Time to take a break....

Hi! I hope and pray you had a blessed Christmas! We did; what a wonderful day it was.

However, my December has been packed with things unforseen, and I'm feeling the need for a little break. (See?!?! I'm going a little nuts....:D)

I won't be breaking from STAMPING this week, just from posting. I need to focus - and start getting my new toys inked for the Occasions Mini and Sale-a-bration, which BOTH start January 5!!!

I'm just going to take the upcoming week off. :) I'll see you in 2010 - enjoy your NEW YEAR'S CELEBRATIONS!

It's Christmas Eve!!!

We've had a wonderful visit with my wonderful sister so far, and the men are all out getting our traditional foods for the next 24 hours, then they'll go finish their shopping this afternoon - and so our traditions continue. :)

Let me share a quick wrapping idea with you, in case you've waited until the last minute.... :D This is from our GIFTS FROM THE HEART, too, so no specifics - but you'll probably be able to figure it out pretty easily.

I LOVE our treat boxes!! They're a GREAT deal, very economical, and can be dressed up quite easily - or used as-is. :)

I WILL be here tomorrow with my Christmas card for y'all; the Twelve Weeks for the last one will be only delivered via email.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! "Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth, peace, goodwill toward men."

Now, go stamp something! Quick! :D

Happy Christmas Eve Eve! :D

Yeah, we do that in our family - at least my baby sister and me. :D I can't wait to see her - she'll be here any time!!!! :D

So, for today, I'm going to give you a quick gift idea. :)

SUPER easy!!!!! This was from the class GIFTS IN A FLASH. It's a 4x6 clear acrylic frame - you can get these at any big store. We cut a piece of card stock the size of the frame, ran it through the Big Shot - there's NOTHING like the Big Shot for fast, easy gifts!!!! - and highlighted the embossing with ink. Tie a ribbon around it, and stick on a post-it note. DONE. :D

See how easy? You could make them for any occasion, any color combo - you can stamp the post-its if you have time, to personalize the gift. Your imagination is the limit!:D

OK, I'm gonna run. ENJOY YOUR DAY - and take the time to STAMP something! :) Merry Christmas Eve Eve!

Are you relaxing yet? :D

No, me either.:D But I'm definitely at the point where I start saying, "Yeah, I still need to do this thing on my list, but those four can not happen and life won't end...." :D

Don't forget - today is the LAST DAY of the 12 Days of Christmas Sale! Click on the sidebar image to go shop now! :) (And, dear Santa, if you're listening, I REALLY, REALLY want that Timeless Type Alpha Die Set for my Big Shot!!!!!!!!!!!!! AUGH!!!!!!!!)

Today, I'm sharing a fun project I did for a cookie swap - first the group shot, then one closer-in. Remember you can always click on the photo to get it the full size I uploaded it! :)

This was a project we did at the Gifts From the Heart class, as well - just in a different color. See?

You'll need the Fancy Favor die and your Big Shot to make these. Here's a clue: there are TWO of the Fancy Favor box/bag pieces put together to make this!

On both, we used Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP (Still available in the Holiday Mini, until January 4! I LOVE THIS DSP!!). I just love the way they came out; I also gave one of the originals to my UPS delivery guy yesterday, to thank him for all the deliveries he's made here this year. :D

The card you see attached to the cookie swap packages is the recipe; I used a fancy font, so the card had to be BIG. As a dear friend tells me, I like "loopy" fonts. :D So, I just made it so it matched, and attached it to the package. :D

I LOVE to hear people OOOOH and AAAAAH over things I've made. :D Corrine helped me make the ones for the cookie exchange while she was here; it was a fun way to introduce her to stamping, and get some help, AND get the boxes made in advance. :D

OK, I'm off to do some more Christmas things. :) My sister and BIL get here tomorrow! Yea! I hope and pray that you're taking time now to BREATHE, and to enjoy the beauty surrounding you. Count your blessings, especially the small ones. They add up so quickly - we just need to take the time to SEE them. :)

BE BLESSED - and please, take the time to STAMP something! :)

A Christmas present....

Happy MONDAY, December 21!!! Only four more days until Christmas! I bet preparations are at a fever pitch at YOUR house, too. :) Try and take some time to ENJOY the lights, the scents, and the moments that will become your cherished memories, too! :)

I'm giving you this video tutorial as a Christmas gift; I have hopes of perhaps doing one more this week, but finding time when it's quiet is a little difficult. I also realize that little bits of this are off-screen - when you're shooting where you can't see the image, it's difficult!! So, if you have questions on something you can't see, please don't hesitate to ask me. :)

Merry Christmas!

WEEK ELEVEN of the 12 Weeks of Christmas!

Gracious! Seven days from today is Christmas!!!

Be sure and open your email today to see what's in the box! This was a LOT of fun to design; I hope you enjoy it. :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! Have a wonderful weekend, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP SOMETHING!!!!

Here it is, Thursday! ONE WEEK UNTIL CHRISTMAS EVE!

My sister and brother-in-law will be here Wednesday! Christmas Eve is Thursday! CHRISTMAS IS ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW!! Are you looking forward to it???? :D I can't wait to get a big hug from my sister! :)

OK. Have you noticed that this week's posts have all been things other than cards? :) Today's no exception! It's from our HEARTH & HOME class once again!

