea Book & Catalog. It's SUCH a great way to make your card pop without much work! :D

Card stock: Whisper White, Basic Black

Ink: Real Red

Stamp sets: Fabulous Florets, Fifth Avenue Floral, Fabulous Phrases (inside)

Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Red Glitter Paper, Flower Garden Embossing Folder (inside), Dimensionals and Snail Adhesive

I really like the embossing folder for the inside of cards! t adds a lot of punch, but subtly - if that's possible. :D

OK, I'm outta here - lots to do! But please, take the time to stamp something - I am! :D

I just love new toys.... :D

I've got to tell you, the punches make it SO easy to make fun, quick projects - between them and the Big Shot, I can make a few stamp sets look like a million! :D That TEENY TINY WISHES was one of the best investments I've made; many of the people who come to my classes have purchased it, because it's SO versatile and fits in punches well! :D

I made a card very like this one for my friend, Kathy (HI, KATHY! :D) for her birthday; this is the second project we made at the NEW IB&C OPEN HOUSE.

Card stock: Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White

Stamp sets: Four Frames, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Love & Care Hostess-only set from Summer Mini

Accessories: Big Shot, Flower Garden Embossing Folder, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Large Oval Punch, heat tool, embossing buddy, white embossing powder

Kathy's favorite color is green, and this is one of her favorite color combos - but I used Certainly Celery for her card. :D

OK, I'm outta here! Enjoy your weekend, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something! :D Be BLESSED, my friends!

Batting Four for Four!

Can you believe it? :D FOUR days in a row! LOL!!! Here's some more fun NEW items!

Card stock: Whisper White, Island Indigo and Calypso Coral (Both NEW IN COLORS!)

Ink: Island Indigo, Calypso Coral

Stamp sets: Teeny Tiny Messages (I'm SO glad this one's still around!!), Four Frames, Love & Care hostess-only Summer Mini stamp set (the tiny flower)

Accessories: Clear Rhinestone Brad (center of the flower), Doily Triple Layer Punch, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Big Shot, Fancy Fan Letterpress Plate, Dimensionals, 2-Way Glue Pen, and Snail Adhesive

This was one of the first cards I made when I received the new IN COLORs; I really think the Island Indigo is going to be my favorite from this year's group, but we'll see. :D (It really does remind me of the color of the water when I was in the Bahamas in January!) Again, the punches are AWESOME - the flower is two of the #3 punches on the punch. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's a three-stage punch; you choose which one you want to punch. This is the one with the most cutouts.) Four different stamps and a letterpress plate are the only inking I did!

OK, I'm outta here. :D Have a WONDERFUL day - and be SURE to take the time to STAMP SOMETHING!!!!

Guest Blogger: Judi Sparks - using a sketch

Judi has a heart that's as big as the Montana sky! :) Be sure and visit her blog (see below), and leave us comment love!!!!!!!!! :D

I just love using all the punches and fun colors and designer papers that Stampin' Up! has to offer. However, I don't always have the time or the creative juices flowing to completely come up with a card all by myself. That is when I turn to sketches. "What is a sketch?" you ask. Well, a sketch is simply a design for a card or a scrap book page. Basically, the layout is there and all you do is come up with stamps, colors etc.

For Example: Here is a sketch that I did recently. This was the 411 sketch. I just followed this layout or sketch and made my own card using that format. Sadly, this stamp set and the designer paper just retired in the summer mini catalog but, you can still play along with a sketch by simply using whatever card stock, papers, stamps and inks you have on hand.

Until I see you again, keep on stamping and take inspiration wherever you find it!

Embellishments everywhere!

You missed a fun class last night! I didn't post yesterday, so here's a peek at the embellishments we made last night. :)

First, a few flowers - using both sizes of scallop circle punches....

Aren't they fun?!? Peel one or two off, and stick them on a card - presto!

Next, some words - again, makes a SUPER-fast card!
These use the designer label punch, 1" circle punch, and modern label punch. The sayings are all from TEENY TINY WISHES.

And now, my favorites: owls. :D
Aren't they FUN? All the bodies and eyes are punched from four colors: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Whisper White. The hearts are Real Red; the vests are from scraps of DSP of various kinds. I LOVE this new punch - it's so fun to use! :D

OK, I'm outta here; we're leaving Thursday to go to Florida to shoot my cousin's wedding. Lots to do, including TRYING to get posts ready for you. :) Have a wonderful day! Be sure and take the time to STAMP something!

