Love those rubons!

I just LOVE them!!! This card is simply card stock and CHERISHED MEMORIES rub-ons. It's the card that I included in my swap, that I'll be showing you probably next week - it's on its way to the recipient right now! :)
So, that's Basic Gray, Whisper White, and Purely Pomegranate card stocks.
I REALLY like this one! :) Those colors are awesome, and the rub-ons make it SO easy to design!!!
What are YOU stamping?? I haven't heard from too many of you lately! I know I've been super-busy, but the play's run is almost over, so I'll be back full-force! :)
Let me know what you'd like to see - Ginny, I haven't forgotten the oval punch request. :)
I need to run and start working on the designs for tomorrow night with Angela, the only one who can come to the 6x6 class this month! April promises to be an interesting month...! :)
PLEASE, take the time to STAMP something!!! :) I'll be back soon!

One more scrapbook layout! :)

OK, this is the LAST layout from LAST month's scrapbooking class. I REALLY like the way this one turned out, and that's why I saved it for last. :) I know I've been posting a lot of simple cards lately; the show has worn me out - if you'd like to see some photos from it, read a little bit about it, you can check out my other blog, http://www.wannabethatgal.blogspot.com. :)
ANYWAY. This is using Brocade Blue card stock and Whisper White ink. We dragged the ink pad along the card stock in the direction we wanted the boards to go, then drew in the boards and nail heads with our white gel pen - which is an AWESOME gel pen!!! The "cherish" is from the Cherished Memories Rub-Ons in the Spring/Summer IB&C.
We used the distressor tool on the cutter kit to distress the edges of the Creamy Caramel mats, then used Creamy Caramel ink and a sponge to add even more distressing. That's natural hemp tied around the mats; we used paper snips to age the hemp a bit, so it would feel worn, too.
The following is the 6x6 layout, using the same exact techniques:

As you can see, we only tied the hemp around the journaling box, because the photo mats can't be as big on this size layout.
So, what do you think? Do you like it as much as I do? :D I really had a great time with these techniques, and ANYTHING that says "beach" is beautiful to me. :)
What are YOU working on??? Are YOU stamping? I am, but it's for a swap - so I can't show you until AFTERWARD. :D
Please! Not for MY sake, but for YOURS! Take the time to STAMP something! It's therapeutic! :D Have a WONDERFUL day!

I'm playing with my new set! :)

I just got BOHO BACKGROUND last week, and with the show's craziness, this is the first I've really got to play. :) My nads aren't cooperating much, so I won't be doing much else, but I thought this was a fun card. Very easy, only one set - but lots of card stock. :D
Card stock is So Saffron and Whisper White. I used So Saffron ink to stamp the flowers as a background; the Night of Navy is a Stampin' Write Marker. I used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get the words where I wanted them, and the small oval punch to punch them out. Everything except the main card is edged with the marker. I used dimensionals to pop the designer label punch.
I like the clean lines of this card! What do you think?
Are you taking the time to STAMP something?? Who are you blessing with your creation? :) ENJOY your stampin', everyone! Have a WONDERFUL day!

HAPPY RESURRECTION WEEKEND!!

I just wanted to share a quick card with you, again from last Friday! :) Isn't it fun?!?!?
The card stock is Gable Green and Whisper White - with a little punch of Pretty in Pink for the nose, with the pink designer paper from the Level 1 Hostess selection paper pack.
The inks are Gable Green, Glorious Green, and a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. The stamp sets are BUD BASICS and SWEET SERENDIPITY. :) The punches are large and regular ovals, 1-3/8" circle, 1/2" circle, and 1/4". I used vintage brads (from last year) for his eyes.
The ribbon is the Whisper White grosgrain, but I used a Pretty in Pink Stampin' Write Marker to highlight the edges - simple, but so effective!
Enjoy your celebration this weekend, dear friend. I hope you try the punch bunny - and if you need any of the punches, just let me know! :) I hope you'll sneak a couple of minutes in to STAMP something! :)

Good morning!

