SURPRISE! :D

SURPSISE! I'm here on THURSDAY!!!! :D Why, you ask? Well, I know most of you don't pay any attention to the MDS pages I post, and I thought MAYBE I could at LEAST get you to look if I did it as an EXTRA post! :D

Did you know that you can try MY DIGITAL STUDIO for FREE for 30 days? It's fully-functional; you can download the trial, and play with it to your heart's content - and I can almost guarantee you'll be impressed and want it! :D Just click here -----MY DIGITAL STUDIO FREE TRIAL!!!----- and go to town! (There's LOADS of helpful information at My Digital Studio Online if you want to see videos, ask other users questions, get pricing, etc., etc!!!)

ANYWAY. If you click on the photo above, you can see the pages at the size I downloaded them at. This was a sketch layout challenge, and I absolutely love doing them. It forces me out of my personal box, and helps me get some scrapping done at the same time! :) As you can see, this is a layout of our 15th anniversary - if you've been following my blog for a while, you may remember this post about it. If not, you can always go read it.... :D

So! HAPPY THURSDAY, Happy Last Day of January, and just be BLESSED! :D TTFN!

CASE challenge!

Good Wednesday Morning! :D

Have you had a good week so far? Learning your "something new" every day? :D Yeah, it takes a bit of work some days.... :D

This is another one of those challenges from SUDSOL where I can't show you the card I'm supposed to be CASEing. Trust me when I tell you that the colors and stamps are nothing like the original. :D But the layout, and the ribbon, and placement of the sentiment, etc., are the same.

When I got it all together, I couldn't help but think of Neapolitan ice cream. :D My dad, who doesn't like chocolate, thought it was too out of balance with chocolate color if I thought it was gonna be Neapolitan. :D

ANYWAY. I used the Simply Scored with the Borders Scoring Plate for the bottom bit of scallop scoring - and that's Soft Suede card stock. The next layer up is Whisper White, using the scallop edge border punch on the bottom. Then there's a thin bit of Early Espresso; the top piece of card stock is Pink Pirouette, stamped with the cake from MAKE A CAKE in Soft Suede. The sentiment is from TEENY TINY WISHES, stamped in Early Espresso. And that's Early Espresso stitched ribbon. Simple and easy, except for figuring out what stamp to use! :D

So, what do you think? And do you LIKE having the links for the products in these posts?

OK, I'm outta here. Have a wonderful day, and be sure to STAMP something! :)

Confident Direction!

Good Monday Morning! Did you have a good weekend? Did you get to get inky this weekend? :D Any plans to do so this week?

I was blessed to be able to stay home most of the last week; I'm going to start getting busy these last six weeks before we leave, so it was nice to have some days where I didn't work too hard. :D So Saturday, I worked on some challenges and this card, which I've been wanting to do for a while.

First, I like it because it's a very clean and simple design. It's also a great masculine card. And it uses the Simply Scored for the border - which IS on all four sides of the stamped greeting, even if you really can't see the left because of my camera angle! :)

It's SUPER simple - just cut your Whisper White card stock at 4"x5-1/4"; you're going to score three times on all sides, at 1/2", 4/8", and 3/4". I just kept turning my card stock, so I wouldn't have to give you more math! (Some of you HATE figuring out mats, etc! :D )I stamped BEFORE I did the scoring, so I could make sure my image came out cleanly!!! The colors of the Stampin' Write markers I used are Midnight Muse and Gumball Green - and the card base is Midnight Muse. The stamp is from WORD PLAY; I really enjoy that stamp, but since I don't like to cut things out - like the arrow - I don't use it much. THIS, however, I can see myself making quite a few of. I LOVE clean and simple! :D

OK, I'm outta here! So much to do, so little motivation.... :D Have a WONDERFUL day, and let me know what you think of this one. :) And be sure to make the time to STAMP something, would ya?!? :D

Project #3: Thanks a Ton!

Happy FRIDAY! Have big plans? Going to just veg? :D

This is the third and final project from Saturday's party. And although all three projects used heat embossing and the Big Shot, this one was the winner - at least with the Big Shot use. :D

OK, so those are the new oval framelits in the Spring catalog. Not only are these two on the front, there's one bigger inside with the sentiment on it.

