Lobster Card

Welcome to Wednesday! I thought I'd show you the rest of my hostess club projects from last month. :D

The background is plastic wrap - I really do enjoy doing monochromatic cards! - inked in Marina Mist and pounced onto Marina Mist. :)

We stamped and embossed the lobster with Whisper White, then tore him out and put him on a piece of Whisper White, which we tore out and sponged around the edges with more Marina Mist. :)

I think it's a fun, quick birthday card! It looks ice-watery, like where a cold-water lobster belongs. :D

That Ol' Pencil Can!

Welcome to Friday! :) Sorry about the sporadic posting; working on the computer for a temp job means I don't feel like doing anything on the computer, period. :D

ANYWAY.

This pencil can is one that Amy originally did for me about four years ago. Since then, I just take off the decoration on the can when the new Idea Book comes out, and do something fresh and new!

That's the new MARITIME designer series paper around the can; the other side is a bold stripe, which I really like, too - but I just liked this side with the pencils better. And it fits into our decor in the studio better than the other side. :D (Don't forget! This month ONLY, it's buy 3 packs of DSP, get one FREE!!! Then there's some Bermuda Bay baker's twine wrapped around and tied in a little bow. (I really like the texture contrast!)

Finally, I stamped the conch shell from BY THE TIDE in Crisp Cantaloupe ink. I tore the image out of the Whisper White card stock, and sponged around the edges. I stuck the image on the can with a dimensional. Easy-peasy! :D

Here's a quick share for your Friday evening! :)

I'm just guessing at the colors; I think they're Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, and Pool Party. That's the Top Note die you see, and she used the By the Tide stamp set. Nice, soft card, don't you think?