Well, the show opened last night, and from the people who talked to me, I'd say it's pretty good. :D
Anyway. This card is one more that I did last Friday night. I just wanted bright, fun colors! :D The card stocks are Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Gable Green and Whisper White; the inks are Green Galore and Pixie Pink. I didn't have a word window punch with me, so I trimmed the saying down and used a corner rounder on it!
The stamp sets are A BEAUTIFUL THING and BOHO BACKGROUNDS - which I just got. :) And of course, I used the scallop circle punch.
What are YOU stamping these days??? I haven't heard too much from ANYONE. I'm still going to do tutorials, I promise - maybe I can get one shot next week!
So, I'm gonna go. I'm exhausted! :D And don't forget - TAKE THE TIME TO STAMP SOMETHING! :D If it doesn't move, STAMP IT!!!!! :)

Another TART & TANGY!

This is another card I did Friday night. Can you tell I love using brads for texture? :)
That's Summer Sun and Only Orange card stock and ink, with a little Whisper White thrown in.
Besides TART & TANGY, the "thank you" is from TAKE THREE.
Simple, cheery, and bright! :D Feel free to CASE away. :D
OK, gotta run - the show opens tomorrow! Have a WONDERFUL day! And PLEASE, take the time to STAMP something!!!

Stampin' on the fly!

Here's another sample for you from the workshops this month!
Isn't it PRETTY???? The card stock colors are Bashful Blue, Whisper White, and Real Red; the cherry stamp is from TART & TANGY, in the Ocassions Mini Catalog - and the paper's from it, too, in the SUMMER PICNIC designer series paper pack. The brads are gold; we used the Real Red and Old Olive Stampin' Write markers, the scallop circle punch, and the 1-3/8" circle punch.
How easy, fresh, yet retro is this card?!?!??!?! I have to tell you, I love the cherries! :D
OK, off to do more stuff. :D Have a WONDERFUL day - and take the time to STAMP something!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Good morning! Top o' the mornin' to ya! :D (Hey, I'm part Irish, I'm allowed to say that!!!!)
Here's my card to you, my readers - although anyone who was at a party this month got to MAKE this one. :)
We used Glorious Green, Summer Sun, and Whisper White card stocks, Glorious Green Classic Ink, and Summer Sun and More Mustard Stampin' Write Markers with the Pinch o' Luck stamp set. Isn't it cute? He's a lot of fun!
OUR TOWN opens THIS THURSDAY, so this week is FULL of stress. It looks like I'm going to have to stage manage it, too - unless someone volunteers to step up and help out!!! Anyone?!?!?!?
Ok, dear friend, I have to run. Lots to do before tonight's LONG rehearsal. I hope you'll take the time to STAMP something!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just playing!

Last night was craft night at our church, and I decided to work on a few samples to give me something to blog quickly this week, while we're trying to put our play up on its feet. I'm TIRED, but I love stampin'. :D
I just LOVE this TART & TANGY stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog! I've already sold a lot of other people on the stamp set; this is a quick one I put together last night, along with the saying from SWEET SERENDIPITY. Colors are Garden Green, Whisper White, and Ruby Red.
So tell me what you think about this simple card! :) And I'll be back in a couple of days to post another one! :)
Have a WONDERFUL weekend! And take the time to STAMP something - it's incredibly therapeutic! :D

And the winner is....

GOOD DAY! :D In case you're wondering why I'm being so sporadic with posting, it's the SHOW!!! Kenn and I are co-directing OUR TOWN, and there's lots to get done before we open NEXT WEEK!!!! Anyone who wants to come help, give me a buzz!! :)
This sample is one that we did at Sale-A-Bration hostess parties this month - and the stamp set is SWEET SERENDIPITY, courtesy of my wonderful friend, Melissa!!! :) I LOVE THIS SET!!!! I haven't really had a chance to play yet, because why? oh yeah, the show - but it sure makes a great little treat bag! :)
That's Whisper White and Green Galore card stock, Pink Passion and Green Galore inks, and our small cello bags. Oh, and don't forget my favorite corner punch, the ticket corner punch! :) Super-simple!!!!
Oh. You want to know who won the blog candy giveaway??? I'm still collecting everything she gets - and I'll be sure and take a pic before I send it all off.... How exciting is this? :)
Are you ready?
Are your hopes high?
Well, someone is going to be VERY happy.....
And the winner is.....
Kathy H!
Congratulations, Kathy. :) I'll try to get this out by Saturday, but with the way my week's going, it might be next week. :) Don't worry - it's a great prize!!!
That's all for today - I have GOT to run. We took the rare opportunity to sleep in today, so I'm running a bit behind on everything.... :)

WHEW! Sorry it's been so long!!!

