Guess who?!?!

Well, dear friends, I know it's been a VERY long time. Time and events have conspired against me! :D But I hope I'm back every now and then, now - just got a new computer, and trying to blog without having my email available at the same time is a PAIN. :D

ANYWAY. This is a card I made for a color challenge a week or so ago, but because of trying to figure out the email/blogger thing, never got to enter. :D
The challenge was with Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, and Soft Suede. (I'm sorry it doesn't have the copyright on it; I don't have that software back on my computer yet!!!

I really like the way this card turned out. It's definitely not a color combination I would have chosen, but I think it really works. :)

If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact me! I look forward to sharing a little bit more! (You may have to prompt me; time is different for me now...)

Have a great day!! Take the time to stamp something! ♥

LABEL ME PRETTY - Card AND challenge! :D

We made it!!! :D It's FRIDAY!

Today's card is for another challenge - by the Paper Craft Crew. It was "Butterflies andDragonflies", using either one. I decided to go REALLY bold! :)

I used three different stamps from the Label Me Pretty stamp set, as well as the punch. Overachiever! :D Seriously, though, it's REALLY easy. The most difficult part? Poking all the pieces of the butterfly die out!

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Black Momento
Card Stock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Basic Black, Vellum Cardstock
Additional: Sponge Dauber, Black EP, Heat Tool, Butterflies Thinlits, Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals, Multi Purpose Glue

See?!??! It really doesn't get much simpler. My mom loved both cards this week - she adores anything YELLOW. :D

So, I'm outta here!!! I have a wedding to attend! Have a wonderful, fun weekend, and be sure to take a little time to stamp something! :)

Carols of Christmas Preview - Take 2!

Good morning! I promised I'd continue with the samples; this is one I did because I already had the stars cut from gold foil and Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I wanted to show that the Card Front Builder Thinlits could be used easily with other things - and I wanted a simple card to show off the complexity of that gold star cut. I really love how CLEAN this design is.

Card stock: Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink: Versamark
Stamp set: Star of Light
Accessories: Starlight Thinlits, Card Front Builder Thinlits, Big Shot, White embossing powder, Heat Tool, Embossing Buddy, Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper, Gold foil sheets, SNAIL, Mini Dimensionals

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!!! And make sure to take the time to stamp SOMETHING! :D

Holiday Mini Coming Soon!

Hi, everyone! YES, I know it's been a long time since I blogged. Turns out, I've been getting really ill for a while. I'm feeling better, and it's almost my favorite time of the year - so I'm going to try to blog a little more often. :D

As a matter of fact, my goal for this week is to get 3 posts up - all because it's the Holiday Mini preview! YOU can purchase a tiny taste of the new Mini!

Stampin' Up!® has made a video to show you a little more about this bundle...

It's a REALLY fun bundle....

And the possibilities are endless. I have, however, managed to come up with three different samples to show you. this first one is completely this bundle; be SURE and come back the rest of this week to find new samples!

Card stock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Garden Green, Soft Suede
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Stamp set: Carols of Christmas
Accessories: Card Front Builder Thinlit Dies, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Embossing Paste, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, SNAIL, Mini Dimensionals

It's so very, very easy to make a beautiful card with just a few things! :) I had to do the embossing paste - I've been watching some other demos demonstrate via video some different little things, and I love the texture and sparkle this added.

Next up: mixing up thinlits to make another beautiful, simple card! Stay tuned - and be sure to make the time to STAMP something! :D

Valentine's Berry Basket

Surprise! :) I'm back again this week!

I was going to save this for next week, but if you ordered NOW, depending on where you're located, you might be able to get the supplies for this in time to make favors for Valentine's Day - which is a week from Sunday. Plus, it's SALE-A-BRATION - get something FREE for every $50 you spend!

There's NO STAMPING on this basket. It's all paper! After I cut the berry basket, I embossed it with the large dot folder. The Real Red I cut at the same time as the Whisper White - the whole thing went together quite quickly!

For card stock and filling, I'm guessing this cost me less than 75 cents to make! It's not too big; if you want to make it sturdier, you can cut some press board (or an old cereal box!) into a 2.5" square to put between the layers of the berry basket.

OK, y'all, I'm outta here. I'm going to TRY to post once a week for a while, things that are exclusive to my blog. :) Have a wonderful week - and be sure to make the time to STAMP something!

It's SALE-A-BRATION!!

First of all, HI!!!! I know I haven't posted in a LONG time; I'm having a few health challenges, and I'm not stamping a whole lot - but I'm still doing it when I can! :)

We still have a hostess club going; if you'd like to join us, or start your own, please just contact me!

This is one of the free stamp sets you can get with your $50 purchase - and many more things, that you can get free with each $50 you spend! You can go here and learn more, see the Sale-a-Bration information, and see the new Occasions Mini, too!
I LOVE this little bird stamp!!!!!! As soon as I saw him, I knew I had to have him. :) He's part of the set of HONEYCOMB HAPPINESS.