This uses the Decor Stencil Vintage Ornaments 1 (item #117580). It's a GREAT stencil set, and easy to work with!

The ornament's done with Chocolate Chip craft ink; we dried it, then sprayed it with a fixative. The top stencil's embossed. The ribbon is from last year's Holiday Mini, but I LOVE it - watch for more satin ribbon in the OCCASIONS MINI, which goes live January 5!!!! Of course, the tag is from CHRISTMAS PUNCH, a level 2 hostess-only set. With Sale-a-Bration coming up - and for the longest period of time EVER!!! - you could so easily earn this stamp set, plus a LOT of other great things, if you are a hostess!! CALL OR EMAIL ME to get on my calendar!!!!!

OK, I'm off - I really need to decide on my class schedule for the first two months of the year. :D Have a WONDERFUL day, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP SOMETHING!!!!

Is it just me? Seriously??

Time is FLYING around here - my sister and brother-in-law will be here a week from today, and Christmas Eve is a week from tomorrow!!!!! I still have so much to do! :::sigh:::

Oh, well. :) Here's another Decor Elements gift idea - SUPER simple, but really something IRL. I'm not sure how well this scan shows it off, but you'll get the idea! :)

This is a project from our HOME & HEARTH class last month. It's one of my favorite classes - and the one I usually stress over the most. :D I really want the attendees to have heirloom-quality pieces that they can pass on if they wish.

This project uses HOLY FAMILY (stamp set) and HOLIDAY MIX CHOCOLATE (Decor Element) from the Holiday Mini; you can still get your hands on these until January 4! The colors are Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, and Whisper White - with some Encore Gold Ink in there, too. I got the frame at Walmart. It's a CHEAP frame, but it works OK when it sits up. :)

OK, I'm off - probably to procrastinate some more. :D Have a wonderful day, and PLEASE. TAKE THE TIME TO STAMP SOMETHING! :D

Gift idea - super fast and simple!

Good morning! How are you today?? I hope you're having a great week, getting all revved up for Christmas. What a joy it is to spend time with friends and family! Keeping secrets, listening to favorite carols, looking at ALL the lights - is it me, or are there more homes decorated this year? YEA!! - baking favorite recipes; I love this time of year!

Speaking of baking: today's sample is from the GIFTS FROM THE HEART class we did this year for the first time; a class of this type will definitely be on the schedule again next November. It was SO much fun! This is a box we did, and actually did the two little brownie balls inside to take home!SUPER simple! I'll give you the "ingredients", but not the recipe - since it was a class. :) You can probably figure it out REALLY easily!

Card stock: Whisper White, Real Red

Accessories: Red gingham ribbon, snowflake punch, wide oval punch, window sheets, Big Shot (SEE?!??! It make gift-giving SO easy!), box #2 die

Seriously. Want to make quick, easy gifts? You want a Big Shot and some dies! Today is the LAST DAY to order and get your things in time for Christmas!!! If someone's still wanting ideas, send them to my business site, and tell them to click on SHOP NOW. Or have them call or email me!!

OK, I'm off to go visit a dear friend for lunch! I can't wait to see her! And spend the day with Kenn - we don't actually DO this much. LOL!!! Have a wonderful day, and be CERTAIN to take the time to STAMP something!! :)

Happy Monday!

Did YOUR weekend fly by??? I know mine did - how on earth can it be Monday again?!?!? :D

Today's sample is from our Christmas stamp camp, super easy. I found the cobalt glass cylinders at Walmart for $3 each. We used the Big Shot - YES! I LOVE MY BIG SHOT, AND I'M PROUD OF IT! :D - and the snowflake dies to cut Stampin' Up!'s white vinyl sheets up; each cylinder has two large snowflakes and two small ones. We just placed them on the cylinder, and voila! A beautiful vase, or candy holder - or candle holder, as I've used mine. :)

And right now, the vinyl sheets are on special!!! Take a look at this awesome special!

Week 10 of the 12 Weeks of Christmas!

Good morning! I'm a little late with this today; I lost a day somewhere this week, and was thinking yesterday that I still had another day to work with. Imagine my chagrin when I woke up to Friday morning! :D

ANYWAY. Here is this week's idea; I hope you enjoy it! Only TWO WEEKS until Christmas, ladies and gentlemen!!!!!! EEK!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd better get busy! :D

Have a WONDERFUL day! And please, take the time to STAMP something!!!!!!!!!

Thursday, December 10, 2009

Happy Thursday! :)

Good morning! (It's still before 12 Central, so I can still say that! :D)

Today's show-n-tell is the IT'S IN THE BAG samples I made. We had a FANTASTIC time at this class this year; last year, we did a couple of these in the IT'S A WRAP class, but this year, I wanted a whole class on bags. There are SO many you can make! :D

The small one is one of our small cello bags with reindeer food in it; it's topped with a Top Note cut from Merry Moments DSP, and "garnished" with Dasher. :D

The next one up is the Fancy Favors die, with a simple topper on it.

The next size is a super-simple bag, the perfect size for gifting some of your beautiful cards and envelopes!