We used the new Pool Party embossing powder on the whale, the greeting, and the sentiment.

We used the new clouds embossing folder for the background of the whale - that's from Oh, Whale!, and so are the waves. (Don't you just LOVE how straight my waves are?!? :D )

The googlie eye is from the last book; I really hope they bring them back. They're just plain ol' FUN. :D

The colors are Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, and Whisper White. We also used the Bitty Banners Framelits, Stampin' Pastels, and Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. See? Lots of Big Shot fun! :D

(Did they retire my Pastels?!?!? Oh, BOTHER - I love those things. )

OK, I'm outta here. :D Enjoy your weekend, whatever you do. But be sure to take the time to stamp SOMEthing!! :)

Project #2: Our 3D project!

Happy Wednesday! How is your week going? Had a chance to stamp lately??

This is our 3D project from Saturday's class. Valentine's Day will be here before you know it, and I wanted to show off two of the Sale-a-Bration items, too!

This is "Valentine's Corn" that I got at Walmart, in our 1"x8" cello bags. The topper is Whisper White, with a Real Red heart cut with the Heart Collection Framelits. The tiny curly label punch is a stamp from the Petty Petites stamp set (SAB item) embossed with Melon Mambo, then punched with the Petite Curly Label punch (also an SAB item, but it says it will be available for purchase after SAB). We affixed it to the heart with a dimensional, then used Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details on the teeny-tiny heart in the corner.

There's a special for Valentine's treat giving that I want you to know about! If you want the flyer with BOTH Valentine's specials on it emailed to you, email me at poohisstampin@aol.com, and I'll get it right to you. Anyway - the treat one is a 20% savings! You get 50 of the 1"x8" treat bags the Happy Heart single stamp for only $5.95.

OK, I'm outta here. Lots to do, as usual. :D Have a WONDERFUL day, and make sure you take the time to STAMP something!

Project #1: CASEd from a CASE!

Good Monday Morning!

We had a FANTASTIC time Saturday! :D If you couldn't be here, I'm sorry. If you want to place an order for the beginning of Sale-a-Bration, it's not too late! Call or email me NOW!!! (615-497-4532. or poohisstampin@aol.com)

Anyway. This is a CASE of a card I found on Pinterest; here's the link to it. But I like mine better. :D I like the colors better, and the patterns. I'll give you the "ingredients"!

Card stock: Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party

(BTW, anyone notice that Pool Party EP in the spring mini? Pool Party is one of the IN COLORS that runs out this year; says to me a color shake-up is coming down the line. Just a hunch....)

Ink: Whisper White Craft, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party (inside)

Stamp sets: Word Play, Teeny Tiny Wishes & Countyside (inside)

Accessories: Big Shot, Framed Tulips Folder, Summer Smooches DSP, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Dimensionals, white embossing powder, heat tool, embossing buddy

OK, I'm outta here! Have a WONDERFUL day, and be sure to make the time to STAMP something! :)

Kind of CASEd...really.

HAPPY FRIDAY! Got big plans for this weekend? It's supposed to be cold but SUNNY here this weekend. It's been overcast for a long time, so seeing glimpses of sunlight on Thursday was very soothing. :)

Anyway. Remember I've mentioned SUDSOL several times before? This is another challenge - another CASE of a card you don't get to see. :D So you can go ahead and think I'm incredibly gifted.... :D I *did* change it up, but I think it's pretty good.

The colors are Wistful Wisteria, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, and Pink Pirouette. The stamp set is Fabulous Florets. Simple! :) Now, the Whisper White back piece? It's not a Framelit; the card I was supposed to CASE used it, but I don't have it. So I made something that looks like it: it's a piece of card stock with a 1" circle punched out and cut in half, and adhered to the back of the original piece. :D Good fakeout, right?

OK, I'm outta here. I'm having my Stampin' Up! party tomorrow morning at 9:30, if anyone wants to come - or if  you want to place an order! Just LMK, so I have enough supplies for you!!!!! And I'm MAKING breakfast; it's going to be a very special one, and I can't wait to share. :D Next week will be shares of what we did for projects.

