WARNING: RELIGIOUS CONTENT!

OK. For the past couple of years, I've been rather tired of how PC the retailers, especially, have become concerning CHRISTMAS. I've been waiting for maybe a backlash to happen? If we could even start a DISCUSSION, I'd love to talk to you about the whole thing! If you truly want to know what I believe, this video does an incredible job of explaining it - if you celebrate Chanukah, or Kwanzai, or anything else, that's fine with me. :) I celebrate CHRISTMAS! I just wanted to get some talking going: tell me what YOU think! Leave me a comment!

I celebrate the Winter Solstice-not because I am Wiccan or anything-but I just have to do something to get thru the winter. I stopped celebrating Christmas back in the mid 90's becasue the whole shop til you drop or go bankrupt is not what it is about. I am not religious. ANd I think we as Americans are a bunch of idiots to play this shopping game. Its about more than that-but no one cares anymore.

I will watch the video when I get home from work. I don't really celebrate anything --it's kind of sad (my parents are 2 different religions and I wasn't raised with either).

With the whole PC thing, I agree with you! The funny thing is, I don't think, for example, Christians care that something says Happy Hannukah or Jewish people care about something saying Merry Christmas. It's usually zealot/have-nothing-to-do people who like to stir the pot and create controversy when there isn't any...

Well we celebrate Christmas in our family and the idea the last couple of years has been to create gifts out of nothing and try to spend as little as possible. In fact this year half of the family isn't exchanging presents - we're donating money to charity instead, and it's up to everyone what they feel comfortable donating and to which charity.

I too am tired of all the PC crap. I was raised to respect others and am quite fine with everyone and their religious beliefs. But don't tread on mine because it's not the same as yours. My Christmas and how I celebrate it should be up to me. My DH always says Merry Christmas to those who say Happy Holidays, especially store clerks who are supposed to be PC.

I agree Lori. The PC garbage drives me nuts, as does the overcommercialization of most holidays, but especially Christmas. What/why is Christmas? I started to write more of a comment, but realized I had my theme for my own blog!! Come check it out later!

Merry Christmas!!!!!!
I completely agree!! I feel bad for the employees that get the backlash, though...they can only do what their employers ask them to do :o(
Thanks for sharing the cute video!!
hugs,

I am a Christian and believe you can't have CHRISTmas without Christ. I don't judge anyone for their beliefs and I don't want to be judged for mine. I think that Christmas is something different for everyone and no one should be knocked for what they believe whether they are religious or not.

Merry Christmas!

I celebrate Christmas! It is the birthday of Christ. I get tired of hearing Happy Holidays. Sure it is a holiday but call it what it is, Christmas! I don't care if it offends anyone, I am proud to be a Christian and more of us need to take a stand and not be pushed into something that is not right. Take a stnad people and say Merry Christmas!
