eScape Was Wednesday!
This is one project of the two we did. Let me tell you, dear reader, I've found my new favorite way to watercolor! With MARKERS! Look!
You HAVE to use watercolor paper for this. Regular card stock will get too wet, and peel away. Also, definitely use Stazon as your image ink. It doesn't BUDGE. :)
Colors of card stock are More Mustard, Close to Cocoa, and Not Quite Navy. Stamp set is WINDS OF GRACE, and the verse from it is stamped inside the card.
First, drench the area you're going to work on with your Aqua Painter. Using your darker marker, put down some color - then move it where you want with your AP. Put down the next color, and blend. Finish with the lighter color and blend. Go to the next area - you may only want one color, or two.
I did the rocks with Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, and Creamy Caramel. The tower is done with a Bordering Blue, and the banding is Brilliant Blue - be SURE to keep a kleenex or paper towel nearby to blot!!! The cap is More Mustard. Sky is Bashful Blue, and the water is Not Quite Navy and Bordering Blue.
I'd love to hear what you think of this one! :D And to see what YOU are stamping! You ARE stampin', aren't you???? ;)

TOMORROW IS THE DEADLINE!!!
So, it's been crazy around here. :) Last week was the RED, WHITE, & BLUE class - we had a GREAT time! My friend Becky made it here on a whirlwind trip - more about that will be on my personal blog at some future time. :D Here are two of the projects we did:
This one is Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, and Ruby Red. We faux stitched the stripe and the blue field, then used a dimensional to pop the star - from the soon-to-be-retired LABELICIOUS - off the field. Simple but effective, yes? :)
Here's another one:
Really super-simple again. We used Real Red CRAFT ink to emboss the letters from BIG DEAL ALPHABET with Irridescent Ice EP. Layered the stamped strip onto Brilliant Blue and Real Red CS, mounted that on Whisper White. Super-simple! And inside, we stamped "Happy 4th of July" from a retired set.
I still have a couple of projects to show you, but I can't seem to stop getting in this "design then teach" loop! AUGH! :D
Keep watching for the link to start voting on the ANNUAL BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE cards!!! :)
And if you haven't stamped something today, whyever not?!?!? Goodness! Take the time for YOU - and STAMP SOMETHING!!! :)

Happy Birthday to ME!!! :D
Yup, it's my day today. So far, it's been a great day - thank you, Amy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every year, I do a "retired list birthday quick card class", and these are my three favorites from this year! :) Remember: the key word is RETIRED; all of these will use at least one stamp you can no longer GET. :D
This first one, though, only uses ONE retired stamp, the "blessings". The rest are from POLKA DOTS & PAISLEY and HAPPY EVERYTHING, with the Petals Jumbo Stampin' Around Wheel as a background. Colors are Very Vanilla, Brocade Blue, and Rose Red.
Now, THIS one is ALL retired. The cupcake is from TREAT YOURSELF, and the "celebrate" with confetti is from GREAT GREETINGS, a wonderful stamp set!!!! Colors are Pink Passion, Only Orange, and Whisper White. Isn't it great?? I love the colors - SO bright!!!
This is my FAVORITE. This is COAST TO COAST - yes, Amy, I worked my favorite set in. :D The tag is from PARTY PUNCHES, a hostess set from last year. Colors are Bordering Blue, Going Gray, and Whisper White. We used the designer label punch, and used wax paper rolled up on the background as texture.
Let me know what you think - and don't forget to browse back and find out about the ANNUAL BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE - you still have some time to enter!!! :) Go on, take the time to stamp ME something! LOL!!!
