Fall is REALLY here!

Good morning, dear friend. How are you today? It's so good to know you're out there (even if you don't leave me a comment :D)!

Forgive me for not posting (or doing much of anything online!) yesterday; Dad had his back surgery, and I thought I'd have plenty of time while at the hospital to do so. I DID have lots of TIME - just no internet access. LOL!!! So, you get this beautiful post TODAY. :)

This has been "all the rage" among demonstrators lately (there's a wreath like it in one of the Idea Books this time, but I can't remember if it's the BIG one or the Holiday one, and don't feel like looking! LOL!!!!). It's a pretty wreath, don't you think? And you could do it in any size you had a form!

Mine is a 10" floral foam wreath that I picked up at a garage sale for 25 cents. :D (I LOVE bargains, don't you???) I took my BIG SHOT (Say it with me: I LOVE MY BIG SHOT!!! :D) and the leaves #2 die, and cut out a LOT of leaves in Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, and Creamy Caramel, and a few Autumn Traditions Designer Series Paper.

Next, I took flat-headed straight pins and started sticking on the leaves. My fingertips are still sore, but I can take off those leaves really quickly and easily - and use both the wreath AND the leaves for something else, if I want! I started with the big flat, long leaves because I don't LIKE that one. :D Then, it was just a matter of filling up the wreath with the leaves turning every which way.

The DSP leaves are fastened with a touch of 2-Way Glue Pen, so the pin heads don't show. Then, I took some of the Whisper White satin ribbon and Chocolate Chip & Pumpkin Pie 1/4" grosgrain ribbons and made my bow. It, too, is fastened with a straight pin onto the wreath!

The wreath is now hanging in the Inspiration Station corner, so those of you who come to my studio can oooh and aaaaah over it in PERSON the next time you come - until the Station starts to fill with CHRISTMAS things. :D

This was an EASY project. I stuck the leaves on while watching TV! You could use glue if you wanted, and crumple the leaves to make it look a little more natural - whatever YOU want your wreath to look like, DO IT. :) Super fun, super easy! If you do one, let me know! :)

OK, I'm off to finish cleaning the studio, and work on designs for this weekend. My work is NEVER done.... LOL! I LOVE WHAT I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a wonderful day, my friend - and please, take the time to stamp something!!!!!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like...FALL!

I'm sorry I'm so late posting today; it's been a rough day. But I've been BUSY - look how fresh and clean and FALL-ish the Inspiration Station looks! :)

The Top Note Halloween cards are some cards I won from a sister demonstator last year. A couple of them have last year's Halloween DSP on them, but would be easily convertable. Check them out the next time you come over!

By the time the month is over, there will be lots more samples and things around the Station - but right now it looks GOOD. :D

Don't forget: THIS IS THE LAST DAY YOU CAN SIGN UP TO JOIN THE FAMILY! Just click on that link, and hit the JOIN button! I would LOVE to have you join my team!

Tomorrow is the first day of the HOLIDAY MINI - there are such AWESOME things!!! :) Be sure and come back tomorrow to see a sample or two. :D

Have a wonderful evening, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!!!

LAST CHANCE LIST ends June 30!

This is the Inspiration Station in my studio. I periodically change things out, so anyone who comes over can look and HOPEFULLY find something they're inspired by! :)

EVERYTHING displayed here is done with something that's retiring - either an IN COLOR, or a stamp set, or perhaps a DSP. Maybe it's a specific layout, or a cool cut. Anything that can inspire you, I hope is displayed in this corner!

Find inspiration wherever you can! Ask me questions! I'm here for YOU! :)

Have a wonderful day! Just two more days to get your entry to me for the THIRD ANNUAL BIRTHDAY CARD CONTEST! So, go take the time to STAMP something! :)

Is it summer yet??

