Faux Mother-of-Pearl

It's FRIDAY!!! And it's only two day's until Kenn's birthday! (If you want to leave a comment to wish him a Happy Birthday, I'll pass them on!:D) Happy Birthday, Love!

Anyway. :D This isn't HIS card. It's another challenge card from SUDSOL, on a technique - they pick it, you do it and design your card around it. And I really like how this came out!

Card stock: Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Wistful Wisteria

Stamp set: Easy Events

Ink: Black Stazon, Wistful Wisteria

Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, dimensionals, Frost White Shimmer Paint (Yes, it's that time of year when you should ALL invest in another bottle of that stuff! It's wonderful!), brayer, Wistful Wisteria and Elegant Eggplant Stampin' Write Markers

And I designed our Christmas card this week. :D It's gonna take some time to crank them out - but when doesn't it!?!??! :D

Saturday's class was a fun one - and FAST. :D We were done inside an hour - but I think we had a good time. :D For this class, each particpant got the RIBBON OF HOPE stamp and a list of different colors and what they stood for.

Here's today's share! Dark purple is for, among others, Alzheimer's. It's an awful disease, and I have the UTMOST respect for families who keep their inflicted loved one with them as long as possible. Any caregiver, actually! :)

So, here it is!
Card stock is Whisper White and Concord Crush; ink is all Concord Crush.

It's a super-simple card, but I feel good about it. I'm sure you can see the symbolism for yourself! :)

OK, I'm outta here - I'll have to sit down and post about where all I've been and where I'm going, but not today. :D Kenn's brother and sister-in-law came to visit for just two days, so we're making the most of it! :D

It has been CRAZY here today!

I tell you WHAT, we've had enough company for four months! LOL! Of course, ANYONE'S always welcome - it just has really kept things stirred up around here the last three weeks.

I chose this card first, because I LOVE the new saying, and this new designer series paper! :D

Card Stock: Basic Black, Very Vanilla

Ink: Early Espresso N, Crumb Cake N, Chocolate Chip

Stamp set: Occasional Quotes (Level 3 hostess-only stamp set, N)

Accessories: Newsprints DSP N, Scallop Edge Punch (kinda N), sponge, dimensionals

It's a VERY striking, easy, elegant card. And I REALLY like this particular quote - as a matter of fact, you'll see it tomorrow on the sample I'll show you! :)

Here it is, Wednesday, and it's before noon again! Aren't you impressed? :D

Kenn and I are heading out for a two-night photo excursion for him, a chance to get away for ME. :D So, this needs to be fast - he's waiting on me, as usual. :D

Now, this is NOT my favorite card, but many people seem to like it, so.... :D It's PIXIE PINK, which is going away at the end of the month! I'm SO glad that both the stamp sets - INSPIRED BY NATURE and SINCERE SALUTATIONS - aren't going anywhere! :D
