I finally did it!

Check out my first tutorial video! :)

Love, sweet LOVE! :)

Now, THIS is a fun card. :D There are days when I just don't WANNA stamp!!!! When that happens, I'm SO grateful for my PUNCHES (and BIG SHOT, too!)!!!
This is the LAST DAY to purchase the LOVE YOU MUCH BUNDLE!!!!!! Please GO HERE to place your online order NOW!!!!! Click on the SHOP NOW button at the top, then on SPECIALS!
This was a demo's group challenge a few weeks ago: Use Pink Pirouette, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, and Riding Hood Red in a project. WELL. I just couldn't come up with something "sweet" or "simple" with those colors; they scream PLAYTIME to me. :)
So I took my Heart to Heart punch (from the bundle), and punched out the three different-sized hearts from all the colors of card stock at least twice. Then I just started sticking them down randomly all over the Whisper White front (we were allowed to add any neutrals we wanted).
Next came the medallion stamp from the LOVE YOU MUCH stamp set (from the bundle), and punched and layered.
SUPER simple, hardly any stamping, and I used a LOT of color with little effort!
I really hope to see that you've placed YOUR order for the bundle - and saved TWENTY PERCENT on it!!!!!! And then SHOW ME WHAT YOU'RE STAMPIN'!

Let's keep LOVE in the works! :D

Hi! How are you this fine Friday??? Have you had a good week? It's the last work day of the month! :) Can you believe the first month of the year is gone already??? Wow. It's flying - in some ways. :)
ANYWAY. I know I've said it so many times before - but not lately, so here goes: I LOVE MY BIG SHOT!!! :D
I really like making different shapes of cards; this scallop die, and the Top Note die, are both faves of mine for doing this. So, you know I used the scallop circle die - read on for the rest of the ingredients! :)
Card stock is Close to Cocoa. The speckle is from ITTY BITTY BACKGROUNDS, done in Close to Cocoa. Then, I stippled white ink all over the card. The hearts are cut with my BIG SHOT and the hearts Sizzlets from the new Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper; I distressed the edges with the distressing tool from the Cutting Kit. Then, I ran my embossing buddy all over the card stock, and stamped the saying from HOLIDAYS & WISHES and embossed with white embossing powder.
Not too girly, not too cutesy. :) What do YOU think of it??? Keep watching; I've got more fun stuff to play with in my BIG SHOT. You REALLY need one of these...! :D

Good afternoon!

This card is from our FANCY FOLDS class this month; it was a really fun class to do, and we used the LOVE YOU MUCH bundle on several of the cards.

PLEASE NOTE: Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to take advantage of the special 20% off on this bundle! It contains three items that are new to this Idea Book:

Candy Lane Designer Series Paper

Heart to Heart Punch

LOVE YOU MUCH stamp set

If you'd like to take advantage of the special pricing, please CLICK HERE and go to the SHOP NOW link at the top, then click on SPECIALS.

Now, then. :) On to the details! This is knowns as a SWING or FLIP card; it takes some special cutting to do the swing window, but it's really cute. It's been around a while, but sometimes we concentrate on the new things for so long, we don't KNOW the old stuff! :D

We stamped on Pink Pirouette (IN COLOR) card stock with Pretty in Pink ink; the stamp is from the LOVE YOU MUCH stamp set. The DSP is the CANDY LANE DSP in the bundle; we used one side on the front of the swing window, and the other side on the back.

We stamped the medallion from LOVE YOU MUCH, and punched out the center with a 1" circle punch. Next, we colored in the heart with a Pretty in Pink Stampin' Write Marker, and matted that onto a 1-1/4" Chocolate Chip circle punch, which matted onto a 1-3/8" Whisper White circle punch. All of that went onto a Pretty in Pink scallop circle punch; we put a dimensional on back, and centered it onto the front panel - the DSP is matted with Chocolate Chip.

For the inside panel, we used the scallop edge punch on the DSP, and colored the stamp from LOVE YOU MUCH with Stampin' Write Markers - Chocolate Chip, Pink Passion, and Green Galore. Then we matted that with Chocolate Chip.

Isn't it CUTE??? So. What are YOU stamping?? And I hope you'll take advantage of that great special going on - ORDER NOW, so you don't miss out!!!!!

Sorry, sorry!!

I know it's Tuesday evening. Life has been on fast-forward for a while! :) So, without further delay, here's the other RUSTIC ROOSTER card I promised to show you!

