Hi, everyone! Today is my friend Ginny's birthday. It's been a rough year for her; she's got fibromyalgia, her daughter and son-in-law are living with them(not all bad, either! :D), and her husband was diagnosed a few years ago with an incurable cancer., and everything seems to pile on at once. So, I wanted to take this special day and design a card with a couple of ideas she's had on the color-block cards I've shown you. :) (Ginny has a wonderful blog, too - you can find it here! Please leave her some comment love!!!)
So, here is her birthday card! :)
So, Ginny, I put it on an Early Espresso background, with just a HINT of Wild Wasabi outlining it. The Designer Series Paper *could* have been a bit more masculine, but don't tell anyone - it's from the Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty DSP. :D (Hey, I fit in Christmas wherever I can. LOL!!) I ran the Wild Wasabi squares through the Big Shot with the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Snow Burst. (I call it SPARKLE to myself, cuz that's what it looks like! :D) The tag is from the matchbox bigz die.
I hope you've had a WONDERFUL day, Ginny, and that Phil is feeling well enough to celebrate YOU. Be blessed!!!!
Now, then. Y'all get back to work - go stamp something! :D

Frilly Friday! :D
This is a card I designed last month for my parties; I gave it as a wedding card this month. It's simple and elegant - and the inside is as beautiful as the out, but I didn't take a photo of it. Of course. :D And this photo's kind of blurry - I think it's because of all the textures on the card. I'm tired. LOL!
Card stock: Basic Black,WhisperWhite, Elegant Eggplant
Ink:Elegant Eggplant
Stamp sets: Fifth Avenue Floral, Fabulous Phrases
Accessories: Basic Pearls, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Big Shot, Flower Garden Texturz Plate (inside)
This was a big hit! I want to do it in my wedding colors - substitute Real Red for the Elegant Eggplant - and use Basic Rhinestones instead of the pearls. :)
WHAT A WEEK! Next week, expect to get a report from the luncheon and the 25.000 hit giveaway!
Now. Have a wonderful weekend, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!!!

MDS today!
I did this scrapbook page for a layout challenge a few weeks ago, and haven't shared with you yet! The date on it is incorrect; I've changed it in the album, but haven't resaved the picture of the page yet. :D
This was our trip to San Francisco 10 years ago - where we were when 9/11 happened. I really like how this page turned out; I hard-scrapped this trip before I really got into Stampin' Up!'s scrapbooking, and it's important to me to continue to work through the complex emotions of that trip. It was our 5th anniversary, four days before.
OK, I'm off! Tomorrow is NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY, and my students are doing speeches about chocolate, and we're having a CHOCOLATE class - basically, an excuse to get together and eat chocolate. :D It's also the night before the Hostess Appreciation Luncheon. EEK! I HAVE to get BUSY!!! :D
Now, go make the time to stamp something! I AM!!!!!

Halfway through the week!
Phew! I'm trying to keep breathing!:D Today is a day to work, work, work!
This is one of my favorite cards I've done for a while; it was an Advanced Technique card from a few months ago. Colors are Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Always Artichoke, and Certainly Celery. The stamp sets are Inspired by Nature and Blessings from Heaven.
Here's the inside:
As you can see, I used the ticket corner punch (Yes, I STILL love that thing!!) on the inside. :D
OK, I'm off - heigh ho, heigh ho. :D MAKE the time to stamp something, will ya already? :D

Easy card!
Now, this is a really quick card for you from a few months ago! :D Today's Bible study day, so I'm here now - but not for long!:D
This is from a quick card class. The color combination - Rose Red, Night of Navy, and River Rock - is from the Color Coach. It's not one I would have thought of on my own, for sure!
The grass is from INSPIRED BY NATURE, and I really like that stamp! It's embossed with clear embossing powder. :)
OK, I'm outta here now! Check this off the mile-long to do list! :D Have a WONDERFUL day - and take the time to stamp something! I will!!!!!