We did this little yellow one for our hostess club; I just LOVE it!!!! (Colors are Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White)

And the little bluebird!!!!!! I KNOW anyone opening an envelope and pulling him out would HAVE to smile. :) (Color are Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Calypso Coral, Whisper White)

OK, I'm outta here!!! Be sure and make the time to stamp SOMEthing, chicadees! :D

Butterfly Framelit from 2015 Occasions Mini!

Happy Wednesday - yes, it's night, but it's still Wednesday. :)

Happy Birthday, Donna! :)

This is one of our projects from last night's Hostess Club get-together; if you're interested in being a hostess, please contact me NOW!!!! We used the largest butterfly in the new selection in the Occasions Mini; isn't he gorgeous?

The blocks on the background are the clear block A, inked in Wild Wasabi. The saying is from one of the free sets - LOTUS BLOSSOM - in the Sale-A-Bration Mini. :) The colors are So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, and Wild Wasabi - as well as Whisper White, but I suspect you knew that. :) The words of the stamp are heat embossed with Tangerine Tango embossing powder.

We loved this card! It's quick, and spring-ish, and easy!

OK, I'm outta here! Have a wonderful day - and be sure to stamp SOMEthing! :)

Masculline Birthday Card

Happy Friday! You made it through the week! Congratulations! :)

This is one of the cards that our hostess club did last month; masculine cards can be quite the challenge, and I really like how this one turned out. I think a few of the girls thought it was more along the lines of a patriotic card, but my dad loves red, so it would be perfect for him. :)

The greeting is from the Wetlands stamp set; I really like the greetings in it, and they're very useful! :)

The designer series paper is Maritime; I love the bold stripe on this paper!

The last thing I want to mention is this new embossing folder, Stylish Stripes. I'm on my second folder - I've use it SO MANY TIMES already!!! (Including 8 dozen thank-you notes for a friend!)

OK, folks, I'm outta here! Have a great weekend, and make sure to make the time to stamp SOMEthing! :D

Blendabilities

Welcome to Wednesday! Are you having a good week? I really hope so! :)

I wanted to bring your attention to a couple of things; first, there's a big special going on this month; if you go to the Promotions section on my business site (just click on the underlined part of the sentence! :D ) and take a look at the Big Shot bundles you can get for free or for 15% off!

OK. :) The second thing is: we now have BLENDABILITIES, and alcohol-based marker in some of OUR COLORS! I've only got this set, Cherry Cobbler, and have JUST gotten around to playing a little bit. Wow, are they EASY to use and FUN! :) I don't know if you've noticed, but I LOVE Cherry Cobbler. It's a wonderful color!

I've decided I'm going to be getting one more color set each time I order something from now on, and slowly build them up. I also want to get the color lifter, but I did this teapot without it! :) As I get more colors, I'll add color to this image. :) I'll be sure and post as soon as I can order and receive another set. You never know when you'll see it again. :D And YES, all the colors in the IBC are now available to you!

OK, I'm outta here. I hope you have a wonderful day! Be sure and make the time to STAMP something!

Wow! I'm Famous! :D

Happy Friday! Sorry I'm late - better late than never, right? :D I found out today that the card I posted on Wednesday made it onto Pinterest! :) How cool is that?!?!? Thank you to whomever Pinned it first! :D

OK, so let me give you one for today. :D

This one is an Easter card; we used BACKYARD BASICS (I bundled! :D ) for the flower and its die cut, and used the butterfly from the set stamped in Versamark and embossed with clear EP inside, along with the "Happy Easter" stamp from TEENY TINY WISHES.

That's the scallop edge punch; I like the little touch it adds. And we used cling wrap to put on sliver Encore ink and white craft ink as the background. Someone asked me if the technique had a name; to be honest, I discovered it by myself when I first started stamping many years ago, and I have no CLUE. :D

We embossed that flower with silver embossing powder, and colored it in with various Stampin' Write markers. Easy and spring-y! :) What do you think of it?

OK, I'm outta here! :) Have a WONDERFUL weekend, and be sure to make the time to stamp SOMEthing!

Happy Birthday Banner Card

Hi! Happy Wednesday! I hope you're having a great week - it's been beautiful here the last couple of days; I hope you're thawing out, if you've been getting hit with snow all winter. :)

I wanted to play around with a couple of things for this card. First, it's on Soft Sky as a base. I used Pool Party ink on the inside of my Perfect Polkadot embossing folder to give that layer a mottled look. Then there's a layer of Wild Wasabi; I stamped the sea horse and the bushy plant from BY THE TIDE, embossed the sea horse with Wild Wasabi, then rubbed some WW ink onto and around him, to highlight him a little bit. I took that strip and spritzed it with some homemade Frost White spritz, to give it a little irridescence. Finally, I stamped the "happy birthday" banner from ITTY BITTY BANNERS and embossed it with silver and cut it out with the framelit that matches, and mounted it on front with Dimensionals.