Isn't it cool?????? :)
The background is a feather-type stamp that comes in this Level 2 HOSTESS-ONLY stamp set, done with Ruby Red on Ruby Red.
The TOP NOTE (Stampin' Up! exclusive Sizzix die!) is cut from Creamy Caramel AND Old Olive. I cut out the thin outside strip from the Old Olive with my craft knife - if you've never tried Stampin' Up!'s, I HIGHLY recommend it! It's only $4.50, and it's the best balanced craft knife I've ever used!
ANYWAY. Before I cut the Creamy Caramel diecut, I stamped it with the French word background stamp that's in the set in Creamy Caramel. Then, I adhered the Old Olive on top of the Creamy Caramel diecut - and still have the INSIDE of the Old Olive to use on something else!
The rooster itself is colored with Stampin' Write markers - if you want to know specific colors, let me know! :) He's stamped onto Very Vanilla, and the edges are distress with the Cutting Kit's distressing tool.
Keep coming back - I have so many things to show you, so little time! :) What are YOU stamping???????? Why haven't you ordered from my online site yet? This new Idea Book has so much AWESOME stuff in it!!!!!!

So, what DID we make at the open house???

I'm only going to show you two of the projects, because I'm going to take my show on the road and go visit a few friends and make the third project with them. :)

Here's the first:

This is a new LEVEL 2 HOSTESS-ONLY STAMP SET! It's called RUSTIC ROOSTER, and the ONLY way you can get this set is by placing an order of $300 or more, or hosting a party that has more than $300 in sales. (It's not hard to do!!!!)

We colored the rooster with Stampin' Write markers, and stamped him on the Naturals White card stock. Then, we masked off just a small strip, and stamped the little postage-type stamp above and below him in Ruby Red. Finally, we masked that strip, and stamped the French script stamp in Creamy Caramel on the very top and bottom. After rounding the corners with (what else?!?) the corner rounder punch, we ran the edges of the bookmark through the Ruby Red ink pad, and finally stapled a piece of Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon to the top. EASY, and cute!!!!

(Be watching next week for another sample with this proud bird!)

The second project is fun, too!

This scanner just doesn't like things that aren't absolutely flat!!! :)
The Top Note diecut is the topper for this treat bag - remember the Just Buzzin' By card on Tuesday?
This is the JUST BUZZIN' BY stamp set again. The words are stamped in Pacific Point (an IN COLOR, and one I really like!!!), and the bee is stamped in Chocolate Chip and colored with a YoYo Yellow Stampin' Write Marker. Then, we sponged the edges of the diecut with Pacific Point, just to give it a bit of a border.
We took one of our small cello bags and put five Bit-O'Honeys in it - it's amazing how full that makes the bag! - and then stapled the folded topper on with a single staple.
SUPER easy, quick, and simple - you could easily whip these up for teacher gifts, friend gifts, little pick-me-ups for any service provider you run into!
So. That's what we made Monday night, and I'm stickin' to my story. :D What have YOU stamped this week???????????

Thursday, January 22, 2009

I promised, and here it is! :)

So, this is a tin I wrapped in a piece of the JACKPOT DSP, and cut a Top Note die - exclusive to Stampin' Up!, you know ;). Then, I cut two Naturally Serif alphabets from Very Vanilla, and created the saying on the front.

The "card" is made with the Curly Label punch, and punched from a different piece of the JACKPOT DSP.

The notebook is covered with yet another piece of the JACKPOT DSP, and when this paper retires, this is going to be a gift set for my dad! I'll put the notebook in the tin, along with a mechanical pencil and a few decks of cards! :) Super-easy, inexpensive, and custom-made for my dad. He'll LOVE it.

Keep on coming back - lots to show, so little time to do it in.... :D

BETTER YET, order some toys to play with, and show me what YOU are stamping!!!!!!!!! :D

This one cracks me up!!!

Hi, everyone!

This is another sample with some new designer series paper, this time!

The stamp is from PUNS FROM THE PAST - and I really LOVE this set. :D The fan is a 3x3" square piece of JACKPOT DSP - it's an awesome set of papers, all focused on games for the most part.

So, I stamped the fan all around, then put the accordian-folded DSP on with dimensionals. Inside, I stamped the sentiment that's on the stamp. Want to guess what it says?

FAN MAIL.

ROFL!!! I SO crack me up! :D

Tomorrow's post will be a 3D project I did with the DSP. I LOVE the project, too!!! :D

SO. What's on your wish list???? You never know when it might end up being some blog candy, ya know..... :D

Now, GO STAMP SOMETHING!!!!