The largest is a bag that's 8"x10"; it takes a bit of doing to get the understanding of it down, but it's really a simple bag!

Be watching for my January schedule - you'll know it as soon as I do. :D

I'm off - lots to do to try to catch up today! Have a WONDERFUL day - and be sure to take the time to STAMP SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

SO, SO sorry!!

Yesterday was a VERY busy day, and I wasn't able to be online more than 5 minutes!!! So, let me show you all the projects from our last class - you've already seen the tags, but this is every project we did in one photo! :)

Now, then. The little wreath is a great package tie-on or ornament; it's made by folding designer series paper! And THERE IS NO ADHESIVE on it!

Ernie the Elf is an AWESOME project I got from Gretchen Barron; she is an AMAZINGLY talented demonstrator who gives lots of tutorials away, and also sells them as kits or just the tutorials. This is one I purchased from her, and it's both VERY reasonably priced AND incredibly detailed. You won't be sorry if you get ANYTHING from Gretchen!

He's actually made to go on the front of a Fancy Favors bag, but we used him to connect to a candy cane - wouldn't a bunch of these be fun under or ON the tree???

The bow is SO fun - you can make a bow to coordinate with almost any color you want, with any of our designer series papers!

I'll be sending out December's newsletter, with January's class schedule, SOON, I hope - with the flood, and the open house, and company, it's not been the December I had thought I'd have! :D All that to say, if you'd like to receive my class schedule, please let me know! :)

OK, I'm off! Our friends go home to Oregon today. :( We've made some wonderful memories, and I will cherish them for a very, very long time. :)

We even STAMPED together! :D Have YOU taken the time to STAMP something??? :) See you tomorrow!

Where is the time flying?!?

Shew, what a BUSY weekend! Those of you who managed to make it to the Open House, THANK YOU for coming - I hope you enjoyed coming as much as we enjoyed hosting you! :)

On with the show!

Do you LOVE our holiday-themed Decor Elements, but don't want to use them for one season, then have to destroy them? Try this!

I LOVE this "Dasher" Decor Element - a level 2 hostess benefti - but I didn't want to have to take him off wherever I put him and have to throw him away!

So, I purchased a cheap poster frame just big enough for him - and I wish I'd kept my eye out for one during garage sale season! :D I threw away the frame part, and we drilled two small holes for the ribbon to feed through.

I cleaned off the acrylic piece and put down the DE. I cut a piece of Polka Dotted Real Red Grosgrain ribbon to hang it with, and tied the knots on the back to hold it in. Then, I tied a pretty bow and cut the ends on the diagonal, and stuck it on Dasher with a pop-up glue dot.

SUPER easy, and I just LOVE him!!!!! Now, he can last until the acrylic breaks into pieces. :D

OK, I'm off to ICE at Gaylord Opryland - the theme is Charlie Brown this year, and I can't wait to see it! :D Lee and Corrine are with us until Wednesday morning, and I plan to enjoy each moment. :)

Have a WONDERFUL day - and don't forget to MAKE the time to stamp SOMEthing - we did! :D

Friday, December 4, 2009

HA! I skipped the Eighth Week - so this is the NINTH Week of Christmas!

Boy, oh boy. I psyched myself out on that one.... :D So here is the project that the Ninth Week of Christmas email is going to tell you all about!

Isn't it about the cutest thing?? :D Would it ever make a GREAT party favor!

Have a WONDERFUL weekend - and if you're in the area, Sunday from 3-5 is our Open House! Just come and ENJOY!!!! I hope I'll get to see you then! :)

Now, go STAMP SOMETHING!!!!! 'Tis the season to be jolly - Christ came so you could have LIFE, and have it more ABUNDANTLY!!!

Thursday, December 3, 2009

Happy Thursday!

This week is all messed up. Today feels like Wednesday - where did my lost day go?!?!

Oh, well. :D Today's share is a card we made at the last Christmas card class trio - and IF I get them done, it's the basis of my personal design. :)

Card stock: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Brushed Silver

Ink: Encore silver metallic

Stamp sets: Christ is Born, Holy Family and Many Merry Messages(inside, see below)

Accessories: Big Shot (YES!!!!!!!! I love that thing! :D), Petals-a-Plenty texturz folder, sponge dauber, embossing buddy, heat tool, silver embossing powder

And this is the inside - I had to show it off, because I impressed myself with it. :D

The Holy Family stamp set is just beautiful - and I enjoyed all three stamps in it! Remember, if you still want anything from the Holiday Mini, you have until bright and early January 4 to make sure you get it!!!

Also, did you know I can offer your family a gift certificate or gift card for either merchandise OR class fees? I'd love to help them out with their gift shopping - just have them call or email me!

OK, I'm off. Our dearest friends from Oregon are here for a week, and we're gonna enjoy every moment! Of course, I may have to drag Corrine into stampin' something with me - so YOU stamp, too! :D PLEASE let me know what you think of this card, and/or if I can be of ANY assistance to you!

Only 22 more days until Christmas! DECK THE HALLS - and REMEMBER THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

Sorry for the late post!