Have a WONDERFUL weekend! Be sure and make the time to stamp something!!!

Having mini fun!

Good Monday afternoon! How are you?!? I'm having trouble getting motivated today. :D I mean, look at how long it took me to share this with you today....

These tiny (2-1/8"-square) cards are showing you TWO previews from the Sale-a-Bration freebies, PLUS the new embossing plate for the Simply Scored. I am LOVING this scoring plate; it's easy to use, and so very versatile! Its much harder to see in the photo than IRL; the embossing on the heart card is on the bottom of the card. The stamp and mini label punch are the SAB freebies I received - SO much fun. Oh, I guess there's another Occasions item, too - the Real Red Core-dinations card stock that is the heart. :D If you look at the original picture size, I think you can see that I've distressed the heart a bit.

OK, I'm outta here! I'm working on getting projects ready for my nieces and nephews to do at our family reunion - I need to get those done now, so I can focus on packing for our Oregon stay. Eek! :D So much to do, so little desire to do it! :D

Have a wonderful day! Be SURE to make the time to stamp something!!!!

In the meantime, I decided to do a challenge from SUDSOL - remember that demonstrators-only group? Well, the challenge for this one this week was to take a card that was in our demonstrators-only magazine, STAMPIN' SUCCESS, and tweak it to make it our own. So this is mine. :D

Card stock: Very Vanilla, Elegant Eggplant, Brushed Gold

Ink: Elegant Eggplant

Stamp sets: Word Play, Occasions Alphabet (inside)

Accessories: Tasteful Trim die, Big Shot (Yup, I STILL LOVE IT! :D), Basic Pearls and Rhinestones, clear embossing powder, Heat Tool, embossing buddy, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder

OK, I'm outta here to stalk UPS some more. :D Have a WONDERFUL day - and be SURE to make the time to STAMP something!!!!!

Another Gift Card Share!

Good Friday Morning! Have you had a great week? Have you STAMPED anything this week?

Now, some of you might be thinking, "Christmas is over and gone for another 354 days. WHY is she posting stuff?!?!?" Well, there are two reasons. First, I know most of you didn't do your own cards this year, and it's never too early to start! The second is that I never know where you might get inspiration for something ELSE from!

As you can tell, this card is a LOT like the one that won the prize at the Chattanooga regional. I cut it with the scallop circle die in my Big Shot. This one also holds a gift certificate in it; many of you know we got a new-to-us Kia in the fall, and spent a lot of time with it in the shop while the kinks got worked out of it. The owner of the shop is a WONDERFUL man, goes to Springhouse Worship & Arts Center with us, and is as honest as you could ask for! His garage is Gold Street Automotive in Smyrna. If you need someone, I can't recommend him highly enough!

ANYWAY. :D We wanted to give him something for all the extra work he'd done to get the vehicle to us, so we're giving his six (I think?!?) children and him each portrait sessions. And these are the cards we gave him to gift to his kids. :)

OK. I'm outta here! Kenn and I are doing a show in Lebanon - if you want details, PLEASE ask! I'd LOVE to see some of you at the show! :D Have a WONDERFUL weekend, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!!!

Merry Christmas!

Good afternoon! :) How are you doing???

I had someone buy one of my customers a gift certificate for Christmas, and when that happens I always design a special card just for that person. This is the card I did for my friend and customer. :)

The borders are Brushed Gold card stock, punched with what seems to be a retired punch! EEK! How did it retire?!?!? :D

Anyway. That's Night of Navy, spritzed with Gold Glow Smooch Spritz. The tree is stamped in Illuminate ink, and there's a basic rhinestone in the middle of the star. The "Merry Christmas" is embossed with silver embossing powder. It's shimmery and sparkly IRL! :)

OK, I'm outta here. Kenn and I are opening a show in Lebanon this weekend, and I've still got to get ready to go. :) Have a WONDERFUL day, and be SURE to MAKE the time to stamp something!