Isn't it pretty?!? :) I think I did this one when it was cold out and I was missing the ocean. :D

OK, I'm outta here! Have a wonderful day! Be sure to stamp something! :)

New Toy - er, ummm, TOOL! :D

Hi, everyone! Sorry this didn't get scheduled; we only have one card reader for our computers right now, and since Kenn's the one WORKING his photos, I have to wait until he's done. :D Hopefully we'll get that taken care of soon.

Now, then. It's FRIDAY! I hope you've got plans to ENJOY your weekend. :)

Stampin' Up!, you may remember, had a few of the Texture Boutique machines last year that sold out in about a week. That was enough to make them decide to start carrying them all the time! :D It's about 1/3 of the size of the Big Shot - isn't it cute???

ALL it does is embossing. So, I chose this card to show off how easy it is. :)

You make the sandwich just the same, using the thin pads that come with the TB; if you're only embossing 1 layer of card stock, it comes with a shim, also. I chose six different embossing folders, and made my card into a 5x7 - it makes figuring out the square size so much easier. :D

I'm on a Tempting Turquoise kick right now; here's the card (I found on Pinterest!) that I based mine on. It's totally cased. :D But it's not Rose Red. :) I'm not crazy about this BIG of a card, because that's a LOT of room to fill on the inside, even if I do stamp a saying and a border. :D

OK, I'm outta here! Have a WONDERFUL weekend, and be sure to make the time to STAMP something!!!

I know, I'm late again! :D

Happy SATURDAY! :D I know, I'm late again. I'm sorry. I just had a really hard time making myself do ANYTHING yesterday. :D

SO. This is a really cool little basket that my hostesses did with the new envelope punch board! Isn't it cute?!?! There are SO many things out there that have been designed with it; I didn't show them another envelope, because I wanted to show the versatility of the tool. :D

Wow, do I keep getting distracted from posting this! Sheesh!

Anyway. The tutorial for how to do this came from a demonstrator in the UK, Sam Donald, and you can find it on her blog.

Now, because mine's made with Rose Red card stock, we did cut tabs and stick them down instead of just folding in the corners like she did - DSP is a lot more bendable! :) That's the new spiral flower die from the Occasions Mini; we cut it from vellum. It's a fun box, and got voted as the best project of the night because of the way it showed the versatility of the envelope punch board. :)

OK, I'm outta here. SO busy today, and a fun date night planned tonight. :) Have a wonderful weekend! Be SURE to make the time to stamp something! :)

Sympathy

Happy Wednesday!! Are you staying safe and warm?? I really hope that you are. What a mess the deep South is in - hoping they're starting to thaw out and sort everything out now.

Today's share is a card we did Monday night with our hostess club. Not everyone chose to put the "with sympathy" from TEENY TINY WISHES or the verse inside, because they wanted to use it for another purpose. But that's OK! :)

The flower is from FABULOUS FLORETS, and the designer paper is Modern Medley. The cuts are with the Labels Framelits. I'm really happy with the way this card turned out! :)

OK, I'm outta here. :) Have a wonderful day, and be sure to take the time to stamp something!

Is it too early for Easter?

Welcome to Wednesday. :) It's COLD here in Middle Tennessee - it's 17, but the wind chill is making it feel more like 7!!!! The weather's a little schizophrenic, but it's definitely JANUARY, which is nice. :D

So, this is the second project I did with the women's group in Smyrna. I really love this one!

I earned a freebie toward the end of the year last year, and wanted to get something that was as opposite from Christmas as I could find. :D So I went with BACKYARD BASICS - and got the bundle, so I got the framelits and the wood stamp set. I love earning free stuff! :)

(Don't forget! If you want to purchase from me and make sure we both get the credit we deserve, go to my business site and then click on SHOP, on the top right-hand corner! :) )

We stamped the butterfly all over a Soft Sky card base with Soft Sky ink, and a Whisper White insert on the inside had the butterfly all the way around the edge. Then we stamped the tulip onto Whisper White with Versamark, and embossed with black embossing powder. Next, we colored with Wild Wasabi and Pink Pirouette Stampin' Write markers; the next step was to cut out the tulip with its framelit. We put it on the card front with Dimensionals.

The final step was to stamp the "Happy Easter" with Versamark - again on Whisper White - and emboss with silver EP. We punched it out with the modern label punch, and put it over the tulip stem with Dimensionals.

It is SO springy! :) I love tulips, and I thought this card was simply beautiful. :) If I do say so myself...