Tuesday, January 20, 2009

IT IS FINALLY HERE - and so am I! :D

If you look over to the right, you'll see it - the NEW Idea Book & Catalog!!!! It's a BEAUTIFUL book, and it's the best in YEARS, IMHO. :D There are such WONDERFUL new products - and my wish list is MILES long. :D

ANYWAY. :D If you go download the book, you'll be able to make your OWN wish list! Here's a news flash: February and March are Sale-A-Bration, which means that, for every $50 you spend, you get to pick one of several special products (paper bundle, ribbon, select stamp sets) for FREE! Here's a sample I made with some new stamps!

This set is called JUST BUZZIN' BY. It's REALLY cute. Colors are Summer Sun, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White. We did a treat bag with the Top Note die for the open house yesterday, so after I did the sample to show, I used the negative from cutting it out to do the frame.
Keep on the lookout - I've got some fun other things to show you! :)
Now, then, GO CHECK OUT THE NEW IB&C, and then come back and tell me what's on your wish list! :D
And THEN, go stamp something!!!

We're home! :)

WOW, am I glad to not be in the car! :D We put 1600 miles on our car in six days. Let's just say that's a LOT of sitting. LOL!
While we were with Kenn's cousin in Wichita, my sister-in-law, Susan, celebrated a big birthday. Kenn suggested that she'd like a journal when I asked him, so here we go! :)
Colors are obviously Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, and Very Vanilla. The ribbon is the ONLY thing I used that isn't current; I LOVED the satin ribbon from the 2007 Holiday Mini, and since I still had some.... :)
The spine's paper is from the current promotion/sneak peek from the NEW IB&C coming out MONDAY!!! The big mat is cut with the Top Note die; the letters are from the Natural Serif die. The smaller punches are the curly label, as well as CUTE & CURLY, the set that coordinates with the punch.
I think it was a hit, and I liked it myself. :) Susan is a big hiker, and everything except the ribbon is FLAT, so she can put it into her backpack, etc. It feels GOOD to make a gift special for someone!
I'm going to try to get some more posts set up like have the last week, so you'll have something fun to come check out every week day while I work on the OPEN HOUSE projects for next Monday, as well as birthday cards for Saturday's BIRTHDAY BONANZA. :)
What are YOU stamping?? You ARE stamping, aren't you?!?!? :D

Monday, January 12, 2009

Thank you card - THURSDAY!

Good morning! :) Are you enjoying our week of thank-you cards? After today, there's only one more to go!

Again, this is a very neutral card. Although I tend to think of the colors as more masculine - but you can easily change the color scheme and come up with something more girly, too. That's true of ALL the cards I've shown this week, right? Well, maybe not Monday's - that's kind of girly through-and-through. :D

Colors: Creamy Caramel, Very Vanilla, Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip

Stamp Set: Cute & Curly (bundled with the curly label punch in the current IB&C)

Accessories: Holiday Treasures designer series paper, curly label punch, paper piercing tool and mat from Crafter's Tool Kit, dimensionals.

Another super-easy card, brought to you by - why, ME! :D Now, go stamp smoething, for Pete's sake!!!!!

You may be wondering why I'm putting the DAY in the title? Well, I'm getting these all ready to go for you; Kenn and I are going to visit relatives, and I didn't want to have you stare at the same card all week. :D SO, I'm putting the DAY so I don't forget what I'm doing. :D

Good Friday Morning! :)

How are you today? Enjoying the second day of 2009? :D I'm procrastinating; I need to go run some errands, but I just don't want to get ready. :D Ever feel like that??

Anyway. Yesterday was the day I send out my newsletter to my peeps on my email list, and this is one of the things I showed them.

Isn't it cute? This is from the new preview bundle from Stampin' Up!, called LOVE YOU MUCH. The hearts are all on one stamp, perfectly positioned to punch out with the punch included in the bundle - and the yummy designer series paper is going to be in the new Idea Book & Catalog, too! The only thing not a PREVIEW of the new IB&C (which we'll be able to order from JANUARY 19!!!!) is the white taffeta ribbon.

The box is the perfect size for a little chocolate something.... :D

If you'd like to order the LOVE YOU MUCH BUNDLE, please GO HERE and click on the SHOP NOW button - and then on SPECIALS. :) (Or email me!)

Have a wonderful weekend! And be sure to come back next week; every day, I'll be posting one of the cards from tomorrow's Quick Card Class. :)
