Christmas and Scrapping!
Hi, everyone! I hope you had a great weekend - does anyone else have the problem that your weekends are so packed, you're not rested??? UGH! :D
Anyway. This is a 6x6 card from our CHRISTMAS IN JULY class; you could easily put a family photo on the front, or simply leave it blank for simplicity's sake.
The bottom photo is the inside; the greeting is right where someone could put a photo from their Christmas celebration! To use as a 2-page 6x6 layout, they'd simply cut down the fold. Voila!
Colors are Sahara Sand Cherry Cobbler, and Early Espresso.
OK, time to get busy again! :) I hope you're having a WONDERFUL day - and be sure to take the time to STAMP something!!!!

I keep forgetting to show this off to you!
Yes, that says ten. As in ten years totally completed! Stampin' Up! doesn't consider you to have been with the company the same way we count birthdays. :D I joined in June 2000! And yes, those are diamond chips. :)
It's been a lot of fun, and I've met some incredible people along the way. I've used a lot of card stock and adhesive, and may have ended up wearing just about as much ink as I've put on paper.... :D
Thank you for being a part of my journey. I love hearing from you! Every time you leave me a comment, it's truly "blog love". :D (Hint, hint.... :D )
OK. Today is staff and student orientation at the school in which we're going to be teaching. :D I need to go wash off some of this ink.... :D
Have a wonderful day! Be sure and take the time to STAMP something!

It's late, but it's still Wednesday! :D
Hi, everyone! I'm having a hard time remembering what I've posted, what I CAN post, and what I've photographed but can't post because the class is upcoming. LOL!!!! I thought I'd already posted this one, but I haven't found it yet, so.... :D
This was a hostess club card we did in July. I just LOVE these new IN COLORs together, and this new stamp set!!!
Card stock, ink colors: Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade
Stamp sets: Field Flowers, Blessings from Heaven (inside)
Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note die, stamping sponge, Stripes Texturz Embossing Folder
It's simple, it's happy, and it's easy. :D What more could you ask for?!?!? I really, really love both of these new stamp sets, too!
Don't forget: if you're going to order the DESIGNER SERIES PAPER special (buy 3, get one FREE!), you don't have much time left! And if you're local and want to order with me, orders are due FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, I'm off!! I've been working HARD to get classes together, and I've worked with one of the new products available in the new Holiday Mini - which most of you should have received by now, if you were on my mailing list. Didn't get it? Want one? Email me at poohisstampin@aol.com, or call me at (615)497-4532, and let's see if you were on my list, or if I'm gonna send it right to you! Anyway. :D It's the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, on page 7. I love it!!!!!! I need to get some more markers, and I LOVE the stylus - it's really comfortable to use. I'm telling you, everyone's going to NEED one!! :D
Now, go take the time to STAMP something!!!!!! I DEFINITELY am.... :D

I think you'd LOVE MDS!
Hi, y'all! BOY, is it hot out there today! I'm so glad I'm done running around for the day. PHEW!!!
Now, then. Those of you who haven't purchased MY DIGITAL STUDIO may not be aware of how awesome the program itself is; it also is constantly being improved and updated. Lately, there were a few new items added to the project pool; I am in love with the TRIFOLD card!
This is the first one I made. I also took a photo of the "background DSP" versus a piece of card stock so you could see how the colors line up.
Now the colors look different because of the way it's standing by itself; the light's hitting the panels at different angles. And just so you know: you can decorate the BACKS of the card as well.
I had such fun designing this card! It's almost fall! YEA! (Someone PLEASE tell the thermometer that, would you???) There are stamp sets available for MDS that are retired, as well as from the mini catalogs and current IB&C. Accessories ribbon, stitch lines - it really IS a studio for designing just about anything you want. It's NOT just for scrapbooking!! :)
Now, then. I still recommend that you print through Stampin' Up! if you want TRUE color and page size, but I'm pretty impressed with the way our new Kodak printer handled this one. Here's a picture of the More Mustard card stock with the card corner, so you can see the colors against each other:
It was also printed on Very Vanilla versus Whisper White, so that's probably a little of the difference.
OK, it's time for me to get busy!! OH, I forgot! There's a GREAT support site for MDS here, and there's an online "year to date" catalog of all the available releases for MDS here.
NOW it's time for me to get busy. :D Have a WONDERFUL day, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something! AND COME STAMP WITH ME - check out my class schedule HERE!