It's still Monday! :D
Did you miss me during the day today? :D I've been SUPER busy; the hostess appreciation luncheon is this week, and I'm so busy this week it's not funny. I'm doing my "to do" lists for the week, and starting to hyperventilate.... :D
Anyway. You're not here to hear my practice my deep breathing! :D This is a card I did for a sketch challenge about a month ago, and never posted, and don't even remember which blog the challenge was from! LOL!
Cardstock: Whisper White, Shimmery White, Brushed Silver, Pacific Point, Bashful Blue
Ink: Pacific Point
Stamp set: Many Merry Messages
Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Snowflake die, Petals-a-plenty texturz embossing folder, snowflake punch, dimensionals
It's a little different than I'd usually make, but the more I look at it, the more it grows on me. :D What do YOU think of it??
I can't BELIEVE it, but we've had over 25 THOUSAND hits on Lori's Stamping Spot since I started blogging! It's AMAZING! Next week, after I get the luncheon done, I will do a giveaway - and when I'm getting ready for the luncheon, I'll get the prize all together so all I'll have to do is mail it. :)
OK, I'm off. I've got bunches to go before I sleep!!! :) Have a WONDERFUL evening, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something - I am, like CRAZY. :D

Twisted Easel for Friday!
Hi, everyone! Here it is, Friday again! I'm off to teach school - and I'm doing an example speech for the speech class. :) They're doing their first "official" speech on National Chocolate Day, *on* chocolate. I'm doing my speech on "A Simple Gift of Holiday Chocolate You Can Make", and showing them how to make brownie truffles - and showing them some quick packaging ideas. :D
ANYWAY. Today's share is another from an Advanced Techniques class; this one is TWISTED EASEL.
Card stock: Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade, Whisper White
Inks: Lucky Limeade, Cajun Craze,Chocolate Chip
Stamps: Inspired by Nature, Teeny Tiny Wishes (inside)
Accessories:Scallop Trim Border Punch, Modern Label Punch, water, Word Window Punch
I really like how this came out!
OK, I'm off! Have a wonderful day, enjoy your weekend - and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something. I know I'd better.... :D

Here I am!
Wow, where has October gone?!?! The Hostess Appreciation Luncheon is a week from Saturday! (If you think you should have gotten an invitation and HAVE NOT, please let me know!)
We've been on the road - with Kenn's birthday last week, teaching, and being gone until last night, I don't know what I'm doing or where I am.... :D It's time to teach again tomorrow!
Anyway. :D Here's today's sample; it's #4 of 5, I THINK, of the colorblock cards.
Isn't this a FUN card?!?! I really like it - and SO simple!
The colors are Tempting Turquoise,Whisper White, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Pacific Point, and Pool Party. The medallion is made with the Tiny Teacup stamp; I just love that stamp. It's really versatile, and so fun! That's the 1-3/8" circle punch, and the scallop circle punch for the medallion. Ta da! :D
OK, I'm off. I have to work on the luncheon plans, and write a sample speech to show my class how to do what I'm looking for! :D Have a WONDERFUL day, and be sure to take the time to stamp something!

P.S.
Don't miss out on the INCREDIBLE things going on with Stampin' Up! this month - there are three new buttons on the top right-hand side of the page!
Blah....
I'm here - just way overdid it on Monday, and haven't felt like doing ANYTHING the last two days - and spent this afternoon running around. This morning? We set up an etsy store! It's got both prints and handstamped items; you can find my etsy store here; we're just getting started. :D
ANYWAY. Here's a quick share - I'm waiting on the girls for tonight's Holiday Quick Card Class!
This is double embossing; if you do a search online, you can find how-to. This is the stripes and antique wallpaper embossing folders. The colors are Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette; other accessories are the oval punch, the corner rounder, and scalloped oval punch; I used a little Chocolate Chip and Whisper White inks to highlight the embossing. It's an easy way to get a great, distressed look!
OK, it's three hours after I started this. We've had class and everyone's gone again. :) I hope you've had a great day, and will have a wonderful Thursday! Be sure to make the time to STAMP something!

Yes, I've been AWOL again!
I got SERIOUSLY wiped out from being gone all weekend last week, then jumping into real life with both feet. I just couldn't get ahead of myself! I'm still behind - I made a to do list for today, and spent half my day doing things for other people! LOL! But that's LIFE, right??
So, I'm here tonight to show you a project from last week's Fall Stamp Camp. This is the fourth year we've done a framed shadow box with a Decor Element on it; this is the LARGEST, because that's the only size Stampin' Up! came out with it this year. It's LARGE - but I really love it!
The background? It's the brown paper that orders come packaged with! We treated it to some TLC, and I just LOVE the way it turned out!!! I love the scarecrow with the "happy heart"; it just SO fits to me. :D I love fall!!!
OK, I'm outta here. It's late, and I'm working on the late Twelve Weeks release, too. I've got to write it up, and decide on what this week is going to be: do I do only ELEVEN weeks, or do a simple one for this week??? :D Dilemma! :D
Have a WONDERFUL day, and be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!!