Workshop Card in BRIGHTS!

I have to tell you, thinking about colors in whole new combinations is really working for me! Before, More Mustard and Old Olive were the two colors I liked least of all - but now, with them totally separated and in two different groups, I find I like them a lot more. :D

Anyway. Here's another card we did for the Hostess Club parties this month!

Isn't it CHEERY? :)

Card stock: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight N

Ink: Pumpkin Pie

Stamp sets: Medallion, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Word Play N (inside, see below)

Accessories: Designer label punch, 1" circle punch, 3/4" circle punch, word window punch, scallop edge punch, Greenhouse Gala DSP, dimensionals, ticket corner punch

And that, my friends, is that! :D And I'd LOVE to get some parties booked in August. SO, for the first FIVE people who book AND hold the party on their originally-booked date, I will give a stamp set from my stash for FREE. Let's have some fun together!!!

OK, I'm off to finish cleaning off my desk! (I know, those of you who've been here recently, that you're passing out from shock....:D) Have a WONDERFUL day, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!

Greenhouse Gala DSP!

Are you enjoying these cards? I have to tell you, working with the new colors and thinking about combinations in different ways is a lot of fun! A bit of a challenge sometimes, but fun! :D

Don't forget to vote in the FOURTH ANNUAL BIRTHDAY CARD CONTEST! I've gotten a few more votes, but the more people vote for the cards, the happier I'll be. :D

All right! On to today's show-n-tell! :D

This is some DSP, let me tell you! It's Greenhouse Gala, from the new Idea Book - and it's great for getting you into thinking about the new color combos possible!

Card stock: Baja Breeze (kinda N), Real Red, Whisper White

Ink: Early Espresso N

Stamp set: Because I Care (level 1 hostess-only stamp set N)

Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Greenhouse Gala DSP N, large oval punch, scallop oval punch

Did you go check out Amy's samples? She did SUCH an awesome job - I can't thank her enough for ALL she's done to help me out this year!! And wait until you see what she's just posted - she did some of the watercoloring pages for her son's room. WOW!

OK, I'm outta here - time to work on the class schedule for the rest of the year! I hope you'll come stamp with me soon! :) Have a WONDERFUL day - and you know, it will just be even BETTER if you take the time to STAMP something!

Hey, gang! Happy Friday! Hopefully I'll have my act together more next week. (Don't BET on it, though.... :D) WHEW. I need a vacation from life! LOL!

OK, here's the final punch art card, again thanks to Nancy Dawson at Creative Wishes. She TOTALLY rocks. :)

:D Isn't it ADORABLE? Nancy's had a lot more ink to the card, but I figured, with it being a punch art class.... :D The inside is stamped with the THINKING OF YOU from "Sincere Salutations".

Card stock: YoYo Yellow, Brilliant Blue, Whisper White, Going Gray, Basic Gray, Handsome Hunter

Ink: Going Gray, Brilliant Blue (inside)

Punch Art!!!

I LOVE using punches (and my Big Shot!!! :D ) to create works of art. Today's card is another sample from the LET'S GET PUNCHY 2! class Tuesday night. I have to thank a wonderful demonstrator, Nancy Dawson, for her great idea! Once I told her I would like to CASE her project, she gave me the punches she used for the car so I didn't have to figure it out all by myself! :) Check out her blog, Creative Wishes!

Card stock: Whisper White, YoYo Yellow, Bashful Blue, Glorious Green, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Brushed Silver, Basic Black, Going Gray

Ink: Going Gray, Glorious Green

Stamp set: Pendant Park

Punches: 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" square, word window, large and wide oval, 3/4", 1", and 1-1/4" circle, horizontal slot

Of course, my background is a bit different - after all, it WAS a punch class! :D - but Nancy, thank you so much for helping me out! (The last card I'll show you from the class was also inspired and instructed by Nancy!)

OK, I'm off. I have to battle pharmacy and coverage today - and I'm procratinating. Have a WONDERFUL day - and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something! (P.S. If you need any of the punches to do the punch art you've seen the last two days, either contact me or go to my business site and click the SHOP NOW button on the top right! :) )

AUGH! LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!

Could someone please arrange for things to go smoothly for just a week? Just seven days in a row?!?!? Please?!?!?! :D

ANYWAY.

Here's the bulletin board:
Didn't it turn out beautifully?