I didn't prep all of this week's blog postings like I have the last two weeks, and of course things exploded yesterday! We have major water damage to two room of the house plus the garage, so things like internet routers, etc., have had to be relocated, and boxes packed, and plans made, and and and! :D

But ON WITH THE SHOW! The show MUST go on... :D Today's is the set of tags we did at our last class, IT'S A WRAP!

I got some of the ideas from another demonstrator, AND my customers paid for the class, so no details today. :) You can probably figure it out, for the most part. This class was a BLAST, and the tags are simply adorable.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me! Now, I'm off to clean our room for our friends who are coming to town! :D Be SURE to take the time to stamp something - I did, today, and can't wait to show it to you Friday!

Tuesday, December 1, 2009

December is here! :D

Only 24 days until Christmas! The excitement's building - I started my Advent calendar this morning. How is it around your house???

Today's share is an easy card, from our last Holiday Quick Card Class!

Card stock: Whisper White, Brilliant Blue

Ink: Brilliant Blue

Stamp sets: Delightful Decorations (only available through the end of the year), Many Merry Messages (Inside)

Accessories: Ornament stamp punch (ONLY available through the end of the year!), silver elastic cord (again, ONLY available through the end of the year), Petals-a-Plenty Texturz folder (yup, you guessed it - ONLY available through the end of the year!), dimensionals

Simple but elegant, I think this was probably the favorite from the class. You could dress it up even more with Dazzling Diamonds glitter, or clear rhinestone brads.

OK, I'm off. It's not started out as the best day, so I'm taking this morning and doing what I want - which MAY include stamping. :D I hope you have a WONDERFUL December 1 - and take the time to stamp something, too!

Monday, November 30, 2009

Good grief!! :D

I can't believe how time flies when you have entirely too much to do. LOL! Here it is, Monday morning after a holiday, and my week is totally snowballing - I'm baking all day today and tomorrow, friends arrive Wednesday, and the Christmas Open House is Sunday!!! If you're in the Middle Tennessee area, I really hope you'll stop by. It's Sunday afternoon, from 3-5 - it's a just-drop-in kind of thing. Most of our friends make it a must-do annual event now. :D COME HUNGRY. :D

OK. Today's show is from October's Scrapbooking class!

I hate my scanner, but there you go. :::sigh::: Anyway; the Real Red border does, indeed, finish off the right-hand side as well. :)

Card stock: Real Red, Whisper White

Stamp set: Christmas Punch (Level 2 hostess-only stamp set! Book your party, or place your BIG order today! :D There are some great specials....)

Accessories: Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker, large oval punch, dimensionals, paper snips, Cocoa Specialty Paper

Using a specialty DSP like this one makes pages SO easy - this is a 6"x6" layout, so I cut my 12" square into four pieces, and used the big flocked medallion as one of the pages. I think it's BEAUTIFUL! :D

OK, I'm off to finishe the batch of chocolate chip cookies I just started and walked away from. :D Have a wonderful day - and be SURE to take the time to stamp something! :D

Friday, November 27, 2009

Happy Ninth Week of Christmas!

Is time FLYING, or is it just me?!?!? With Thanksgiving this late again, it's only four short weeks until Christmas Day! I hope the emails are helping you get some great ideas!

This one is actually my mom's suggestion - and it turned out so awesome! LOL!

Have a WONDERFUL weekend! I'm SO grateful for YOU!!! :)

Time to start baking for next Sunday's Christmas Open House! But I'll be taking the time to stamp something - I hope you will, too! :)

Thursday, November 26, 2009

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!

I hope your day is blessed beyond measure! I am SO grateful for each and every one of you; thank you for allowing me to share a few moments of your life each day. You are the reason I do what I do!

Now, then. For the FIRST person who tells me what's wrong with this card, I will send a little gift. :D

:D If you want to know the recipe, leave me a comment. Otherwise, I'll leave you to enjoy my MASTERPIECE. LOL!!

HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!! COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!!!!!!

Wednesday, November 25, 2009

Yes, it's the day before Thanksgiving...

but I'm showing you something for Christmas. SHOCK, huh. :D I promise, tomorrow is a Thanksgiving something - and a little contest for some lucky early bird! But that's tomorrow. :D

Here's today's share!

It's a tea towel that we stamped with craft inks, then heat set to make permanent! You could give this one as a gift - the tea towel as a tea towel, or use it as a basket liner. Right now, it's draped over a display like a shelp runner in the Inspiration Station! :) The tea towels are VERY inexpensive. I used the snowflake from BERRY CHRISTMAS and the "Season's Greetings" from MANY MERRY MESSAGES. The snowflakes WOULD have been one of our beautiful blues, if I'd thought ahead enough. But I didn't, so they're Chocolate Chip. :D
The words are in Real Red craft ink. After we stamped all the way around, we flipped the towel over and ironed on the back side with a hot, dry iron to set the ink. SUPER easy, great gift, and fun to do! What MORE could you ask as a day-before-Thanksgiving idea? :D

Have a WONDERFUL day! I hope you're taking time to ENJOY yourself! Are you stamping your placecards for the table? Me, either. :D It's all I can do to find a CHAIR for everyone who will be here! LOL! BE BLESSED!

Tuesday already?!?