OK, I'm outta here! I hope you have a wonderful day - and that you make sure it includes some stamping. ;)

Valentine's Day Treat

Happy Friday! :)

Last night, I was able to bless a women's group in Smyrna with providing the activity for their monthly meeting. We had great fun, and this was one of the two projects we did - there are Valentine's M&Ms inside this little fold-over!

We used Chocolate Chip card stock as the base; since I knew there would be non-stampers there, I wanted to keep the project pretty simple. :) So we used the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder to put the lovely dots into the card stock. We used the designer label punch and some red glitter paper - LOVE that stuff! - for the back of the medallion. The "I think you're lovely" is from the upcoming SALE-A-BRATION brochure! Yes, this stamp set was FREE! :D You can earn it, beginning the end of this month, with just a $50 purchase - and it's a great stamp set.

OK. We stamped that in Chocolate Chip ink onto Whisper White, punched out the center, and put it on the glitter paper with Dimensionals. Then, we fastened the M&Ms inside with a mini glue dot, and fastened the front down with another mini glue dot.

Fast and easy, and I think it's quite cute! If I were to do it for school kids, I'd do different colors and probably a different stamp set - but for grown-ups, this is perfect. :)

OK, I'm outta here! Have a WONDERFUL day! Be sure to take the time to STAMP something - and why not bless someone else with it? :D

OCCASIONS MINI IS LIVE!

Happy Friday! Are you back in your regular routine yet? (I don't think I ever have a routine... :D )

I just wanted to give you a quick look at a new stamp set in the OCCASIONS MINI. That link SHOULD take you to a pdf file of the new book. :) Peruse to your heart's desire; remember that SALE-A-BRATION starts at the end of this month, so start planning on how to make the most of your budget!

This stamp is called PEOPLE LIKE YOU. I colored it with various Stampin' Write markers - which didn't take too long, because it's a big stamp and I colored the flowers the same, except for the stamens. :)

OK, I'm outta here! Hope you have a fantastic weekend, and be sure to take time to stamp SOMEthing. :)

My Thank-You Card...

Oops! This was supposed to be up yesterday! Oh, well! :)

How are you today? How's your new year? We're starting to come out of the deep freeze here; a friend posted on Facebook this morning, "Who would have thought that 30 degrees would ever feel balmy...?" :D

This is my thank-you card for Christmas; I still have a couple to write, but I have the MAJORITY sent. (I need to send one to my sister - I got one from her today. I'm so lazy...!!!)

This was Festive Flurry; the word stamp set on the front and on the inside was an accidental send from Stampin' Up!, but it's perfect for me. :D That's Pool Party and Whisper White, along with some Iridescent Ice EP on those snowflakes. Lots of heat embossing and cutting on this card, but I really like the way they turned out. And, let's face it. If someone gave me something or did something for me, I want them to have a nice card! :D

OK, I'm outta here. Have a WONDERFUL day, and be SURE to make the time to stamp SOMETHING.... :)

Medallion Ornament

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

How are you today? Did you celebrate the new year in a big way? Me, not so much - but that's OK.:) It's been a nice day, just quietly going through stuff, trying to get more organized before the year runs away with me again. :D

I keep thinking that I've already told you about this, but I can't see it in my post list. SO. :) It was going to be one of the projects at GIFTS FROM THE HEART, but no one wanted to come play with me!

The medallion is made with the rosette die; that's the gold metallic sheet behind the Whisper White oval. It was simple and easy to make; I did hot glue the rosette part to the oval, just because it's so difficult for me to hold it down and work at the same time. :D But it worked SO beautifully! You could put this on top of a plate of cookies with a ribbon, and it would double as an ornament for their tree.

OK, I'm outta here! IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HOSTING A PARTY DURING SALE-A-BRATION, I AM GOING TO GIVE A SPECIAL HOSTESS GIFT TO THE FIRST SIX PEOPLE WHO BOOK AND HOLD! It will be worth at LEAST $25!!!!!!!!!! Contact me NOW! :D

Hostess Club Project #1

It's FRIDAY!!! :D Have you started working on your Christmas cards yet?? I need to do more. But I REALLY love this one - and it's super simple.

If you have ever considered being a part of a hostess club, it's a GREAT time to either join our existing club at my house, or start one of your own! We meet every other month, and everyone takes turns being hostess. We sign a pledge to purchase so much every time - it's a minimum, so everyone is guaranteed of a certain amount of a party each time, so it's fair. It's SO much fun, and guests are welcome! :) Please talk to me if you'd like to join in - or start a group of your own.

Anyway. We did this card as one of the projects. I just love the "merry" from the Expressions thinlits cut out with silver glimmer paper! The snowflakes are stamped with Illuminate ink - they're sparkly, shimmery, and just snowy. :D

OK, I'm outta here! Have a wonderful week! Be SURE and make the time to stamp something!