LOTS of punches and the Big Shot - and of course, ALL the dies are ©Stampin' Up! - as are the colors. :)

Here's a close-up of that rose:

Isn't it pretty? We learned how to do it last night at the Getting Punchy 2! class! Here's what we made last night:

Isn't it pretty? We had a GREAT time! Here's a hint: the rose is made with the ORNAMENT punch!

OK, I'm off to try to de-stress a little bit. :) Have a WONDERFUL day - and take the time to stamp something.

It's SO super-simple, and so fun! All it took was Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, and Creamy Caramel card stock, Creamy Caramel ink, and some punches - scallop edge, scallop circle, 1-3/8", and 1-1/4". The bunny is from FOREST FRIENDS - which you can earn for FREE if you put in your Sale-a-bration purchase by the end of the month!! Email or call me to find out how, or to place your order! :)

OK, I'm off to enjoy this beautiful day - and to do some designing. :D Have a WONDERFUL day - and be sure to take the time to STAMP something!

Hot Valentine for LAST DAY OF MY CHALLENGE!

It's FRIDAY! Valentine's Day is Sunday! Do you have big plans? We really don't, I don't think.... :D

Anyway. An incredible fellow demonstrator, Jackie Topa, inspired me to try making this card.

Card stock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red

Ink: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White Craft (inside)

Stamp set: Teeny Tiny Wishes

Accessories: Brayer, Bride Specialty Designer Series Paper, Pinking Heart Punch, Scallop Square Die, Big Shot, Wide Oval Punch, Modern Label Punch, Dimensionals

OK, so it's a little long for the bustier I was going for, but it DOES look like a teddy.... :D

Here's the inside of the card:

I've seen LOTS of things done with this DSP, and I decided NOW was the time I was going to get it. :D I'm so glad it arrived today, so I could show you how awesome it is! This card is shimmery and fun IRL - be sure and take a look at it when you come by for your next class or party!

OK. I'm off to teach our photography class! Have a great weekend, and be sure to stop by and check out my video on Monday (I hope!). :D Be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay safe and warm!

Quickie for Day 9 of My Valentine Challenge!

Edited to add: Oops! There have been at least two questions asked of me recently that I haven't answered yet! The first was Ginny, who wanted to know about the flower on this Advanced Techniques card. Ginny, they're from Stampin' Up! :D They're called Filigree Designer Brads, the item # is 112577, and they're $5.95. You can always order them from my business site!

Bonnie S., you asked about the "lace" around the heart yesterday. I'll do a video this weekend and post it Monday. How's that? :)

This one is super quick, not much froufrou on it - but I think it's fun! I wanted to do something that was a little less gender-specific, and I think this fits the bill! :D

Card stock: Taken With Teal, Basic Gray, Whisper White

Ink: Going Gray, Taken With Teal

Stamp sets: Puns from the Past, Teeny Tiny Wishes (inside)

Accessories: 1-1/4", 1-3/8", and scallop circle punches, ticket corner punch (inside), dimensionals, Big Shot, Naturally Serif Alpha Sizzlit

I love this stamp set, but don't get to use it too often. So, here it is! :D See, not too girly to give to a guy, not too manly to give to a girl. :D

OK, I'm off - I have BIG plans for tomorrow's card, and I need to get it done today since I am going to have to go teach in the morning! :)

Have a WONDERFUL day, and take the time to STAMP something!!

Valentine's Challenge Day 3!

Phew. This one took a bit! Can you tell which new punch I got yesterday? :D

Card stock: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Basic Gray

Ink: Pretty in Pink, Going Gray (inside)

Stamp sets: Forest Friends (which is available as a SALE-A-BRATIONS choice this year!!!!), Teeny Tiny Wishes, Well Scripted (inside)

Accessories: Pinking Hearts Border Punch, Full Heart Punch, Modern Label Punch, Big Shot :D, SU! Texturz Plates 1, Texturz Pad, Silicone Pad, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, White Embossing Powder, Ticket Corner Punch

I love using punches! It's so easy to get lots of dimension and detail and texture! :) I know you have to look closely to see the texturz embossing on the Basic Gray, but it's there! :D And the pinking hearts border punch is SO me - I LOVE HEARTS!!!

OK, I'm off - today will be a busy day. I hope you have a wonderful day - and PLEASE, take the time to STAMP something!!!

Thursday, January 21, 2010

Has this been a long week??