Time is FLYING! So, straight to the show - I know you're busy, too! :D

Ink: Green Galore, Real Red

Stamp sets: Berry Christmas, Many Merry Messages (inside)

Now, on with the show - I've got to figure out what I want to show you this week for the TWELVE WEEKS OF CHRISTMAS!!! :D

This was one of our CHRISTMAS CARD CLASS TRIO cards. Everyone just LOVES Dasher; if you haven't purchased him, or are wondering where on earth we found him, look at the last page of your Idea Book! It's a "$10 or less!" page, and he's SO worth it! His item number is 116816, if you want to order him. :)

Card stock: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Real Red

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Stamp sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes ("Merry Christmas"), Dasher, Many Merry Messages (inside)

Accessories: Real Red Stampin' Write Marker, Real Red Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, Merry Moments DSP, Stampin' Dimensionals

Super easy, great classic Christmas card. :)

Week SEVEN of the Twelve Weeks of Christmas!

I think. Or is it the eighth? LOL!

ANYWAY. This week's item uses MY DIGITAL STUDIO, but it's EASILY convertible to using stamps and ink - and I change my themes on the clock in the studio often! :D

It was a LOT of fun to do this project, and it's really cool in real life.

Enjoy the email! :) If you have questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Enjoy your weekend! Christmas is coming FAST - I hope you're looking forward to Thanksgiving with your family! :) But don't forget to take the time to STAMP something, too...!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here!

I spent a lot of the day yesterday decorating our den. It looks AWESOME! I still have some stuff to do in our bedroom, and a bit in the hallway - but I stopped in the afternoon. I can only "fluff" so many trees in one day! :D

ANYWAY. Today's share is a no-layer Christmas card, very simple and unusual, IMHO... :D

This is a card we did at two of the parties here last week. SO super-easy, and I think it encouraged everyone to think outside the box a bit!

Card stock: Whisper White

Ink: Real Red, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip

Stamp sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Medallion, Many Merry Messages (inside)

Accessories: Stampin' Sponge, Dauber

One of the girls told me that she's pretty sure this will be some of her Christmas card design this year; her son is at the age where he won't leave her alone! :D (I'm thinking he's about 18 months, but I'm probably a little young on my guesstimate. LOL!)

There are several things you could do to dress this up or down - but I love sharing cards at parties that are SIP! That's stamps, ink, and paper! :D

OK, time to go get started on tomorrow's TWELVE WEEKS email! :) Have a WONDERFUL day - and PLEASE, take the time to stamp something! :) (P.S. Thank you to those brave women who leave me comments!!! I so appreciate you! :D)

It's WEDNESDAY!

Good morning! How are you today? Are you having a good week? I really hope so! :)

Today's share is a box I did with two party groups last week. It's a really cute box - I hope you think so, too. ;D

Card stock: Brocade Blue, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Basic Black

Ink: Whisper White Craft, Brocade Blue

Stamp set: Christmas Punch (Level 2 Hostess-Only Set!)

Accessories: 1/2" circle punch, 3/4" circle punch, 1" circle punch, curly label punch, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, embossing buddy, heat tool, snowflake punch, Basic Black and Dusty Durango Stampin' Write Markers, dimensionals, Big Shot (All together, now: I LOVE MY BIG SHOT!!!!!!!!!! :D), box#2 die, Extended cutting pads

I've got to tell you: I love this box die. It's SO versatile! It's fun to add punch art to ANYTHING, and what better than a snowman? :D (I love snowmen, in case you were wondering.... :D)

OK. Time to get to work! I hope you have a WONDERFUL day, and that you'll take the time to STAMP SOMETHING - and perhaps leave me a comment. I'm lonely again! :D

Hit-n-Run Post! :D

BUSY day! It's the last day of my Bible study, and tonight is our Designer Gift Box & Cards class. Phew! :)

Today's share is neither fall OR Christmas - it's SPRING! :D

It's a 2-page 6"x6" scrapbook layout from last month's class. All punches and Big Shot dies, no stamping! But SO fun!

The center of the daisy is done with the 1-3/4" circle punch, punched on a square corner so we didn't have to cut it. :D The petals are the large oval punch.

The scallop circles and the butterfly are both dies with the Big Shot - soooooo easy, and the page is DONE. The hardest part for me was making sure the lines ran the correct way on the butterfly DSP! LOL! It's meant to journal on, but it's a cute page embellishment anyway!

OK, I'm off! Lots of stampin' going on here - I hope you're taking the time to STAMP SOMETHING, too!!

Monday, November 16, 2009

Oh, goodness, it IS Monday again, isn't it! :D

So sorry I didn't get to you first thing this morning - it's been an interesting day! Kenn started home, but had a few difficulties with SNOW, so he's going to stay one more day and then come home the more southern route. :)

ANYWAY. I'm sure some of you couldn't care less about my personal life! LOL! On with the show!

Isn't he cute?!?! It's a gingerbear! :D We put two together, mirror-image of each other, so that the hands could remain open to hold a gift. The brads have been dipped in Real Red craft ink, then into clear embossing powder and heated. The "rickrack" at his cuffs is made with the scallop edge punch; the one at his neck is, of course, the scallop circle punch.