Happy Monday! :)
I tell you what! I am a stampin' FOOL these days - trying to get as far ahead as I can with designing, so when I start directing my show in two weeks, I won't get too overwhelmed at first. :D Which means I can't show you everything new showing up in my studio - but I can show you one or two things. :D
Paper quilling seems to be making a comeback! There was an article in the demonstrators' magazine from Stampin' Up! - Stampin' Success - about it this month. There was a card in there I think we'll be doing at classes for Valentine's Day, because it's super simple and cute! However, I wanted to put my hand to it right away.
Beverly Polen had a design on her blog for a full flower like this; I wanted to make a medallion (partly because I still had all the Wild Wasabi scallop circles from the Can It Forward! day :D), and this is what I came up with!
Card stock: Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, River Rock, Very Vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso
Stamp sets: Many Merry Messages, Delightful Decorations (inside)
Accessories: Large scallop circle punch, paper piercer, Big Shot, Stripes Texturz Embossing Folder, dimensionals, Tombow Multi Glue, Snail.
I know the colors aren't what we think of as "traditional" colors for Christmas, but I REALLY like the way this turned out. It's very calm, and a little elegant. And for my first attempt at quilling, I think it's pretty OK. :D
All right! I'm off to do some more stampin'! I hope you're having a great day - and managing to take the time to STAMP something!!!

Frilly Friday! :)
Here's another card from the LET'S GET PUNCHY 4 class to round out the week. :) I think this was probably the favorite from the whole class; it's just a happy card!
Card stock: Marina Mist, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist
Accessories: round tab punch, 3/4", 1", and 1-3/4" circle punches, Big Shot, Petals-a-plenty embossing folder, Paisley Petals DSP (Don't forget to order your DSP while it's on special this month: buy 3, get one free! Just click here and go to SHOP NOW to order!), scallop circle die, large scallop circle punch, white grosgrain ribbon, stamping sponge
OK, y'all, it's frilly AND fabulous. :D And it's Friday - one of my last free ones for a while! :D So I'm off. Be SURE and take the time to stamp SOMETHING - I'm already working on samples for next month's classes! :D

Dress up your stuff!
So, Saturday was the Second Annual National Can It Forward! Day. I didn't hear about it last year, but this year - thanks to FaceBook! :D - I got in on it early. No benefits - no coupons, no recognition - but a chance to pass on knowledge that's in danger of being lost. Most of you know I really enjoy seeing people learn - and we had a GREAT time. :)
Everyone got to make covers for their jars - this was my sample jar; I also made labels for everyone to put on their jam. The circular label was from the organization group; they meant for them to be printed onto labels and stuck to the top of the jars. I, however, had another idea. :D
We used the Big Shot to cut out the fabric. I can remember, when we were little, Mom using pinking shears to cut fabrics when she wanted to dress anything up. It took a long time, and trust me, cutting that much hurts your fingers and hands! That's one of the things I LOVE about the Big Shot; it makes things SO much easier. :) Mom had found a box of plaid fabrics; I cut what I wanted to gifts way before Saturday, so anyone who wanted more than one scallop circle could use whatever they wanted - and some of the ladies cut quite a few! :)
(Did you know? With the new hostess plan, you can get your Big Shot for HALF PRICE! Just host a qualifying party, and you can get ANY item Stampin' Up! sells for half price! Book your party now!!!!)
The scallop for the hang tag is the largest scallop circle; after I printed out the "label", I punched them out with a circle punch. I could only punch out every other one because of spacing, but it still worked. And the colors in their logo matched Wild Wasabi! :D We used silver elastic cord for the hanging part.
See how you can use paper (and your other
DEMOS: I've heard your pleas for info about the dominoes. I'll be making a video tutorial just for you this weekend. :)

Most of you know that the HOLIDAY MINI is about to arrive in your mailboxes. You should be VERY excited - and SAVING EVERY PENNY YOU CAN. :D Let me say this: it would be easier for me to make a list of what I DON'T want!!!! AUGH! :D
The sneak peek here is the 1x8 cello bags. They will come FIFTY in a bag for just $2.50!!! Can you say GIFT POSSIBILITIES THAT ARE ENDLESS?!?!?
The set is GOT TREATS, one of my favorites to use for smaller treat-type items. That's Tangerine Tango embossing powder and card stock, Basic Black and Daffodil Delight rounding out the project.
Don't you just LOVE it!! And you KNOW these will figure into classes this fall. :) Make plans NOW to order, and order early, so you can use them for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day - can you see the potential?!?!? :D
Tonight's LET'S GET PUNCHY 4, so tomorrow will be a card. :D Enjoy your day, and make SURE you take the time to stamp something. I AM!!! :D

Scrabooking Christmas!
Good Monday Morning!
Did you have a good weekend? Kenn's on his way home from visiting his family in Oklahoma; I was super busy, getting to teach a group of ladies how to make blueberry jam. We had a great time!
OK, on to stamping. :) Today's share is from my last CHRISTMAS IN JULY class. It's hard to tell, but this is a 12x12 scrapbook page. You could turn it so the Whisper White strip is at the bottom, but I think this is the way I'd use this page. I'd put my photos on that strip, and put any journaling on the main part of the page, between the snowflakes. :)
To make the snowflakes, I folded a piece of paper so that it was smaller than the die, so the snowflakes would be connected. We used 2-way glue on the back, to make it removeable; the rest, I'm not going to tell you - except in "recipe" format. Come to class! :D
Card stock: Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink: Night of Navy
Accessories: Big Shot, snowflake die, ribbon lace border punch, Basic Rhinestones, Frost White shimmer paint
OK, I'm off - tomorrow night is LET'S GET PUNCHY 4, and I'm all done with the class prep! So, it's off to design the NEXT class. Quick cards, ladies, one of your favorite classes! We'll have a congratulations card, a thank-you, a birthday, a sympathy, and one that I'll decide when I design it. :D

