Happy Birthday Banner Card

Hi! Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week - it's been beautiful here the last couple of days; I hope you're thawing out, if you've been getting hit with snow all winter. :)

I wanted to play around with a couple of things for this card. First, it's on Soft Sky as a base. I used Pool Party ink on the inside of my Perfect Polkadot embossing folder to give that layer a mottled look. Then there's a layer of Wild Wasabi; I stamped the sea horse and the bushy plant from BY THE TIDE, embossed the sea horse with Wild Wasabi, then rubbed some WW ink onto and around him, to highlight him a little bit. I took that strip and spritzed it with some homemade Frost White spritz, to give it a little irridescence. Finally, I stamped the "happy birthday" banner from ITTY BITTY BANNERS and embossed it with silver and cut it out with the framelit that matches, and mounted it on front with Dimensionals.

Isn't it pretty?!? :) I think I did this one when it was cold out and I was missing the ocean. :D

OK, I'm outta here! Have a wonderful day! Be sure to stamp something! :)

Lori - I love your card! I have so many friends and relatives that love the ocean so I can't wait to try out this beautiful card and your techniques. I first saw it on Pinterest and then of course had to post it from your blog. TFS... Barb

Pretty simple and soothing colors, have the necessary accents. I like this and it's shaped like fish horse right?

I LOVE this card! How do you make Frost White spritz??

Sorry that I'm just now seeing all of these questions! Yes, the stamp is shaped like a seahorse - but you could use any stamp. :)
To make the spritz, you'll need a spritzer - available from Stampin' Up! :D. Fill 1/2 way with rubbing alcohol, and about 1/4 teaspoon of Frost White shimmer paint (also SU!). Shake well from side to side; up and down will eventually clog the spritzer tube. You can use a drop or so of any re-inker if you want it colored. :)
Hope that helps!