If you haven't gotten the Build-a-Bear dies yet, or even one of the stamp sets from the Holiday Mini, what are you waiting for??? :) Even if you ONLY get the die to run through your Big Shot - don't you LOVE your Big Shot?? I do! :D - it's REALLY fun and versatile! I bet you'll find LOTS of things to do with it! Let me know when you do, so I can OOOH and AAAH with you! :D

OK, gotta jet. We're getting ready for the Thanksgiving mob, PLUS I still ahve two more classes to do! :D Be SURE and take the time to STAMP SOMETHING - especially for a GIFT! :)

Week 7 of the Twelve Weeks of Christmas!

Good Friday Morning! Have you been watching my countdown Christmas tree in the right-hand margin of this page?!?! It's only 42 days until Christmas!

This week, I had a lot of fun with designing this card to share with you. :) I hope you enjoy the email, telling all about it!

Have a WONDERFUL weekend! I hope you take some time to plan - Christmas WILL be here, faster than you think! :D Ho, ho, ho!!!

And, of course, take the time to STAMP SOMETHING! :D See you Monday!

Thursday already!

Goodness, the week is flying by! I hope you're having a GREAT one! Two weeks from TODAY is Thanksgiving, and then it's just a few weeks until Christmas! Tomorrow is Week SEVEN of our Twelve Weeks! It's coming closer and closer!

Today's share is another scrapbook 6x6 layout; it would be very easy to convert into either a 8.5"x11" OR a 12"x12" layout.
Card stock: Old Olive, Ruby Red, Very Vanilla

Ink: Old Olive and Ruby Red Stampin' Write Markers

Stamp set: Autumn Days

I really enjoyed doing this layout; there's something very peaceful about the color combination and the stamp we used.

OK, I'm off to work on tomorrow's project! I hope you have a WONDERFUL day - and please, for YOUR sake, take the time to STAMP SOMETHING! :D

Santa's Comin' to Town!

It's Wednesday! How's your week going? Are you enjoying what you're doing? I hope so, since you're currently reading my blog.... LOL!!

Today's share is from the Christmas Stamp Camp last month. We had a GREAT time, and this was THE hit!

He is shamelessly CASEd from Carrie's blog!! The moment I saw him on her blog, I KNEW we were going to do them for the stamp camp! I just LOVE him!

She gives you great instructions on her blog, so be sure to visit - and let her know how cute he is! :D

The ric-rac? You make it with your scallop edge punch. We used that for another project, too, so you'll be seeing it soon. :)

Have a WONDERFUL day - and take the time to STAMP something! Try one of these Santas! Don't have the matchbox die? I can help! :D Go here, and click on SHOP NOW; it's the matchbox die, exclusive to SU!

Altered Gift Card Tin

Good morning! :) I hope you're having a great week so far, getting lots accomplished and loving life!

I promised I'd blog about the second Hostess Appreciation Luncheon project today, so here it is.

Something I forgot to mention is that, at the luncheon, we do projects I will NOT teach anywhere else. So, the templates for the table favors, the organization idea, and the fun project - we won't do them ANYWHERE ELSE, ever. They're exclusive to my luncheon! :)

OK. So, this is the outside of the tin. When you open it, it looks like this:

Pretty cool, huh!

The tins are ones that Stampin' Up! has in the clearance section; you can go here and click on SHOP NOW, then on the clearance link on the left side of that page! The tins are 99 cents, only while supplies last - and be sure you shop around a bit, because you don't want to get bitten with the shipping! :)

OK. The designer series paper around the outside of the tin is the Cocoa Specialty Paper from the HOLIDAY MINI. It's AWESOME paper!!!! It's also tied with our Real Red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.

The inside is Soft Suede (IN COLOR) and Real Red card stock, with Whisper White ribbon, craft ink and white embossing powder. The stamps on the left side are from MANY MERRY MESSAGES, and the one on the gift card holder is from CHRISTMAS PUNCH, the Level 2 Hostess-Only set this year that seems to be the most popular! (We use it ALL the time around here!!)

Besides the Embossing Buddy and heat tool, the only other things we used were the corner rounder and slit punch. Well, adhesive and a stapler, but that's it! It's an easy project, very WOW - and easy to pass along every Christmas! :D

OK, that's it for today! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me! ;) And be sure to take the time to STAMP SOMETHING!!!

Hostess Appreciation Luncheon

Good morning! :) How are you??? Did you have a good weekend? I did, but BOY, was it busy! And this week - well, I'm committed to enjoying every moment of the busyness, and then rejoicing when it's over. :D

But today, I want to share some details from the Hostess Appreciation Luncheon with you. If you've never attended, it's really easy to get your invitation! All you have to do is be a hostess. You are encouraged to have your party here - so you don't have to clean up, and I don't have to pack! :D - but there are all SORTS of ways to host a party! Contact me to set yours up - the slate has been wiped clean, and the next party is in October 2010! :D

OK, on with the share. :)

(Sheesh! This thing is taking forever - too much going on! LOL!)

