Here's a close-up!

Happy Wednesday! :)
I thought I'd give you a close-up of the Z-fold card we did for the Mother's Day Stamp Camp last weekend.
The base card stock - and the scallop circle - is Real Red. The long part of the Z-fold itself is Certainly Celery. The middle of the circle is Soft Sky - and don't forget, the IN COLOR family group will be going away in August! STOCK UP WHILE YOU CAN!. The designer series paper is from SUMMER PICNIC, available now until the end of JUNE - thanks, Stampin' Up!!!!!! - in the Occasions Mini. The stamp is from a retired stamp set - I needed something that would fit in the circle! :D We stamped with Real Red CRAFT ink, and embossed with clear embossing powder. Super-simple, eye-catching, and fast!
OK, I'm off to start designing for NEXT week's classes! :) I hope you're having a WONDERFUL week - and taking the time to STAMP!!!!

Good Monday Morning!

How was your weekend? I hope you had a great one, with MORE TIME TO YOURSELF THAN I HAD! Goodness, my weekends are just CRAZY busy lately!!!!
ANYWAY. One of the things that kept me busy this weekend was our MOTHER'S DAY STAMP CAMP. If you missed it, you missed a LOT of fun! We stamped on fabric - check out the great tote bag!. We stamped on plastic - check out the coordinating water bottle! We made a post-it note holder - check out the cute flower folded thing! :D We stamped on terra cotta - check out my ADORABLE pot! And we made a great Mother's Day z-fold card. You know you can click on the pic to make it larger, right? :D
So. Yesterday was a workshop, and I can't WAIT to show you those projects - but I have another workshop on Saturday, and we're going to do the same ones! :)
So, LOTS of stampin' going on around here. How about you? Are YOU taking the time to STAMP something?? Whyever not?!?!? :D
Have a WONDERFUL day! I'd love to hear from you - y'all are AWFULLY quiet lately!!!

Trying again!

Here's hoping....

Oh, it WORKED! :D This is another card from my Advanced Techniques class earlier this month; isn't it pretty? It's another Technqiue Junkies technique, called Burnished Embossing.

Now, before I tell you what supplies we used, you might be asking yourself, "Why does she point us to Pat's site if she's teaching the techniques in a class I can attend? Or, if I sign up for the TJ newsletter, why would I want to take her class?" WELL, let me tell you. :) The answer to the first question is, I don't show a LOT of the techniques! If there's something that I haven't figured out how to substitute a Stampin' Up! product for, or it's simply too involved and messy for a class, I don't even consider showing it. The answer to the SECOND is, a lot of the techniques take some thinking to figure out! If I can show you how they work, then you're more likely to want to DO them - and use your supplies! Does that make sense??? :)

OK, now, back to the card above. The base card is Whisper White. The mat is Basic Black, and the color is the IN COLOR, Groovy Guava - remember that this color's GOING AWAY at the end of JUNE, so order NOW if you want it!!!!! The embossing powder is Black, and the flower is from BUD BASICS. The word is from CELEBRATE EVERYTHING.

Isn't it a PRETTY card?? Very easy, very STRIKING. If you're not receiving my newsletter, I just finished putting up all of my class schedule for the month of May - which is NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING MONTH, to let you know in advance :) - on my Stampin' Up! site, http://poohisstampin.stampinup.net. I'd love to have you come to a class!!!

OK, off to finish organizing for tomorrow morning's MOTHER'S DAY STAMP CAMP! I hope YOU are taking the time to STAMP something!!! :)

I TOLD you I'd be back! :)

Don't fall down in shock! I'm TRYING to get back into the swing of things, honest! UNFORTUNATELY, Blogger is having trouble right now with photo upload. SO, I'll be back as soon as I can get you a new sample to see! :) Have a wonderful, blessed day!!!!

I'm BAAAAAACK!!!!

Did you miss me? I know it's been a LONG time since I was here posting, but I know you lived without me just fine. ;D

So, to get us back on track, I want to show you a card we did at my last Advanced Techniques class. If you're local, and you're not coming to the classes, you're DEFINITELY missing out!!!! Just warning you.... :D

This card is "faux denim". It's not a difficult technique, just time-consuming - but it SURE has a lot of potential when you think of all the Western/BoHo sets Stampin' Up! has now!!! The circle stamp background is from BoHo Backgrounds, and the ribbon slider is one of the SILVER Hodgepodge Hardware that's ONLY available in the Occasions Mini until the end of May! They're VERY cool - thanks, Melissa! :)

So, keep coming back - I'm home for a little while, anyway.... :) Leave me a comment, let me know what YOU are working on!!!! We're about to get into some SERIOUS stamping around here! :)

You ARE taking the time to stamp things, aren't you?????? ;)

I'm headed to the WOMEN OF JOY conference in Branson, MO, and then Kenn and I are going to take four days and remember what it's like to be a COUPLE. :) So, I'll see you sometime next week - I MIGHT try to post while we're gone, but not sure.
Have a WONDERFUL week! I want to hear all about what you've been up to!!!