Isn't it Friday yet? :D Phew. I feel like I need a new battery! :D

Here's a great announcement from Stampin' Up!:

From now until February 28, 2010, $2 from every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set you buy will be donated American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

Product Name Item # Price
I {Heart} Hearts – clear-mount (block D recommended) 118571 $18.95
I {Heart} Hearts – wood-mount 117010 $26.95

This is a simple and straightforward plan; the more stamp sets you buy, the greater the difference you make. Often it is the simplest plans that work best!

To order this stamp set, or any other products - why not get some more toys, and save on the shipping? :) - just go to my business site, and click on the SHOP NOW button in the top right corner!

Edited to add: I am SO proud to be a part of this company! Please click to go to Shelli's Blog, and see what ELSE the company has done!

So: some of you have asked about the test tubes and corks. They are NOT a Stampin' Up! product - but wouldn't it be GREAT if they were? :D For now, however, we have to purchase them elsewhere. If I get enough people interested, I will coordinate a share of some of them - the more we purchase, the cheaper they are. :) So leave me a comment or drop me a line. Of course, if you get some, I'll want to see what you did with your STAMPIN' UP! PRODUCT and the test tubes! :D

OK. On with today's share - which is another fun item from the Valentine Stamp Camp!

EVERYONE is surprised when they see this mini milk carton - because it IS a mini! :) This is pretty much full-size, what you see on your screen!

We used Regal Rose for the main color, and the new Very Vintage wheel from the Occasions Mini - as well as the mini milk carton die from the Occasions Mini.

I wanted to show that the wheel will coordinate with OTHER stamps we carry, so we also used the FRESH CUTS stamp set. We used ink to age things, and punches for the little accent you see here. :) Isn't it a great little accent? We put votive candles in this carton; it's just big enough to hold it! And we used our mini library clips to close them - SO fun, because you don't have to worry about tearing the carton apart to get to the "prize inside"! :)

OK, I'm outta here - I still have prep work for Saturday's Stamp-a-Stack. Busy, busy, busy! :) I hope you have a fantastic day! Be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!!

Christmas is coming quickly!

Yup, today's post is a Christmas card - and a super-simple birthday card, because we did these yesterday at Cindy's workshop. We had a great time, and Cindy qualified for the Summer Fun Hostess Bonus!! It ROCKED!!! Her party came in at just over $400, so she got to pick the regular stuff - two free hostess sets, plus $45 worth of free stuff, HER CHOICE! - PLUS $40 more in free stuff!!!!!!!!!!! I'm REALLY excited for her! I have two more hostesses this month, and I'm hoping they'll at least make the smaller Hostess Bonus, which is at $250. Then they'll get an extra $25! If you want to get a party in before the end of June, please contact me immediately! It's also the last of the LAST CHANCE LIST time; the last time you can get those stamp sets is the end of June, and then they go away forever.

PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO ENTER THE THIRD ANNUAL BIRTHDAY CARD CONTEST!!!! There will be two winners - go to yesterday's post to get linked to the instructions!!!!!

Now, on with the show. :D

Card stocks: So Saffron, Whisper White

Ink: Riding Hood Red - retiring IN COLOR

Stamp sets: Cute & Curly (from CURLY LABEL PUNCH BUNDLE); inside - Holidays & Wishes - all retiring!

Accessories: SWEET SLUMBER cover-weight DSP (retiring), Curly Label Punch (from CURLY LABEL PUNCH BUNDLE, retiring), dimensionals

Can't get much more simple than this card! Pretty gender-neutral, too!

Now, on to the Christmas card - and it took lots of steps! :)

The smaller card is the INSIDE of the card; it was pretty cool itself, so I wanted to make sure you saw it. :)

Card stocks: Bravo Burgundy, Very Vanilla, Brushed Gold

Ink: Versamark

Stamp sets: Heritage Holiday, Holidays & Wishes - BOTH RETIRING

Accessories: So Swirly Jumbo Stampin' Around Wheel (retiring), jumbo handle, uninked cartridge, Versamark refill, gold embossing powder, embossing buddy, heat tool, 1-3/4" circle punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, ticket corner punch

This was a really fun card to do. LOTS of steps, but they weren't difficult steps! There's an OPTIONAL step, as shown in the sample here. I put the circle I punched out back into the hole to mask the inside, then took a pencil eraser and inked it with Versamark. I stamped it half on the card front, and half onto the punched circle, to make a scallop pattern around my window. Then, it's embossed with gold EP, too; it just added a little finishing touch to the card. :)

OK, I'm off! Lots to do, no ambition. :D Same ol' same ol'! :D Have a WONDERFUL day - and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