SO! LOTS of preparation for this, every year - I treat my hostesses right. :D I make lunch from scratch; this year, it was a full turkey dinner. On the menu:
--turkey (DUH! :D)
--dressing
--mashed potatoes
--gravy
--peas
--squash
--cranberry salad
--corn spoon bread
--Ooey Gooey Caramel Cake

With my going to Chattanooga the day before for Stampin' Up! Half-Day Regional Conference, everything was planned down to the MINUTE in order to get everything done. :)

The little box in the bottom right corner was the table favor; I do a different one each year, and the hostesses get a copy of the template to take home.

We do two projects, also, at each Hostess Appreciation Luncheon; one is for organization of some type. The flip book on the top left corner is a Punch Template Book - I made the curly labels with MY DIGITAL STUDIO, and we punched them out with the punch! We punched all 42 punches, and put labels with them. That way, if there's a certain project someone wants to do, they can see if they have the punch and if it will fit the project.

The second project I will blog tomorrow. :) It was a lot of fun, and very quick and easy.

I think everyone had a good time; I appreciated the time to chat with everyone, even though I was extremely tired! LOL!

I hope you'll talk to me about hosting your party soon; don't forget that Sale-a-Bration is coming up right after the holidays, and there's never a better time to host!!!

Have a WONDERFUL day, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP SOMETHING - I am!! :D

Week SIX of the Twelve Weeks of Christmas!

Wow, it's REALLY going fast, folks! We are halfway through the Twelve Weeks! I hope you're getting excited and inspired to do your Christmas crafting!! :)

Here is today's idea for you: they're ceramic magnets.

If you're NOT a demonstrator, and you'd like to receive the instructions on how to make these, please email me at poohisstampin@aol.com! :)

I'm off - it's a BUSY weekend around here, with a Quick Card Class Saturday morning, a party Sunday afternoon, and HOME & HEARTH class Monday night. Phew! :D

Have a WONDERFUL weekend - and be sure to take the time to STAMP SOMETHING!

Is it really Thursday already?

Wow. The week is FLYING by. I'm so glad you stopped by - think about leaving me a comment, would you? I feel like I'm talking to air again. :D

OK! Today's sample is from last month's Christmas Card Class Trio!

Card stock: Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Melon Mambo

Ink: Bashful Blue

Stamp set: Christmas Punch, Many Merry Messages (inside)

Accessories: Big Shot (:D You know what to say; say it with me: I LOVE MY BIG SHOT!), snowflake die, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter, ticket corner punch, dimensionals, silver elastic cord, packing tape

This is really sparkly in real life, VERY pretty! I think the consensus was that you'd have to REALLY like the person to give them this card, however, because of making the glitter window. :D

OK, I'm off! I hope you're having a wonderful week - and making SURE to take the time to STAMP SOMETHING!

Happy Wednesday!

It's the middle of the week already! Can you believe it? I hope you're having a great day - and enjoying your November. Where DOES the time go???

Just so you know, if I get a little shorter in posting for a bit, it's because we're having TONS of people for Thanksgiving, and four days after they leave, some of our best friends will be here - and they'll be here during the Christmas Open House, so those of you who get to come will also get to meet them! THEN, my sister and BIL will be here for Christmas! It's going to be a BUSY holiday season in REAL life - but I'm still planning on being with YOU, because you're WONDERFUL, too! :D

On with the show. :D This is from our Christmas Stamp Camp last month.

Don't forget! You can click on any picture to make it bigger! :) This is an ornament we made using the Treat Cups. They're fun to work with!

Card stock: Whisper White

Ink: Jet Black Stazon

Stamp set: The More the Merrier (Level 3 hostess-only set!)

Accessories: Silver elastic cord, assorted Stampin' Write markers, TWO Treat Cups (it's double-sided!), a box of snowflake, star, and 3D snowflake glitter I found at a garage sale, Tombow Multi adhesive.

SO cute, so easy, and FUN. :) I hope you enjoy it! Now, GO. Make the time to STAMP SOMETHING! :D

What a GLORIOUS day!

Can you believe how beautiful it is? Even if the weather's a bit gloomy wherever you are, I bet it's beautiful! :D

This week's postings will be a little shorter than usual (I think); I'm getting them all ready at the beginning of the week, so I don't have to worry about getting them up while I'm out of town. I'm really planning on relaxing! (That is, if I can figure out what that means....:D)

So! On with the show! Today's sample is from October's scrapbooking class - and it's perfect for this time of year.

You thought I meant CHRISTMAS, didn't you. :D Not this time! I meant FALL. I'm sure we all have photos that don't really have much of a theme, but they're shots you love. Try this kind of approach - you can mat or not, crop or not - anything goes!

Card stock: Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink: Sahara Sand, Real Red, Real Red Craft

Stamp sets: Autumn Splendor, Autumn Days

Accessories: Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware, clear embossing powder, heat tool

See? Super-simple, and super cute. :D

OK, I'm off! I'm probably NOT stampin' something at this moment, but I MIGHT be thinking about it! :D So, YOU make sure to STAMP SOMETHING!! :D

Challenge for Late Night Stampers!

Good Monday morning! Did you have a good weekend? Are you ready for this week? Me, either. LOL! But GOD is good - so let's get to STAMPIN'!

The group Late Night Stampers does weekly challenges, among other things. Last week, the challenge was to use your favorite candy bar as inspiration for your project. Favorite? You gotta be KIDDING - my fave changes with my mood! :D But I do have a soft spot for TWIX - so that's what I chose.