Wow. What a LIFE it's been around here this month already!!!!!! Please forgive my absence; it's been one of THOSE things. I hope you're ready for more samples, and more information, and that I can keep my sanity for the next two weeks.

Kenn and I are co-directing OUR TOWN, and it opens NEXT THURSDAY, so it's crunch time. I'm already tired. :D

This is the LAST WEEK of Sale-A-Bration; for every $50 in merchandise you purchase from either the Occasions Mini Catalog, or the Spring/Summer Idea Book & Catalog, you can get anything in this brochure for FREE! Take a look, and contact me NOW to get your order in before time runs out!!

OK. On to sharing something. :D Let me look in my little folder, and see what I'm going to draw out for today....

This will work! :) This is a card I did with a homeschooling group of young ladies last week. We had a great time, and I think they enjoyed what they made.

The cardstock colors are Green Galore, Only Orange, and Whisper White; the ribbon is Real Red grosgrain. The background is the Spot On jumbo Stampin' Around wheel, done in Versamark. We tied the ribbon around the Only Orange in a knot, then punched out a scallop with the scallop circle punch. We used the Green Galore and Real Read Stampin' Write Markers to color in the stamp, which is the SO MANY SCALLOPS stamp set from the SAB brochure, and punched that out with the 1-14" circle punch. Punching out a 1-3/8" circle, too, we matted it all up, and put the scallop onto the card with a pop-up glue dot. The inside is stamped with a saying from another SAB set, LOTS OF THOUGHTS. Isn't it a fun card? Bright and colorful - and the colors can be appropriate for either gender! :D

Don't think I've given up on the blog candy; I've got to wait until Kenn's home to help me draw the winner, but I'm collecting all the loot to go in the box! :D I PROMISE it will be announced in the next two days! :D

So, what are YOU stamping???? You ARE stamping, right? Show me!!! And if you don't have anything to show me, for goodness' sake! Take the time to STAMP something!! :D

Have a wonderful day!

Another watercoloring class card

Good afternoon, everyone! I wanted to show another card that I showed the girls how to do. It's REALLY subtle, and may be difficult to see in the scan - I think you can see it better if you click on it, kinda :D - but all I did was stamp the image - from SUMMER BY THE SEA, which is now retired :(.
Then, taking my aqua painter, I pulled in the green ink from the stamped image to color in her dress, and a bit on the grass. It makes a beautiful monochromatic card, don't you think?
I've gotten the suggestion that I should do a tutorial on watercoloring. That's quite possible - once this month is over. :D My sister and five of the six kids have been here for a week, and with the show opening two weeks from Thursday - besides stampin', of course! - well, life is a bit BUSY. :D I will do another tutorial soon, I promise.
So, what are YOU stamping? Have you tried anything you've seen on this blog lately? I've been trying to keep it simple, with lots of color suggestions - most of these are super-simple things you can do, too! :)
BLESS someone with what you stamp - and please, for your sanity :D, take the time to STAMP something!!!

Watercoloring class!

Hi, everyone! Thanks so much for continuing to come check out my blog - I've got family here, and things are a little difficult to keep working.... :)
This is a card from my watercoloring class; it was the easiest one, but I really like the colors and the feel of this card. The base is Pretty in Pink; the other colors are Always Artichoke and Purely Pomegranate. The set we used is Bud Basics.
Super simple, could do a lot of these at one time, and you could use it for just about any occasion!
OK, I need to run again - I'm teaching a group of homeschool girls tonight, and am looking forward to it. Then again, I'd also look forward to a nap or five.... :D
Have a WONDERUL evening, my friends! Leave me a message, let me know there are people out there. :D Enjoy your week - and for goodness' sake, take the time to STAMP something!!!