Strength & Hope
Good Friday Afternoon! :)
I just wanted to remind you that this stamp set. STRENGTH & HOPE, is only available until the end of the month. (The ribbon is a single stamp, RIBBON OF HOPE). Although this stamp set's sales benefits the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the colors can be changed up for whatever ribbon you need to stamp.
If you'd like to see more about the set, or order it, you can go to this link - BCRF - and do so.
Card stock: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Melon Mambo
Stamp sets: STRENGTH & HOPE, Ribbon of Hope, Blessings from Heaven
Accessories: Pinking Heart Punch, dimensionals
And here's the inside of the card:
I really like the way this card turned out! Especially the inside!! :)
I hope you'll take advantage of this stamp set's sales - $2 of each sale goes toward the research for a cure.
Now, go stamp something! :D I am.... :D (For those of you who are still waiting on the birthday card contest: I'm still waiting to hear if the photos on my hard drive are going to be able to be saved. If not, that's a lot of time to re-shoot. I don't want to have to re-do it unless I HAVE to! :D THANK YOU for your patience!!!)
Thursday, August 11, 2011
Oh, yes, I'm here - EARLY!!! :D
And this is a 3D project, from our CHRISTMAS IN JULY class!
It's a domino, painted with white acrylic craft paint. The stamp set is GREETING CARD KIDS. It's edged with gold glass glitter!
My dad drills a whole box of dominoes for me whenever I need to purchase them. :) He's a nice dad!
If you're a demonstrator and want more details, please email me at Poohisstampin@aol.com. If you're not and want more details, LMK and I'll work up a tutorial you can purchase!
I love doing 3D projects, especially ones you can WEAR! :D Tomorrow's post will be another CHRISTMAS IN JULY post! Stay tuned! :D
Now, go stamp something - I've got to go clean up the studio! AUGH! :D

Two days in a row! Really? :D
Guess who! :D It's been an interesting week, for sure - and I'm working on next week's Let's Get Punchy! class - some great things to show you!! I hope you'll come play with us - just RSVP by Friday night.
This is another card from the Fancy Folds class; it's a center step card; the template came from fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator and INCREDIBLE artist, Connie Babbert. I highly encourage you to go check out her blog!
Anyway. As part of the class, I gave out handouts with measurements for the panels, too. :) Here are the "ingredients"!
Card stock: Marina Mist, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Whisper White Craft, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue
Stamp sets: Field Flowers, Blessings from Heaven, Fabulous Florets
Accessories: wide oval punch, embossing buddy, heat tool, white embossing powder, dimensionals and SNAIL
I really like this color combination; it's very soothing! So. You know I'm stampin' my heart out! How about you??? (And come stamp with me next week!)

SO many technical difficulties!!
Hey, y'all!!! WOW, is this summer not going the way I hoped it would!! Now my hard drive has crashed, and I'm working on a laptop - but most of my photos were on that hard drive. AUGH!!!! So, I'm hoping and praying that I'll get my files restored and get a slight upgrade to my tower, anyway....
We had our Fancy Folds class last week; not very many of you are showing any kind of interest in classes. Is it because of what I'm teaching? Give me some suggestions of what you'd come take a class about!!!! (Especially now; we just had to put $1000 into our car! OUCH!!!)
Here is one of the cards we did - and another I did as a thank-you for my aunt and uncle. This is a Technique Junkies card; I REALLY love it! It made me get out my circle cutter and actually LEARN to use it, which I'm really glad about. It's a GREAT tool! (We did the all-neutral card in class.) Don't forget - you can click on the photos to see them at the size I uploaded them! :)
Card stock: Chocolate Chip, River Rock, Very Vanilla
Ink: Chocolate Chip, River Rock, Versamark
Stamp sets: Sincere Salutations, Fabulous Florets, Fifth Avenue Floral, Blessings from Heaven
Accessories: Big Shot, scallop circle die, Circle Scissor Plus and Glass Mat, stampin' sponge, clear embossing powder, embossing buddy, heat tool, gold mini brads, Chantilly Crochet Trim, paper piercer and mat, Manhattan Flower Texturz Plate
And here's the second card; if you see something you don't recognize - the colors are new IN COLORS, Calypso Coral and Island Indigo - then leave me a message! :) I hope you've been inspired, even if it's a little bit. And I DO want to hear any classes you'd be interested in! Now, go stamp something! :D