Card stock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Real Red, Brushed Gold

Ink: Encore Gold, Chocolate Chip (inside)

Stamp sets: Christ is Born, Many Merry Messages (inside)

Accessories: Big Shot - I LOVE MY BIG SHOT!!!!!!!!!!! :D, Petals-a-Plenty Texturz embossing folder, ticket corner punch, dimensionals, gold embossing powder, embossing buddy, heat tool

This card goes together QUICKLY - the longest time involved is waiting for the heat tool to melt all the embossing powder! I LOVE the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder; it's SO pretty! I've got lots of things to show you with it in the next few weeks - it's ONLY available in the Holiday Mini, so grab yours before the end of the year!

OK, I'm off - trying to get everything done in the next 36 hours, so I can go to Chattanooga with a certain hunk.... :D Have a wonderful day! Don't forget to take the time to STAMP SOMETHING!

Week FIVE of the Twelve Weeks of Christmas!

Where HAS the time gone?!?!? Do you realize we only have 57 days left until Christmas?!?!? Time is FLYING, everyone - don't be caught in the cold! :D Start getting things done NOW, so you can ENJOY Christmas!

But enough about that. For today's 12 Weeks email, I took it easy - after last week, can you blame me?? :D It's a scrapbook page; although I did it with MY DIGITAL STUDIO, if you have the CHRISTMAS JINGLE Simply Scrappin' Kit, you could EASILY make a very similar page!

OK, I'm OFF! Have a WONDERFUL weekend, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP SOMETHING - and have one less thing to think about for Christmas prep! :D

Another advanced technique card!

Hi, all! :) Yup, they're all mixed up this week - and I'm trying to blog one and only one project per day for a while, so that I can still have time to breathe in December AND show you new things. :D It's CRAZY busy around here, and today Mom and I are off on an adventure together, to get our hair cut and go out to lunch. Phew. :D

But here's today's sample!

Again, it's from TECHNIQUE JUNKIES - and please tell Pat I sent you! :D She's AWESOME!!!

Recipe as follows:

Card stock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Always Artichoke, Real Red

Ink: Real Red, Versamark, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke

Stamp sets: Pendant Park, Define Your Life

And that's all you're getting - I'm not going to take Pat's livelihood away! :D Signing up with TECHNIQUE JUNKIES is definitely worth it!

OK, I'm off now - so much to do, so little time to do it in! :D Have a WONDERFUL day, and PLEASE! For your sake, and mine, TAKE THE TIME TO STAMP SOMETHING! :D

Can you believe it?!?!

We're closing in on Christmas REALLY fast! Have you started your Christmas cards yet? :D It's beginning to look a LOT like Christmas around here, with all the classes we've been doing - and will cram into November. :D There's a lot going on!

This is one of the cards for my Christmas Card Class Trio; I hope you enjoy it!

I really love monochromatic cards, and there's nothing more elegant (in my humble opinion :D) than gold and white.

Card stock: Whisper White, Brushed Gold

Ink: Encore Gold

Stamp set: Holy Family, Many Merry Messages

Accessories: gold embossing powder, heat tool, embossing buddy, corner rounder punch

Super-easy, although a LITTLE labor-intensive to do all the embossing - it's embossed INSIDE, too. :D What can I say? I can't help myself! LOL!

OK. I'm off to try and stay ahead of the game. :D Have a WONDERFUL day - and please, take the time to STAMP SOMETHING!!!!

Top Note Die Box Tutorial Available!

Please note: I'm going to try to keep this one at the top for a while. :) Just scroll down below for the newest post!

It's DONE - and it's now available to you! :)

This is the tutorial for these awesome Top Note Die boxes - I'll be the first to tell you I didn't create the idea! The tutorial is mine, though, all 12 pages - there are LOTS of pictures!

You have four options - until someone can think of one more option to suggest to me. :D

The first is the tutorial ONLY. It comes in TWO PDF files - it was too big to send all at once. As soon as I get notified by Paypal (which happens only when I'm HERE, on the computer!), I'll send you both files. It's got all my contact information on it, so you can call or email if you have questions. The cost for the file ONLY is $5.

The second is a DVD with the tutorial on it. It will be mailed to you; the additional cost is for packaging and mailing. It's $7.50.

The third choice is a KIT. There are two options for the box topper, and I will include the materials for BOTH options. PLEASE NOTE: you probably won't receive any particular Designer Series Paper - it takes just a bit over one piece of DSP for each box, so that means finishing a package completely before repeating the choice! :) I will send you the PRE-CUT pieces and the tutorial; the tutorial will come via email, the same as the first option - the same day I mail out your kit. The cost for this kit with the tutorial is $20.

The fourth choice is the KIT WITH DVD. The cost for this is $22.50; the DVD will be packaged in an envelope.

Thank you so much for all your interest in this idea! :) As I said in a few of my previous posts, I'll be doing this with a few classes throughout the year. It's just not fair to the people who pay to come to the classes for me to give the instructions away - so this is an inexpensive way for you to get the directions, WITH photos! :D

Have a WONDERFUL day! And don't forget to go STAMP SOMETHING!