It's sure felt like SPRING around here lately!! Temperatures have been as high as the mid-70s!! I've enjoyed it a little, but it's FEBRUARY, people!!!!! :D I don't LIKE heat, and I'm a little wary of how hot it might get this year. ::::::::::::sigh::::::::::: ;)

Oh, well!!! On with the show, as they say. :D

Today's card is another from the WHAT IN THE WORLD IS CRYSTAL EFFECTS? class. It MIGHT show up better if you click on the picture; there's Crystal Effects all over the lime, to make it look juicy and real! :) I love the colors in this card; it's refreshing and simple, in my VERY humble opinion.... :D

Here's the recipe! :)
Colors: YoYo Yellow, Only Orange, Whisper White, Green Galore

Stamp Sets: TART & TANGY, BOHO BACKGROUNDS

Accessories: Crystal Effects, Green Galore Stampin' Write marker, 1-1/4" square punch, 1-3/8" square punch, dimensionals.

That's it for today - I have to go finish designing my class for tonight - SCRAPBOOKING! If you'd like to know what classes are coming up, please CLICK HERE! Stay tuned for samples from the SB class - and let me know what YOU are stamping! :D Have a WONDERFUL day!!!!

Another new item from the inspiration station!

Psalm 100 is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible, and these two verses are two of my favorites in the chapter.

It might have been more "professional" if I'd typed it out in a fancy font, but I really like the fact that it's in my own handwriting. I used a Chocolate Chip and Ruby Red Stampin' Write Marker to write it out.

I used the negative from die cutting the maple leaves on my Big Shot to dry emboss the leaves along the side of a piece of Creamy Caramel. I used my finger with a little bit of Close to Cocoa ink to edge the leaves.

Isn't it pretty? :D I'd love to see what you're creating! You ARE taking the time to STAMP, aren't you???

The Inspiration Station!

Hi, everyone! Here's the fresh, new look of the Inspiration Station!

For the rest of the week, I'll be sharing at least one of the new projects here! :)

First, there was a question on one of the comments from last week that I want to answer. :)

Hi Lori,This is my first time visiting your blog. What did you use to clean off the ornaments before you adhered the rub-ons?Stampin' Smiles from Ear to Ear, Ann :)

Ann, I used rubbing alcohol or an alcohol pad. It's the simplest, easiest way to do it. The alcohol pads are really convenient; you can find them with the diabetic supplies at most superstores. :)

OK. On to a new project!

Both of these ideas came from fellow demonstrators; I can't wait to show you some winter/Christmas takes on these! :D
The pumpkin is made with the large circle punch and the five-petal flower punch. It's SUPER-cute!!!
The Frankenstein face you've seen here before; this one is smaller, and it contains a standard-sized Hershey's chocolate bar.
The thing that makes him really incredible is the sponging on his nose and eyelids, and the white reflections in his eyes. He's FUN, isn't he???
Stay tuned for more show-n-tell! :) Have a wonderful day - and PLEASE, take the time to stamp something!!

Phew, I've been BUSY!!!!!

See the new slideshow over on the right??? I'm going to do these once a month, to show you the cards and 3D items people gift me. :) If you want to be seen, send me something! :D

IF you aren't there, it means the something you gave me didn't make it to my basket. I promise to do better on being organized! :D

This guy is a gift certificate holder! :D I made him, super-simple, to hold a donation Kenn and I are giving from our HPP business for Encore Theatre Company's fundraiser. It's always a Halloween-themed "ball", so I went with the flow. :)
OK, I'm gonna run - still doing bunches and bunches of stuff!!! Have a WONDERFUL week - and make the time to stamp something. You're gonna fall over when you see all I've been doing!! :D

Look how EMPTY!!!

I have a class on glossy card stock tomorrow morning, and the open house is just three days away - so I took down all the old samples at my Inspiration Station, and will put up all the NEW ones when everyone leaves tomorrow, so I can make sure I have lots of things to OOOOOHHHH and AAAHHHHHH over. :D

I'm stamping my little heart out over here! What are you stamping? You ARE stamping, aren't you?

;)