Another 6x6 layout for you!

Good morning!!! It's so good to be getting back into the groove of things! I'm working hard on a tutorial CD to offer you, so be watching for that announcement! :)

This is the second of the three layouts from the scrapbooking class a week ago. (WOAH! Was that JUST a week ago?!?!?) I REALLY like this layout; it's a very fresh retro look, don't you think? We cut the big circles from Regal Rose with the Coluzzle, then punched the little ones out with the 1-3/8" circle punch from Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink. The striped designer paper is from the Level 1 hostess selection paper pack - I LOVE that paper pack!!!!! It's all put on Gable Green card stock for a background.

Simple, fresh, and easy. What more could you ask in a layout???? :D I think black and white photos, especially, would look awesome on this!!

OK, off to work - yes, I'm stampin'!! Are YOU?? Please, take the time to STAMP something!!! :) Talk at you again soon!!!

Good morning!

Well! Here I am again! :) Life is supposed to get back to normal for a little bit, anyway; the show is DONE. We had GREAT audiences this weekend, and a wonderful production.

BUT, it's time to get back to STAMPIN'! :)

Last week, when Ang was here for the scrapbooking class, we'd talked - she'd wanted to learn the dahlia folding technique that I was going to teach at an advanced techniques class, but couldn't make it for that class. SO, we did THREE layouts, and she learned how to do the dahlia fold. This card uses the fold, but is the one I did with her - not the same one she did. :D
It's not a color combo I'd normally do, but I really like it - the layout is crisp, and there's a very clean feel to the card.
The designer paper is from the FLOWERS FOR YOU paper pack. I used the scallop circle punch, and the ticket corner punch on the mat. The "celebrate" is from the set "CELEBRATE EVERYTHING". Colors of card stock are Whisper White, Lovely Lilac, and Taken with Teal. I used white craft ink, and white embossing powder.
SO! What are YOU stamping??? WHAT?!?!? You haven't been? Well! TAKE THE TIME TO STAMP SOMETHING - you'll be so glad you did!! :)
Have a WONDERFUL day!!!

NSR: I have to brag a bit! (Cross post!)

We got a great review from a local newspaper, The Lebanon Democrat, last week - but here's one I didn't even know was going to happen! Trudy LOVED our show. :D So, that's TWO people who reviewed it for others. I'm SO thrilled! Go HERE to check this review out!

Scrapbook class last night!

OK, so I can't just tell you I won an award for being crafty and let it go. :D I need to show you another something! LOL!!

Last night, Ang came over - she was the only one to scrap this month - and she's doing 6x6s for gifts. Abby, whose picture you've seen on this blog a few times :D, was baptized by her grandfather on Sunday - and Ang wanted SB pages for that. So, here's what I came up with.

YES, two of the stamps are retired now, but I KNEW these needed to be special. Abby's middle name is "Rose", so I needed some roses - that stamp set retired just last year. But the "Rejoice in the Lord" stamp is from a set that retired SIX years ago! :)

That's the SO SWIRLY jumbo Stampin' Around wheel as a background. We used two dimensionals per spot on the mat on the right-hand page, and if you pull on the roses, there's a card for hidden journaling back there - so that Ang can tell the precious story of the day without taking up the space for the photos.

So, what do you think? :) What are YOU stampin'???? You're NOT!?!?! Well, for Pete's sake! Take the time to STAMP something!!! :)

I won an award! :)

My dear friend, Jamie, awarded this Arte Y Pico award to me! Thank you, Jamie! Go check out her website - she's linked in the sidebar, as well, but click HERE to go to her site!
There are 5 rules attached to this and they are:
1) You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contributes to the blogging community, no matter what language.
2) Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
3) Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.
4) Award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of "Arte y Pico" blog , so everyone will know the origin of this award. http://arteypico.blogspot.com/
5) To show these rules.
So, now, I get to pick five other blogs I enjoy visiting! :D These are only five off the top of my head, girls - please don't get your feelings hurt if you're not listed!!!!!
Becky - She inspires me with her wit, creativity, great coloring skills, and friendship. Be sure and take a look at her blog!
Cheryl - She's very creative, energetic (Just look at all those layouts!!!), and encouraging. She's won at least one contest here on my blog. Definitely worth your time to visit!
Dawn - Very creative! You'll enjoy her site! :) She's really got a lot going on in her life, and she keeps it all together. I'm kinda jealous! :D
Nancy - Quite an eclectic blog, but she's a FASCINATING person. Be sure and read the posts on herbs; she's VERY knowledgeable. Lots of things to read, and she's quite the crafter!
Kathy - She's from Indiana, what can I say? :D She's got some great projects on her blog - be sure to look at the Easter eggs with rub-ons on them! :D
Congrats, girls! Thanks for your inspiration! Have fun handing out your own awards!
